Much cheaper than $3,000. It's a father and son place (not sure if it is still that way) My dentist was Ken Jr. He used this electronic scraper thing for my teeth instead of doing it manually, which took 1/3 of the time. Got on me about not flossing, and recommended an electronic toothbrush, which was the best advice ever. They are not pushy, don't recommend anything unnecessary, no nonsense kind of place. It is pretty busy, but I got an appointment within a week.

Being new to the area, I spent a lot of time researching practices that met my needs and budget. More importantly somewhere with a kind and transparent staff. Tiger Smile checked all the boxes. I told them about my anxiety and they were very accommodating. They're handling COVID-19 very well and have an effective system in place so there's no interaction with other patients. Everyone on staff- receptionists, hygienists, assistants, dentist- make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They made sure I understood my procedure and paperwork, and of course answered any questions I had. I'm not sure if this is helpful for anyone, but they do seem to have an all female staff (besides the other dentist, who I have never seen). Personally, although I'm not sure why, this helped me feel even more comfortable. Lastly, they offer an annual membership package that helps with the cost. In my research, I noticed at least half of the places I looked didn't have anything like this or even some sort of new patient discount. Tiger Smile isn't the only great option in Baton Rouge area, but it's top tier. And it was the best option for me, so I'm thankful! And my teeth and gums feel great!

They have this offer where it's only $19 for a emergency exam and X-ray. Well I went in hoping that they could help me out and they did! Apparently one of my fillings had fallen out, and since I have sensitive teeth, the nerve pain was what was causing the toothache. They treated it temporarily, gave me an rx for some high-strength ibuprofen, which worked wonders. Who would've thought. Thanks Tiger Smile for saving my family vacation. Dr. Vance is the most fantastic dentist in the world. His dedication and skill have made a huge…read moredifference in the quality of my life. I came to him a few years ago with extreme dental challenges, having undergone fillings, implants and crowns at different times by different providers. The colors of my crowns did not match, the work was beginning to fail and I was self conscious about my smile. Dr. Vance undertook a heroic effort to design and implement a full mouth dental plan. This was a massive project that required not only his excellent dentistry, but coordination with an oral surgeon (Dr. Akin), an endodontist (Dr. Corbett) and crown processing lab (Bayou State Crown), all of which Dr. Vance planned, organized and supervised. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Vance was patient, understanding and supportive. He is a wonderful person and his entire office staff, especially Ashley and Jeannie, are exceptional human beings. Dr. John is an excellent dentist. I have dental insurance but it doesn't pay much if anything…read moretowards prophylaxis. The final bill is usually about $115 for a standard cleaning. To me, it's worth it. The reason why I switch to Dr. John was because I was moving cross-country. I had seen my previous dentist who noted that I had a cavity in a certain tooth (I totally trusted this dentist, had him for a long time). When I came to Baton Rouge, I saw Dr. John but didn't tell him that I thought I had a cavity -- he and his hygienist found the cavity w/o being told and it was in the same tooth (it was a small cavity, could have been easily overlooked). I've had no cavities since then and always get great treatment by Dr. John and his staff.
