The cover is $10 and you can purchase your ticket online. They don't take cash. It starts at 10pm and ends at 2am. I got there closer to 11:30pm and there were lots of people already there. Everyone was super friendly and they actually ask you to dance. I had such a good time dancing. The floors are smooth and perfect to dance. There was also a performance at midnight. We scheduled our Free lesson which gave us the opportunity to learn basic mechanics and discuss our expectations. This was around COVID-19 approaching so we went forward with lessons. One lesson in and the city was on lockdown. The hubby and I practiced for the most part and when they opened back up there was only two weeks left For the big day. Out Dance instructor Nick was extremely personable and professional. He is amazing at what he does and we learned so much about his broad background. We feel like we gained a friend. The atmosphere at Arthur Murray is super inviting even if you feel like you may not have much experience. Our first dance was a success and it started with pretty much baby steps leading up to the finale. Our guests loved it and went wild during the BIG surprise and actually all the way leading up to. I highly recommend for couples to make an investment whether it be for wedding dance or dance in general. It's a fun activity and your able to tap into abilities that you may never thought that you had. It felt like date night every single lesson! I would do it all over again and actually plan to return maybe when things calm down with COVID.

The "coaches" aren't knowledgeable to instruct proper form. - I went jogging with one of the "coaches" once. She spent the whole time trying to get me to be an Herbalife distributor. The girl was unable to jog more than a half mile, but she can teach classes? - The whole studio is just Herbalife. They have this gimmick that you can train for free. The catch is you have to become an Herbalife distributor and make money off of it. The money you earn pays for the classes. Spoiler alert: you won't make money. Another spoiler: they deny they are an Herbalife studio despite Herbalife products being everywhere. - The classes are just ridiculous. "Booty Tuesdays" and what not. Want to guess what exercise they will do? I'll give you a hint: "squats" - OK this one bugs me. This studio is aimed primarily towards women. Cool, but why on this green earth do you choose the worst, most misogynistic form of reggaeton to dance to? OK you want the beat, fine, but lyrics saying "eres una puta" and "culea culea perrea perrea" wtf? - The lady who runs the place seems nice enough, but her cringe level is very high. Being cringy isn't a deal breaker but her constant shilling of Herbalife is. - I feel bad for the people who come here. I really do. - Seriously, if you REALLY want to lose weight, then try somewhere else. You will get better results walking around the block than coming here, and you're less likely to be injured. - Oh no, they have kettlebells. Who wants to do kettlebell swings incorrectly and throw out your back? - You need a 3 hour course to teach zumba, and believe me, it shows with these "coaches". - Write these words on pieces of paper: you, got, this slayer, queen, ladies, today, slay. Jumble them and re-arrange them in any order. That's the cringy message you will see every single day. You need better marketing. If you drive by this place, just keep going, shake your head, and thank yourself for not wasting your time. They have merch such as journals, clothing, water bottles ballet shoes, and other items for sale in the front entry. The back area looks like the practice studio and they have one room in the front where they seated about 50 people to watch a free show of highlights from their current season. I love that they opened it to everyone and a few community groups of adults were attending at the time. What a sweet way to allow everyone to be able to enjoy ballet. My daughter loves ballet and it really doesn't take much to make her happy but both times she had a ballet teacher that suddenly disappeared and saddened her immensely. Speaking from a business standpoint, this ballet school is very poorly run and seems to have significant issues keeping teachers, running itself consistently, and being financially honest. In the time that we've gone here, these are the things I took away: 1- Financially fraudulent. We've had to fight to keep money in our pocket as faulty contracts and constant changes seem to give the director the impression she is entitled to money that is not hers to take or keep. This is a big one for me and honestly should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. 2- Staffing seems to be an issue. Both teachers that my daughter was attached to disappeared without warning and no explanation. This was devastating to my daughter both times and showed the lack of care or accountability this ballet studio has towards its students. Other students or Danielle, the director, took over the classes, which wasn't received well by the girls. Parents expressed the same sentiments and agreed that this was the main reason they were going elsewhere for their kids. 3- Lack of organization and communication: we participated in one production and it will be our last with San Antonio Ballet school. Along with many other parents, we were consistently frustrated with the lack of information and direction throughout the process. Shocked at the financial expectations and chaotic environment that spoke only of complete inexperience or dismissive attitudes. With young dancers, it's natural to be cautious and inquisitive about the process and the safety of your child. These questions were treated like they were idiotic and unnecessary which led many of us parents to share as much information in the hopes of helping each other. It was insane and the end result was that most parents were looking to new ballet studios or weren't participating in another production. There were few volunteers involved in the production that were family or friends of the director or parents of ballet students. Needless to say, some parents directly told me they were not participating because of previous bad experiences. This spoke again of a poorly run business. For me, this is all the reasons I need to seek ballet elsewhere. It seemed to me that while Danielle was an apt teacher, she should leave the actual running of the business to someone with more integrity and experience. Her biggest piece of clout also seems to be her belief that her studio is the most inclusive, while I think she has more integral problems to worry about.
