The people who stay at Inn at 425 appreciate the beauty of the turn of the century decorations and they love Kansas City. Great conversation! Our stay at 425 was a special time of our trip which we valued as equal to any of the attractions of KC. It was to converse and get to know Stephan and Carl, the owners. Here are the details: - This is a fine location that is close to attractions of KC: WWI Museum, Truman Library and Steamboat Arabia exhibit were our favorites. - Taking Lyft to dinner is quick and easy. (We enjoyed Q29 BBQ.) - The details I appreciated: coddled eggs served in beautiful coddlers, quality cutlery being placed perfectly (knife side in!), tasteful placement of antiques that give the room warmth and character. - Clean! I mused the bathroom floor was clean enough to eat off of... but I did not. - Attentive service! I brought back a six pack of ale and put into the cooler. At that time, there were only wine glasses standing by, but in the morning, Weizen glasses appeared in the collection. - I can't say enough of the quality! The food was real! Thick slices of real ham, fresh fruit; and even the capers were high end. There is a lot to see and do in KC. Sofie and I look forward to returning to the Inn at 425 to see our new friends Stephen and Carl! Maybe we will take a day and just sit out in the garden at 425. It's that kind of place!

Ten of us recently rented out the whole Inn for a Junior High School reunion. Carl and Stephan worked hard to make sure everything was just right for us. Every detail was perfect - the ornately welcoming Victorian home was an elegant, but homey place for us to come together, each of the rooms was sparklingly clean and perfectly decorated and the breakfasts were amazing. The Inn At 425 was such a fabulous venue for our get together, I can hardly wait to bring my husband back for a romantic weekend. Carl and Stephan, you ROCK!!! With Love, Beth and the Girls

The hotel is not too far off the interstate which is really good access to restaurants shopping and gas station. I was pleasantly surprised how nice My Place was, it was freezing cold(great AC!) in the room. It had a fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were so nice and comfortable. It also had a good size restroom and nice shower. We liked this place a lot and was better than a casino we stayed at for a different concert a few weeks prior. My place also locks the lobby after 11pm, you need your room key/card to get in after hours which is nice and helps to make you feel secure. I jokingly told the employee working that night that we missed curfew! He politely laughed!! lol I won't forget to mention that the staff was great when we checked in, came back from concert and when we checked out.

The rooms were very nice (VERY comfortable beds and soft towels) and had amenities like an ice maker and sink with dish soap to wash dishes, as well as a stove . Jodie at the front desk was extremely kind and understanding and even allowed me an extension to stay in my room to ensure my car was okay to drive. She also answered all of my questions regarding surveillance and security for the hotel since my car was packed with things. Other than great customer service, this hotel is also very close to a lot of restaurants and provides shade for wherever you park your car in the lot.

My family and I entered and weren't greeted, despite there only being one other table seated. We ended up walking across the dining room ourselves before eventually being acknowledged. Not the strongest start. Once inside, the atmosphere had its ups and downs. The space itself is beautiful, but some details--like visible weeds and black tablecloths--took away from the overall polish. That said, things started to turn around once we got settled. I had the chance to meet the chef, who was incredibly personable and clearly passionate about his craft. We kicked things off with appetizers, and this is where the kitchen really began to shine. The lobster rangoons and tempura shrimp were both excellent--crispy, flavorful, and well-executed. For entrées, my daughter and sister-in-law both ordered the chef's burger and really enjoyed it. My niece had the steak frites and absolutely loved it. My wife ordered the lemon brick chicken with gnocchi and olive tapenade. After tasting it, I felt the gnocchi could have benefited from a quick sauté in clarified butter, finished with a squeeze of lemon and fresh herbs to bring out the depth the dish promised. I went with the Wagyu burger. The cook on it was spot-on, but the execution fell short. It came topped with three large slabs of bacon hanging well over the sides, making it difficult to eat without taking it apart. After adjusting it myself, I noticed it was under-seasoned--something as simple as a finishing salt would have elevated the richness of the Wagyu significantly. Overall, Ophelia's has a lot of potential. The food shows promise, the chef clearly knows his craft, and the space is visually appealing. With a few adjustments in both service and execution, this could easily become a top-tier spot. I'll be back--and I'd still recommend giving it a try. 4 out of 5 forks.

For a few months we were looking at hotels around the area and for this and that reason, we could not decide. It was coming down to a few weeks before the conference and we didnt have a place to stay. I desperately googled housing near ihop and Paul & Djany's website www.Housingnearihop.com popped up! At first I did a double take because I thought, what are the odds...a good/clean/affordable place?! It turned out to be better than any hotel/motel we could have booked. Their website is very easy to navigate. I just filled out the booking form and Paul promptly replied the next day. Even before we met, Paul encouraged us via the emails that we were going to encounter God and be blessed :) I felt so encouraged and became even more excited for the conference. When we arrived, we walked into their very warm and cozy home. Our clean/beautifully decorated master bedroom welcomed us with chocolates/candies on the bed. The master bedroom has a bathroom attached, so it was very convenient. You are welcomed to use the kitchen- store your food in the fridge/cabinets and cook your meals. The house is very close to IHOP's main sanctuary (8 min drive), as well as the Prayer Room (5 min drive). You can even walk to the prayer room from their home and IHOP has shuttles that take you straight to the main sanctuary. The hosts Paul & Djany were absolutely amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Usually when I am away from home, I become home sick but I was at complete peace and was so blessed during our stay. They truly want to encourage & bless everyone that walks through their doors and oh how I felt the love of God through them. I'll never forget the wonderful time of prayer/praise/fellowship that we shared. I just knew God lead us to their home. I am so thankful to this beautiful couple and to all the wonderful friends we met during our stay. Love you guys!! We will be back soon! Save a room for us :D Love, Michelle :)

And lastly, their hospitality displays their deep love for Jesus and conveys their uncompromising hungry which is contagious for all those that get an opportunity to be in their presence.
