Great Seafood with friendly service. i had LOCAL HALLIBUT fish n chips. A first for me.All my life, only Cod, probably Ftozen. This was like a better cut of meat. Very different , lighter and more flake like. Just delicious. You could smell it when she set it down on its own fish serving plate. The place was Full of local fishermen talking boats and fishing. The way to experience life here.

Absolutely amazing! We (luckily) came for lunch on the last day of the season and got so much food! They were running a special offer on so many entrees, and they were all HUGE. And the views are second to none. A great time was had by all

Nice little diner like atmosphere, small but cozy with water views, here on a Monday afternoon was a nice steady business of locals and tourists with one person running the front of the house and doing an excellent job! She was attentive and checked in regularly given the amount of people seated at the tables. I went with the local catch of the day fish and chips, Ling Cod. I must say, I've eaten a lot of fish and chips in the PNW during my travels here and this place had some of my favorite! The "Chips" were crinkle cut fries which, controversially, are my favorite type of fry but I know I'm usually in the minority here. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely return

Very good fish and chips and fried shrimp, nice crispy fries and a great view! Only downside was we were told no halibut but the people after us ordered halibut.

Cape Flattery seriously has limited food options, and we chose to stop at this diner like place (not a restaurant for sure) in Neah Bay. View of the Shi Shi Beach is amazing on a sunny day, we even saw the famous bald eagles from here. We ordered Chicken Burger and Red Devil Burger-- both were average, could have been so much better, though. Fries come along with the Burger and were ok as well.

Beth, our excellent server. I asked to take a picture of her and she said the only way was if I was in it, so my wife took this photo

Four of us were in Neah Bay on vacation and some local recommended this restaurant so we said let's try it. The two ladies ordered salads and one added cheese, called "grilled cheese kids," and they both enjoyed their salads. Both my brother-in-law and I ordered Fresh Salmon & Chips and the salmon delicious! I ordered waffle fries to go with my salmon and would give them a 'B-' but edible. Our table was at the window with a nice view of the water, which the ladies really liked. Beth is an excellent server with a good sense of humor and was helpful when asked questions. I asked to take a picture of her to post and she said the only way I could is if I was in it, so my wife took our picture. One thing I haven't been charged ever before but have heard about: there was 3% "credit card surcharge to cover the cost of accepting credit cards." I'd recommend this restaurant as we all enjoyed our salads and salmon.

Pat's Place is considered a culinary treasure among my friends and I…read more We went to Din Tai Fung later in this trip, and Pat's was unanimously voted our favorite spot of this trip, no competition. Pat is in that kitchen cooking up straight Magic. Do yourself a favor and order the pie. Whatever pie there is, get pie. We got a pecan pumpkin pie and this group doesn't like pumpkin or pecan and we were like "okay that's the best pie of my life." The Navajo tacos are incredible. Fry bread incredible. There is not words for the wood past incredible. Just get it. Eat it. We did two orders because we devoured our food so fast. Ashamed to say I almost forgot to mention the chowder- it's the best chowder I've ever had. Like a chicken noodle soup got extra cozy and comfortable and we got clams instead of chicken. It's delicious. We were trying chowders all up the PNW coast and again, Pat unanimously won. Landslide win. Fry bread came out and it was hot, buttery and amazing. Everything was 10/10. My only regret is that I do not have a larger stomach to eat more food. Also I have no clue what people are talking about with rude service? These guys were literally the nicest and friendliest people ever. We ordered everything on the menu except the fry bread and they brought us out one because "you guys really need to try this too." So chatty, so kind, it was worth every penny and more. This is a teeny tiny kitchen and the whole restaurant holds like 4 people waiting in line. We ate outside on picnic tables and enjoyed the view of the harbor and our incredible food. Tables were covered though, so even though it was raining, we stayed dry. Anyways. Sometimes I stare off into space and I just think about the pumpkin pecan pie, and it's been a week.

