I never was an instrument person. I mean I played piano as a kid sure, but nothing seriously…read more I was gifted a guitar and needed to get the strings tuned. So I headed over to Old Towne Music. The shop has a large selection of guitars mainly but some other stuff like drums. The guy at the counter was fairly helpful in explaining what needed to be fixed. I asked a few basic questions about what to know, how to play, etc. which he answered plainly. He took down my information and I was able to drop my guitar off. He said it would be fixed by next week. I got a call and was able to pay for it and pick it up. He cleaned it up also which I appreciated. I grabbed some picks and went about my day. Now I'm doing some research on the basics but it all came out to be around 65 dollars to change strings, tune it up plus labor. I would recommend if you're needing to fix up an instrument, the staff is knowledgeable and able to answer most of your questions.

He walked out the door and said he'd be in touch. I called him a week later, no answer. That was ten says ago, I still haven't heard a peep from him. Avoid Marty...He is way out of tune.
