Sorry to say my last experience with Sterling was less than satisfactory. The quality of the…read morerepairs has gone downhill in the last few years. I left a piece to be repaired and got it back in worse condition than I left it. I had to leave it again to be fixed the right way. When I picked it up the second time, the sales person was condescending and made me feel like it did not understand the nature of the repair, however, I knew exactly what I was talking about. She just did not want to admit that the poor quality repair was their mistake. Sterling has always in the past been known for quality repairs, however, this time they missed the mark and I don't know that I will trust them again.

Bought a pendant & chain here, high quality sterling silver and nice options. The tall girl who…read morehelped me always looks like she is being held captive. She costantly looks miserable and never smiles, no small talk ... whenever I shop there I get stuck with her and I wish I had the confidence to ask to switch sales people, because she makes shopping feel like a chore! I've gone in before and wanted to purchase but she was the one who helped me/belittled me over stones, so I left without making a purchase. I went back a few weeks later to get the jewelry I wanted and I got stuck with her again!! Didn't purchase. Great stock/options but need better sales people who seem like they want to help you.

The ring setting was bent and Maddie treated it with love, compassion, care and unbelievable skill. She repaired it, literally while I waited! Christina invested her time and attention to understanding the story behind the ring and why it's importance to me matters more than anything. I cannot say enough about Malloves Jewelers in Middletown- exceptional, genuine, knowledgeable.. the customer service is unreal. I will absolutely return to have the setting reinforced. I know Maddie will take good care of it! I am also bringing my mom back to have her ring looked over. There is no one else I trust! Malloves is the best there is!

Thank you, Pedro, for helping us throughout this wedding journey. Pedro helped my fiancé create the…read moreengagement ring that was absolutely perfect for me. He is friendly, genuine, attentive, and incredibly honest. My fiancé originally came in just for my engagement ring, but we ended up purchasing my two bands, his wedding band, and all of my wedding jewelries here as well. There are so many beautiful options to choose from, and if we couldn't find something specific, Pedro always found a way to make it happen. We truly love doing business with Pedro and have decided this is the store we'll continue trusting for years to come. Any future gifts--from jewelry to watches--will definitely be purchased here. Highly recommended!

I'm typically not one to leave a negative review but felt the circumstances warranted it in this…read morecase. I visited Glastonbury Jewelers on a Saturday to look at tennis bracelets, and found one that I thought I liked. Sandi, one of the saleswomen, was incredibly sweet and helpful and assisted me with trying on the bracelet, recommending sizing for it, etc. As it was clear the bracelet was too big, I paid but left the bracelet to be shortened by half an inch. Later that day and after talking to my husband, I decided I wanted a bigger carat weight bracelet, and he wanted to be the one to buy it for me. I called the store to have them pause on shortening the bracelet, but was unable to get in touch with anyone as the store was closed. Come Tuesday morning, I called the store again (due to them being closed Sunday-Monday) and spoke to the owner's daughter and explained that I wanted to return the bracelet, and have my husband buy me a bigger one; I offered to pay for the time and labor incurred in shortening the bracelet. She assured me that there was no need to pay for the time/labor, and it shouldn't be a problem to add the removed diamond links back to the bracelet. I then decided to swing by the store later that day to receive the refund, and spoke with the owner, Tony. He refused to let me return the bracelet (mind you, the bracelet had not left the store since I bought it Saturday, three days prior) because it had already been shortened (if the store policy is no refunds once an item is shortened, etc, TELL your customers that BEFORE they decide to do so!!) I explained that I no longer wanted the bracelet, and again offered to pay for the time and labor incurred. He refused, stating he couldn't let me return it for a refund as this was "not right" and offered me a store credit. I AGAIN explained that this was no help to me, as I wanted a bigger bracelet that my husband wanted to be the one to buy for me; offering me a credit was just me using the majority of my money for a bigger bracelet. He then went into some rambling explanation of how he had the bracelet "on memo" and couldn't take it back because he needed to sell it....but then also said he would have let me return it had it not been shortened (still not sure how this logic makes any sense, but okay). I half entertained using the credit for something else, and having my husband still purchase me a bigger bracelet; however, each custom item I wanted to make was met with some kind of resistance "it's hard to get a good heart shaped diamond, etc, etc" (no, it's not, as I asked two other jewelers I frequently use who said this was no difficult task). At that point, I was so fed up that I just left and said I'd let Tony know what I'd do. I came back the next day and picked up the bracelet, which I then sold to my aunt who wanted a tennis bracelet. Luckily I got my money back, and am now purchasing a new bracelet and a few other pieces from a jeweler I typically use who actually offers superb customer service. If Anthony hadn't been so resistant, he would have ended up making more money by letting me return the bracelet, as I would have purchased more items and my aunt would have bought the one I returned. Long story short, there's better jewelers with much better customer service and return policies than this one. Avoid!!