We originally planned to hike Cape Flattery, but thick coastal fog had other ideas. Looking for a place to grab lunch, we found this small, unassuming restaurant in Neah Bay--and we're so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine hospitality. We even had the pleasure of meeting Pat herself, and she made us feel like longtime friends. That welcoming atmosphere made the experience just as memorable as the food. We ordered the famous Indian taco, served on fresh homemade fry bread, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fry bread was warm, perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and piled high with delicious toppings. We couldn't leave without trying the sweet fry bread dessert, and it was incredible. Warm, lightly crisp, and topped with cinnamon and sugar, it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Pat's Place is cash only, so be sure to plan ahead, but don't let that stop you from visiting. If you're exploring Cape Flattery, Neah Bay, or anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula, this restaurant is absolutely worth the short detour. Great food, wonderful people, generous portions, and authentic local hospitality made this one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area, and we highly recommend stopping in--you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile. Check out our video on our socials @reessroots

Good music , dim lights and not packed with rowdy bar people that makes it hard to hold a conversation. The cider samplers were sized much larger than many other samplers at other establishments. We had the hand pies and gator tacos. Both were absolutely perfect. The hand pies were flakey and hearty. The tacos were a balance of a duck-like meat mixed with crunch greens.I even finished my fried, which is rare since I'm always on a lower carb diet. Hahaha We discussed coming back to Port Angeles just to get dinner here again, despite it being 2+ hours away from Seattle. It was that good. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.

Shockingly expensive for what we got…read more We came here with four adults and one 8-year-old child while trying to catch the ferry back toward Seattle. We had originally tried to eat at the gastropub just two doors down, but it was completely packed with a 45-minute to 1-hour wait. Meanwhile, Base Camp had only 2-3 occupied tables out of maybe 10-12, so because we were short on time, we decided to eat here instead. Unfortunately, I wish we had waited or gone somewhere else. Here's what we ordered: - Two alcohol flights -- $16 each - Dungeness crab dip -- $18 - Chicken wings -- $20 - Hot honey apple butter flatbread -- $16 - Garlic butter steak bites -- $20 - Cider-braised pulled pork tacos -- $21 - Mac and cheese -- $18 - Kids' cheeseburger -- $13 Our bill was $176 before tip. After a $25 tip and a 3% credit-card fee that we didn't notice until afterward, we spent a little over $200 for five people -- more than $40 per person, including our 8-year-old. My eyeballs practically popped out of my head when I saw the total. There were definitely some positives. I really like the concept of sourcing ingredients locally, and they even have a map showing where their ingredients come from. Our server was friendly. The chicken wings were really good, the fries with the kids' cheeseburger were also very good, and the cheeseburger itself was probably one of the better things we ordered. But for these prices, I expected considerably more. The $20 garlic butter steak bites were extremely chewy. Some pieces felt like I was chewing forever. The $18 mac and cheese was nothing special and honestly tasted like something I could make better at home. The $18 Dungeness crab dip was a very small appetizer and didn't feel worth the price. And the $21 pulled pork tacos were just two average-sized tacos. The portions in general were surprisingly small. Even when we asked for plates for all the shared food, we were given tiny appetizer-sized plates, maybe six inches across. Trying to actually eat off them without food falling off the sides was awkward. Full-sized plates would have made much more sense. The atmosphere wasn't particularly enjoyable either. The music was louder than I would want for a restaurant, and the speaker system sounded distorted and very bass-heavy. Instead of being pleasant background music, it was distracting and made the dining experience less comfortable. The alternative-style music selection also wasn't to my taste, although obviously that's subjective. A lower volume and clearer sound system would have made the atmosphere much nicer. I don't mind paying premium prices for a genuinely great meal. But this simply did not feel like a $200 meal. We ate at another pub the previous day and spent around $100 for all five of us, and we left much more satisfied. In retrospect, seeing only 2-3 tables occupied here while the gastropub two doors down was completely packed probably should have been our clue. I really wanted to like Base Camp because I appreciate the local-sourcing concept, and the wings were legitimately good. But between the small portions, very high prices, chewy steak bites, mediocre mac and cheese, unpleasant sound system, and $200+ final cost, I can't justify more than two stars. If we're back in Port Angeles, we'll be eating somewhere else.

After a long day of hiking and driving from Port Angeles to Forks, we did the Hoh trails and were extremely hungry after. We looked on Yelp and this was one of the highest rated places, so we thought it would be good. I genuinely do not understand the ratings. The food was terrible. The nachos were basically just a bag of stale chips served on a plate. There was maybe sour cream on ONE chip. The cheese was literally cold and frozen onto the chips. I'm not even exaggerating. The sandwiches were also extremely bland and nothing about the food matched what the reviews made this place seem like. Even looking through the reviews beforehand, so many of the Elite reviews read like the same forced AI review saying how amazing everything is. After actually eating here, I seriously question how this place has such a high rating. Easily one of the worst meals we had on the entire trip. I don't even wanna put a pic of the nachos that's how bad it was. the sandwiches were actually pretty decent that's about it.
