He has really helped my brother the most of all the others. Dr. Hetznecker is very caring, thorough and he really knows what he is doing. I can't recommend him enough. One of the other doctors my brother met with - Dr. Gruenberg - is at the same practice and is great also. Dr. Hetznecker works more often I think with children and I can see how he would be great with children. For those who know about this sort of thing, Dr. Hetznecker is an expert in cognitive behavioral therapy. He is not the least expensive, but the expense is worth it when you get expertise.

No one wants to be at their low point, but it does happen unfortunately. I was at my lowest point when I first went to see Dr. Guo. I had given up on myself and life at that point. But even though I gave up, Dr. Guo never gave up on me. He stuck by me, which is very important, because not all psychiatrists will see you if they think you might be too high maintenance. And even though I didn't have much faith in myself, I always had some faith in Dr. Guo. We would go through a lot of trials of what the best medication for me was. It would take us 2 years to find the right medication. But during this time, Dr. Guo understood my disappointments when certain medications didn't work and always had my confidence I was still in good hands. I am giving 5 stars not just because he's a great psychiatrist but because he made me realize the therapist I initially saw was not working. I had seen a therapist and it wasn't working, I simply thought I was untreatable and nothing could be done for me. Luckily enough, he was able to realize the therapist had not explored all available avenues for me. So I changed therapists and boy what a difference it made. By the time I was with the new therapist, we had found the best medication that worked for me. Today, I don't see Dr. Guo regularly as I am doing much better. Also, I have the confidence if I ever fall to my low point again, Dr. Guo will help me get back up. As I said in the first paragraph, no one ever wants to get to their low point, but when it does happen, you need someone who is there for you at your low point. Dr. Guo was that man.

In the past, psychiatrists have made me feel more like a test subject than a person. With Dr. Abrams that is absolutely not the case as she is very warm and forthcoming.
