My wife and I celebrated our relocated 25th anniversary in Asheville recently so I needed a local…read moreflorist to enhance our celebrations. I found Thoughtfully Curated through an online search and reached out to them via email. Ten minutes later the owner responded back confirming that they can definitely take care of my needs including delivery to our hotel as well as a few suggestions. Five minutes later everything was ordered and confirmed. On our big day the owner texted me a picture of the flowers (they looked great) and confirmed that now would be a good time to send them over as we were wrapping up breakfast and a bit of work. When we got back to the room the arrangement was in a prominent spot and after a few moments my lovely wife took a double take and expressed her amazement of "me" being able to make this happen in an out of town environment. I said that I had some help with some new Asheville friends and told her the story. Later in the day the hotel Concierge told me that she really enjoyed helping me with getting the flowers into the room and that she had a great conversation with the florist owner (she delivered the flowers herself) whom she had been trying to meet with on another matter. Serendipity. You would think things would end here but with a high touch level of customer service, the owner Mara answered my text about how to care for the arrangement (they lasted several weeks) and how to get them home on our 200 mile drive back to Atlanta. She even asked me about where we had been and where we were going during the remainder of our visit. She even suggested a few hiking and walking trails in town and in the nearby mountains that even our hotel Concierge was not aware of. I think that we have a florist for life now in Asheville.

Really wanted to shop local instead of a national chain. Thoughtfully Curated's website was very easy to use! And so happy they were able to work with us on short notice. My mother in law loved her flowers! Would definitely recommend!

I ordered flowers online through their website. They have a phone number listed ((828) 669-7325)…read morebut after spending my entire day pulling my hair out chasing down my order (as I will explain in great detail) this number is connected to a phone which is either out of service or broken. The voicemail to this phone number is also full, so don't bother. The photos of this business posted on Google are deceiving. Black Mountain Floral Center is not a stand alone shop. Although, yes, they have their own door- it remains permanently locked and if it were to ever be unlocked it opens up to the smoke shop inside which the business actually resides. Black Mountain Floral Center is in fact only a tiny desk inside of a smoke shop. Nobody sits at this desk and since their phone is permanently shut off, there is really no point in having a store front at all. Now on to my experience with this business today: At 5:00AM I placed my order with the website. This website is run by a larger company which runs many floral type businesses and helps these shops conduct their companies. The website assured me that my order would be able to be delivered same day. No problem. In the "special instructions" area, I noted to please deliver my order to my recipient's work address between the hours of 11:00AM and 3:00PM On Google, Black Mountain Floral Center's hours of operation are 9:00AM-5:00PM. So at 10:00AM I called (828) 669-7325 which is their business phone number listed both on their website and on Google so I can check on my order and confirm that my order would be delivered to the recipient in time while they were still at work. I wanted to have confirmation from a human being since so far I had only placed my order through a website. As I stated before, their phone number goes straight to voicemail. It is broken or disconnected. So I called again at 11:00. I was not yet aware that the phone was broken. And I called at 11:30, 11:45, and 12:00. At this point I was getting very worried. So I decided to drive myself over to the floral shop. Did I say flora shop? I meant to say SMOKE SHOP. Where I had to speak with the operator of THAT business who called the florist from some OTHER working number who magically got the florist on the line. I was told my order was next to be delivered. This was at 12:20. Another two hours go by and only then were my flowers delivered. So the moral of the story is: if you want to spend your entire day pulling your hair out, biting your nails, and wondering where your floral order is, then this is the florist for you! Otherwise find a local business that understands the importance of customer service and access to a BUSINESS PHONE!

The vast bulk of goods on sale are junk with flour and sugar in the forefront. It is extremely difficult to buy ingredients for healthy meals there. It is annoying to have to make the trek to Whole Foods or Publix in South Asheville but it is a necessity for any kind of healthy diet. Can't you get with it Ingles? Stop discriminating against our community! We are not as unsophisticated and ignorant as you appear to think. Even a small separate section of healthy ingredients would draw me back into your Fairview store.

I saw a little clothing for sale by the spirits, which brings a smile to my face. Stuff like that reminds me of Woolworth's. When I went to purchase a muffin, I noticed some things: the muffins were still in the pan they were baked in, and when you removed the muffin from the pan, you could see oil in the muffin mold. Too much oil. One star off for that. However, this Ingles has period products for free in the bathroom. That is huge. That is progressive and compassionate. A lot of people have financial struggles. Sometimes you just forget to replenish your period supplies in your purse. My daughters- both with social anxiety- would never dream of asking anyone for a maxi pad or tampon in a period emergency. We check expiration dates of products before purchase. It has become second nature to us. Expired stuff is everywhere. OCD stockers are needed. While this Ingles does not project overwhelming pep, it still is alright by me.
