The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. In between meals, we made sure to stay active to earn our appetite. The property offers access to great trails in the Smokies which we took advantage of as well as a lovely outdoor pool with a view. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We decided to take the plunge and we are so happy we did. It's a 3 night minimum and frankly a great idea to take it all in. We enjoyed the following activities ; Fly Fishing, wine tasting , the spa , a farm tour , & tomato tasting. All were spectacular and unique to themselves. The culinary experience is nothing short of a Michelin experience for dinner. The price is all inclusive , sans your alcohol. The service is world class and the staff makes you feel so welcome. Whether it's a special occasion or a bucket list item , I would say it's a must in your lifetime !! Side note- We thought this would be a one and done. However, the level of experience and ability to unplug was extremely therapeutic. Hope you enjoy the review by LIKING it and sharing feedback :).

I cannot say enough good things about this place! We stayed in "Lake my Day" (LOVE the fun names…read morethey give the rooms) Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed and bedding were absolutely luxurious! Our own private deck with a full size, well functioning hot tub was why we rented this place to begin with. And it did not disappoint. Our hot tub cover was done, water logged and difficult for one person to take off, but thats fixable.... And did not deter our enjoyable time at all. We star gazed from the hot tub. The morning was just as good. I got up at Sunrise and sat in that tub water the wild life. The small villas have privacy screen walls for the decks. The two end units are more open without privacy screens on the corners. There is a one time cleaning fee so if you stay more than 1 night, the cost is VERY affordable. I very much wish we had just rented this place the WHOLE time we were in TN. I am sad to leave. This was a perfect jumping off ground to the Great Smokey Mountains and Knoxville. The owner was delightful, easy to work with and i am thrilled they bought this place 3 years ago. Anything i can do to support this hard working young family, i will do. Stay here. Its GREAT!

Horrible place, don't waste your money!!!!!!

When securing the hot springs resort and spa, my "friend" wanted to book it late at night around 9 pm. I wasn't too fond of that idea since I wanted to view the scenery. Anyway, he changed the reservation time by phone. We went with the basic package for 60 minutes. Once we arrived, the parking lot was spacious. We went to check in and purchased some souvenirs that were a bit on the pricey side. An older gentleman who was nice walked us to our hot springs which was just a secluded hot tub near a free-flowing body of water. The hot tub temperatures were warm and not skin-burning hot, but it was perfect since it eased my tense and painful muscles that I had been temporarily suffering since the beginning of the week. I can't say if the water was real mineral water or not. I just wasn't expecting the hot springs to be a hot tub with jets. My expectations were much higher, as I had imagined like the ones in Colorado. I was hoping to nestle my body against some geological formations as I was engulfed in peace and relaxation.

The first visit we stayed during covid in December so it was just our group of 4 and one other couple staying in the resort. It was nice because it felt so private. We stayed in the resort rooms and we were surprised with how nice they are. Everything was clean. It was a bit small but we made it work. The second visit we stayed in their cabins and preferred it more. we got 2 bedrooms and each one had 2 beds so all of us slept comfortably. I loved that the cabin comes with a full kitchen and table so we spent our night playing board games. The park itself has so much to do. There are tons of hiking trails, horseback riding and even boat tours that take you up close to the waterfall. You have to go to the Moon bow at least once in your lifetime. It's when the moon hits the water at the right angle and you see a rainbow at night. It is a cool experience but it does get really crowded so you may want to come early. Cumberland Falls gave me unrealistic expectations for state parks because this what I feel like most state parks should be like.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND staying at Lazy Bear Cabin at White Oak Resort. When we arrived we found several broken things. I assumed it was a cabin in the woods so I guess they just left everything as is after it was broken. However, I watch over my shoulder every step I take and take pictures or videos of everything in case something like this happens. I am livid. We arrived to the cabin our first night of vacation on June 9th around 4:30. We went to purchase groceries for our stay after we unloaded our luggage. On June 10th. We made burgers on the grill outside. We started chocolate chip cookies in the oven after supper. For cookies and a movie with the kids. The cookies were in the oven for six minutes. My husband and I were in the bedroom when my son ran into the bedroom screaming the stove was pouring out smoke. My husband turned the oven off and removed the cookies from the oven. It took a couple of hours to get the smoke smell out of the cabin. My husband looked at the oven the best he could but wasn't sure what was wrong. The only thing we could tell was the heating element above the oven was turning on and the lower element wasn't coming on. I was scared to leave the stove plugged in so I unplugged it for the night and contacted the host. The next morning I plugged it back in and it was doing the same as the night before so I unplugged it again. The host sent out a repair service that arrived that afternoon some time. The repair guy said it malfunctioned and needed to be reset. Well, other than that and the broken stuff. We tried to enjoy vacation. Then I receive a message a little bit ago about the host charging us for damage. I refuse to be charged for something we didn't do. I stay on my kids about cleanliness and being careful not to break stuff, even at my own house. I stay on them about cleaning behind themselves, and when they don't clean behind themselves I clean behind them. I can't stand messes. I can't stand anything being out of place much more. Every dish was washed and put up before we left. Every counter was cleaned. The kitchen table was cleaned. It was killing me not to be able to sweep and mop the floor. However, all that was provided was a broom. No dust pan and no mop. I assure you everything that could be picked up with the bare hand was picked up though. The only towels that were left were the ones we used right before we left and I put those by the washer. The rest were folded and put up. Literally the only things left to do were to make the beds (because we left at 5 a.m. for our nine and a half hour drive) and wash a load of towels. And I left these people 5 star reviews on everything out of the kindness of my heart. ‍

We loved the huge deck and the easy access to the stairs down to the playground and dock (do be aware that there is no fence on either side of the stairs so you need to be extra cautious with little ones.) The pool was a huge hit as were the kayaks and paddle board. We rented a pontoon for three days and found several coves to swim on the lake where we were the only group there. A couple helpful hints if you plan to stay here...1. Bring lots of drinking water as the well water tasted very high in minerals. 2. Bring extra camp chairs if you are coming with a group and want to all be able to enjoy the deck at the same time (we ended up eating dinner outside every night). 3. Rent the golf cart if you have anyone in your party with mobility limitation. 4. Make sure you get up at least one morning for sunrise. You can see it while sitting on the deck and is truly magnificent. I can't recommend this place
