Adam and his team including Kathy the Bartendar were so accommodating and ensured since it was my first time that I was taken care of. I would recommend coming here for drinks, appetizers and the restaurant is cool. The highlight are the grounds, amenities and the hotel itself. If you do come as for Adam as he will ensure to guide and help you!

Outstanding hotel, Phenomenal Staff! We enjoyed our time staying at Hotel Hartness. The rooms are beautiful, clean & spacious. The staff is friendly. We enjoyed the delicious food and cocktails at Patterson & The Captain. Can't wait to go back.

Ridiculously large shower and bath combo. No shelves or hooks.

Two and a half really. Make sure you read the hotel's directions to get to the property - our GPS directed us to a private road that was blocked and didn't give any alternative routes so we had to pull over to find the hotel website and follow its suggested route. It was easy enough after that. The grounds were meticulously groomed, very clean and reminded me of a French country home you might find in a vineyard in Napa, CA. My husband checked us in, and then we drove ever so briefly to the alternative entrance that was closest to the elevators. I was completely shocked and confused when my husband got out and started to schlepp our luggage toward the door. No staff to help? No carts offered? We reluctantly noticed that the heavy double doors had no automatic open. Fine. But where was the handicap button to activate the doors? I'm partially disabled, and sometimes use a wheelchair so I am very cognizant of what kind of access is available anywhere I go. The hallways were spotless and well lit. Upon entering our room, we were a bit disappointed. Lately, everyone in the hotel business seems to be redefining what the word " suite" or jr. suite" can and should mean. Our "holly suite" was nothing more than an oversized room with an extremely spacious bathroom. It was handsomely decorated but sparsely furnished. Oddly, much of the added square footage that came with this room category was left unused and under utilized. There was no sofa, no closet, no shelves in the shower, no hooks adjacent to the shower, and no storage or lined trash receptacle in the separate toilet area. It seemed unhygienic to have a garbage can without a bag. I asked my husband if he received any information about the hotel upon check-in....a map perhaps? Any info on pool use, walking trails, ice, spa, dining? Nope. I had to call the front desk to find out that ice service was not self serve but had to be requested. The original home was used mostly for small intimate public areas. The spa and restaurant were located in other buildings. The sleeping rooms were attached to the house with a hallway of floor to ceiling windows. All was handsomely decorated and exuded a nice atmosphere. The most glaring thing missing on the beautiful grounds, however, was shade - No pergolas, pavilions, umbrellas, gazebos, or even trees. The large pool area could have used some cabanas or other sun shielding tools. Greenville still gets hot in the Spring and Summer and not providing guests with protection from the elements limits the time people can actually enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The photos attached, show both the highs and lows. We noticed too, that the massive bathroom was not " square". Walls and tile were not aligned properly and it was glaringly obvious. Hard to say, if we would come back. The amazing accolades given by others about the hotel's service was not the experience we had. In fact, I think I only saw one staff person during our three night stay. We do give The Hartness management high praise for graciously not charging us for our fourth night. We had to depart early due to illness. Grateful for that gesture.

Incredible. Charming. Bikes for use. You'd never know it was so nearby a commercial area. Private. Beautiful. Pool fantastic. Workout room nice. Room gorgeous!! Food very good. (We ate in the bar area.) Didn't love the fact that they host a lot of parties and that makes this area get NUTS when it's time to eat. I think I'd give feedback that this place needs to find ways to prioritize people staying at their hotel over these events. Serving them is more important. Find a way to fix that at you'll get 5 stars from me.

Planned a staycation here for my husband's birthday and fell in love! Beautiful scenery, very quiet, and I loved the bikes and trails that they have available. We utilized the pool and the breakfast nook and was impressed. Will definitely be back!

    Table setting at Pattersons.

We stayed at the Hotel Hartness on a couples trip to the Masters. There is construction in the area, but we did not hear any loud noises from it. It appears to be an up and coming area. The grounds on the property were pristine with beautiful landscapes. Plenty of outdoor seating to relax. The hotel has a beautiful modern design. Our room was very clean ( nice shower) with an angled view of the pool ( 213) We arrived early and had a couple of drinks and appetizers at the bar (thanks Chris). Spa H is a short walk from the hotel and we had an amazing couples hot stone massage (thanks Hannah and Lawana ). The night before check out we enjoyed a great meal at Pattersons ( nice cocktails, terrific filet, and amazing key lime cheesecake). Good options for breakfast. I had the bagel and coffee. Sweet staff in the breakfast area and coffee was a good quality. Overall this was a wonderful experience and a very nice place for a relaxing couples get away.

We were there on a Saturday night and people were everywhere. But once we stepped into the lobby there was a lovely piano bar . This hotel has a calm, refined feel to it. The bellman met us at the door, took our bags upstairs and even walked around to show us where to park. The only downside for me was that our room was just a little bit elevated from the street so we could hear a lot of the Saturday night fun that was going on. If you would prefer not to hear the street sounds you may want to request a room on a higher floor.

