Hallo, I worked as a hormone education in the same practice with Phil Warner in California in the 1990s and I was also his patient. I have worked with many doctors. I found him to be a wonderful person, a thorough gentleman, a capable surgeon, and he has had a lifelong long interest and expertise in hormonal therapy. I have had oestrogen implants for 35 years with various surgeons. I have had one or two expel over that time, but you have to remember that the body naturally resists invasion. I don't see that occasionally happening as something to blame the doctor for. I never experienced any pain with the implant with Dr. W. I have with other doctors often, even felt them cut me. Patients can be very rude to staff as well as vice versa and very vindictive in trying to destroy their reputation. I cannot say what happened in this situation. I am in Australia now and not currently in touch with Dr. Warner. I find it difficult to imagine Dr. W. would permit this. I wrote this because I think doctors are vulnerable to people trying to damage their reputation. I am not questioning Maryellen's experience as I don't know her or anything about her experience.
