In one instance, a NP misdiagnosed a skin condition. I even spoke up and said "I know it's not that". Upon getting a 2nd opinion elsewhere, the condition was correctly diagnosed, and treated. As well as feeling gaslit over certain symptoms, and possible treatments by 2 different doctors during my time as a patient there. We were lucky he took over for a Doctor that was retiring (Dr Smith), it just so happen here did his residency in Corpus Christi where we had lived. They say God works is ways we don't understand. Dr Rad Kothmann was the doctor who took over for Dr Smith. We have had Dr Kothmann for about 15 yrs. He never treated us like he was better than us or became we were in the older bracket. With his help he helped me with my many real medical problems & worked with we me to keep me out of ER. When my husband became sick he listen to what I to say, he admitted him found a blood clot & that he has blood cancer which was no treatment for. I think he took it harder than me) my husband & I have been married 55 + yrs. my husband went to hospice Dr Kothmann had his nurses check on my husband twice a day & they wee a phone call away. He made sure my husband was comfortable and not in pain. He also kept an eye on me. He is a family man with a wonderful wife a two great daughters I should know I met them. We called two ERs beforehand--this one was immediately kind, reassuring, and let us know there was no one else in the waiting room at the time. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken back in under 10 minutes. The staff was incredibly kind, and within another 10 minutes, the nurse practitioner had already treated my son. X-rays were done quickly (impressive with a wiggly toddler), and results came back in about 30 minutes. By then, my son had fallen asleep, and the staff went out of their way to be quiet and accommodating--whispering, dimming the lights, and even letting us stay in the room so he could rest. When we were ready to leave, checkout was quick and friendly. Within two hours, my son was back to normal and running around. He was even able to be a ring bearer that evening with no issues! Hopefully you never need an ER, but if you do--especially with a child--I highly recommend this one.

My dentist in San Antonio was difficult to deal with because postponing your appointment meant…read moreanother 3 - 4 month wait. Since the pandemic ended, doctor's offices have learned to economize so booking your appointment is pretty much written in stone. Any changes and the customer will suffer delays. That's why I changed my dentist to Fredericksburg Dentistry. They are very accommodating and still old school when it comes to dentistry, cleaning teeth or periodontal maintenance. The place is very clean, all their front office people are friendly and of course, the hygienist and dentists in the back office are busy treating their patients. I have had the same hygienist for all my previous visits, and we are becoming more acquainted with each other. She has the softest touch! It's quite a drive for me to get there from my hill country home but it's worth it. What normally would have been a 25-minute trip became 45 minutes because of road construction and maintenance. No matter, just being able to drive to Fredericksburg is a joy by itself!