The…read moreroom she gave me was nice, everything was functional, but the bathroom was poorly designed and the whole room in from the previous "generation" of hotel room, so an update is needed.. hopefully in the next couple of years. The property was very impressively decorated for Christmas!! I loved how the large, two story Christmas Tree was in the main lobby and extended to the mezzanine level and they decorated it so very nicely! I also noticed the garland inside and wreaths outside. The whole property was nicely kept up to shape as well, so regardless of seasonal décor, I'm sure it's a beautiful place any time of year! This property has a restaurant onsite, Spoon Bread is what it's called. They also have the Piano Lounge. The Piano Lounge has a bar, which is a nice (and clearly popular) place to hang out and meet prior to leaving the property for dinner. Also a nice place to gather for that after dinner night cap with co-workers. Sleep quality was decent. HVAC in the room was nice and quiet... the worst part of the room was the bathroom, which I hated because you can't open the door and use the shower, because the door opens into the tub. They need to replace the door with barn style or pocket doors, like other properties have. Only other issue was the valet. I tipped a dollar on one drop off one day and the valet gave it back. I've never had that happen before. So, a dollar isn't enough and you prefer nothing at all? Noted! Overall, the stay was nice, but next time I'm in town, I'll try the AC across the street - It's looked way more festive outside and it's worth a try.

The lobby sets the tone for what to expect -- there's so much to take in. From original artwork (including striking curated pieces) to unique jewelry available for purchase, every corner has something interesting to discover from inside and out. The evening piano by the fireplace was such a classy and relaxing touch. The library was fantastic -- I could have sat there reading all night. I also loved the rocking chairs outside, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the atmosphere. There's art thoughtfully placed in every nook and corner, which makes the entire property feel curated and special. My room was fantastic and spotless. As a coffee lover, having my own Nespresso cappuccino machine was a highlight. Complimentary in-room amenities were generous, and the steamer was incredibly convenient -- I was able to steam my jacket before a business event with ease. The staff was amazing, and I appreciated the evening turndown service that prepared the room for a restful night. I would absolutely come back and only wish I could have stayed longer. Cheers!

Our room was nice, we overlooked the Falls just slightly askew. No issues with our room our housekeeping at all, very comfortable. The hotel restaurant is fabulous, so much so, it was very difficult to get reservations! I did no think Greenville would need reservations for our getaway, and I was wrong. I also have never before in life needed reservations for breakfast. Not Sunday brunch, breakfast. We chose this hotel because we had seen the Christmas Market they hold promoted, and it was cute, but very small. The problems we had were because this property is SO popular, you could not easily get reservations, we were never able to enjoy a cocktail in the lobby around the huge hearth, and the fabulous outdoor bar with firepits and cozy seating we were never able to visit, either. It was too crowded, and I'll bet money those folks in the lobby and around the bar firepit were not necessarily guests there... and that's frustrating. We enjoyed our visit, and we'll likely go back, just not the weekend prior to Christmas, for sure.

Arriving, there's valet out front, but I wasn't sure where to drop the car off, as they were too busy chatting to greet me, so I parked and went to greet them. They were definitely friendly once I did this, but it wouldn't been nicer if they were paying attention to newly arriving customers. Then on my last night, I dropped the car back off after I returned from dinner and told the valet I needed to leave around 4AM the next morning. He said valet doesn't open until 6AM, so he would leave my car parked out front and leave the key at the desk. Of course I came down at 4AM and my car wasn't there. The front desk lady called someone who went and got the key and car, which was contrary to what the guy told me the night before. One more issue with valet - They always had way too many cars parked in the circle out front which totally clogged traffic and prevented driving through. I went to leave and had to back out of the drive into the road rather than drive around through their circle - this was pretty dangerous. Checking in was much worse... the young man who checked me in simply gave me a key and said very little. I had to come back to ask him if there was a lounge, free breakfast, water for the room, basically all the points he's supposed to review with me. He couldn't have been more dismissive. As for the room, it was nice. Plenty of charging ports and outlets. A new modern style, with European style toilets in the bathroom and plenty of lighting throughout the room. I definitely don't like rainfall shower systems, especially with that style of handle, where there are two and you don't know which does what. The TV worked well and even had all the newer streaming services, which was great. The HVAC system was quiet and effective. Next time I'm in town I'm going to probably stay at the Westin across the street.

We initially booked two nights, but we arrived in town late and decided to extend our stay by an extra night (there was some confusion with this and it cost me a little extra, but this was a Hilton corporate issue and no fault of the hotel itself). Valet is the only parking option and the fee is reasonable (I think $20/night) and they were always quick to have the car ready downstairs. When we checked in we were greeted by Scott and he was such a welcoming greeting committee after a long drive. He even ran upstairs and set up the provided pack and play while we gathered our bags.
