There is plenty of parking in the lot and the hotel is close to many restaurants and services of all types. The room was large and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well (as it was hot outside), the bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. In addition, I was able to log on to the internet for free as a guest, which i really appreciated. There are guest laundry facilities on every other floor, which is nice if they are needed. The included breakfast buffet was well stocked with all that is expected in a full breakfast, including hot items such as eggs and breakfast meats. And the hotel has a large number of tables for the breakfast patrons, so finding a table was not an issue. All the personnel that i interacted with were great. I especially appreciated the front desk attendant who gave me a complementary bottle of water when I told him that the maid had inadvertently discarded my empty bottle when I left out. All in all, this is a very nice hotel and i highly recommend it.

Decent breakfast options. $228 a night was kinda steep in my opinion. Needs better signage off the main road. Plenty of parking available.

The lobby is inviting and allows for small areas to sit down, chat and be distant from one another. A small business center with 2 terminals and a printer makes it easy if you need documents printed. Small coffee table supplied daily. Check in was very simple and seamless. Reservation popped up and room was ready to go. I will say the hallways seem just a little tight if you're walking with a bit of luggage; especially if another person is with you or is passing the oppositie direction. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and sitting space. Lots of desk/work space too. Bed was extremely comfortable with a soft top and firm underlayment. It provided sufficient support for my back and shoulder. The bed linens were very soft and comfortable also. Light but heavy enough to keep you comfortable. There were plenty of pillows per bed; both soft and firm style. T.V. was plenty big enough for the room. Great channel selection. Bathroom was a bit tight especially if someone was using the toilet. Shower was larger and spacious. Toiletries were in pump bottles on the wall. They didn't have small individual bottles to offer...but that's okay. Bathroom linens were the perfect blend of softness. Breakfast was decent given the circumstances and they are trying to accommodate all types of guests. The fitness center has a few cardio machines and few weights. Plenty to get a good workout. Overall, very pleased with the property and staff. A classic Holiday Inn experience.

Disappointed. 2025 I was Titanium with Marriott and Globalist with Hyatt. Perks with Hyatt overall are better. This year 24 stays with Marriott. After this trip, no more Marriott. Lifetime Gold now, only a couple years to go for Marriott lifetime Plat, not worth it. Being Titanium thought maybe I'd receive a food credit, gift bag, cookies, piece of chocolate, something, a note, literally NOTHING. No recognition. Not even verbal recognition of status. Got it. Made the decision tonight, stop pursuing Marriott Lifetime Plat, go for Hyatt Lifetime Globalist. Done. No more.

Upon sitting down they asked what we wanted. We asked for menus as spouse likes to pick from what is on tap and I was looking for a mocktail. Barkeep brought us menus. Right as I was about to pick food along with the drinks they told us the kitchen would be closed the whole night. Buried the lead a bit there. It was dinner time and we had spent past few hours driving. They rattled off a list of restaurants and I looked up menus and review on yelp. I feel like a sign or earlier heads up would have been appreciated after waiting 5 mins or so for service at an otherwise empty bar. Our room was 2 away from the elevator. I was hopeful with the plush carpet that most of the sound would be absorbed. It was fairly well quiets with some random bursts of activity. Bed is a bit springy. Requested more pillows before arrival they responded in the app and the pillows were there. Pillows were assorted levels of thickness which my spouse and I needed. I was able to make it work. Body wash is Korres and a nice scent. Main item of note: Pool on the website and app looks as though it is open year round. After an experience a few weeks ago I now call and check. This pool is open seasonably from May - October. I would like if their website and app page could relay that as other hotels are able to. I like the central and walkable location. We would absolutely return. The Spartanburg website by the tourism council has a ton of activities, events etc listed. The look and aesthetic of the rooms, hotel communal spaces and exterior are all pretty, clean and nicely kept. I did like that the hotel as a whole was exactly depicted and expected. I was told when I checked in that housekeeping would come every other day. I was pleasantly surprised when I came back after a long day of work that my bed was made and fresh towels were put out. Every day when I left out came back, I was greeted with a genuine "Hello!" Or "Have a great day!". The location is perfect. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and easy on/off access to the freeway. Gym is available 24/7 with your key card. Towels and a water cooler are in there, as well as free weights, treadmills, and a few ellipticals. Breakfast was the typical Fairfield Inn spread. It was clean and kept stocked. Only issue was a garbage truck that came by Thurs & Fri mornings I was there, at 4:30am. The breakfast was at par or above with the Fairfield Inn chain. It was well spread and the dining area offered plenty of seating. Hot oatmeal was great. Nice to have daily housekeeping service. The staff were very friendly. Knocking rating to a 4-star because of the 4:30am wake-up calls, but otherwise this hotel is indeed in line with the Marriott brand.
