So nice to have a tuned piano! Kurt does a superior job! He is well trained and knows the instrument extremely well.

He had three different teachers and all were excellent. Two left without notice or saying goodbye, and the third Naama was his last (any my favorite). The price of the lessons were 220 monthly for 30 minute weekly lessons. This is overpriced compared to other teachers/schools I have found in the area. If you want performance lessons, the price is way higher. I also found that it isn't a warm and welcoming place. No one would greet us, I hadn't had a conversation with anyone other than the drum teachers. It's like we were invisible. Even, the director (who has since left) would walk right by and not acknowledge us. The students were cliquey and not once did anyone say hello to my son, who is very shy and joined SOR to learn and hopefully make friends. Never a hello, how are you guys today?", from anyone. Lessons would be cancelled at the last minute and if I didn't follow up and ask for added time or a reschedule, we wouldn't get one. They were sure to take their fees on time though. If your child is not extremely outgoing and really good on an instrument, don't bother, seek private one on one lessons somewhere else. I suggest Gregory Tech Drum Center in Yardley, PA.

I never was an instrument person. I mean I played piano as a kid sure, but nothing seriously…read more I was gifted a guitar and needed to get the strings tuned. So I headed over to Old Towne Music. The shop has a large selection of guitars mainly but some other stuff like drums. The guy at the counter was fairly helpful in explaining what needed to be fixed. I asked a few basic questions about what to know, how to play, etc. which he answered plainly. He took down my information and I was able to drop my guitar off. He said it would be fixed by next week. I got a call and was able to pay for it and pick it up. He cleaned it up also which I appreciated. I grabbed some picks and went about my day. Now I'm doing some research on the basics but it all came out to be around 65 dollars to change strings, tune it up plus labor. I would recommend if you're needing to fix up an instrument, the staff is knowledgeable and able to answer most of your questions.

I think the highest brand that was in here was a Yamaha, and there were maybe 2-3 of those in the whole place. Nice LOOKING stuff, but certainly more geared toward the beginning musician, or someone on a tight budget. We went to check out the kids music class, and found the setting to be quite chaotic and extremely cramped. The teacher seemed nice, if not a little unhappy to have to be working with 3 year olds, and the man at the counter was very pleasant. I definitely don't see a reason why I would be back here to buy anything, and wouldn't consider lessons for my kid until she was much older.
