Would I come back here? We will be staying here the next time we visit our son.

There should have been some fresh selections, considering the cost of the rooms. The breakfast hostess was also very welcoming and helpful. Their employees really made our stay wonderful. However, I would caution you about their ACCESSIBLE rooms. They are NOT for those of us who are physically disabled. They would not probably not work for many "senior citizens" either. We booked an " accessible" room with two queen beds. The beds were impossibly high to climb into. I am pretty mobile and access was terrible. If you were in a wheelchair, it would have been impossible. The toilet seat was about 8 inches off the floor. My athletic travel companion struggled to use it because it was too low to get off of. Again, if you have limited physical strength or use a wheelchair, these rooms are NOT ACCESSIBLE. I think the Hampton Inn should be more honest in their advertisement of available rooms for the differently able.

Minimal traffic to get in and out of the hotel. The Bad: The breakfast. Day one offered biscuits and gravy. However, the gravy was cold. Day two offered biscuits and an empty gravy container among other empty breakfast items. I shudder to think what Day three has to offer. This is a classic "I got what I paid for" since I chose the least expensive Marriott hotel in the area. I was informed by staff that the hotel is scheduled for a remodel which makes me happy my stay is before the disaster. My one requirement for a hotel stay is that I enter my room from the inside which this place checked that box. Outside of that, I've definitely experienced better in Greenville County.

I'm paying to stay and I expect fresh towels and at least more TP at the minimum. Staff: Every person I encountered was professional and polite, not just to me, but witnessing other interactions as well. Grounds: no outdoor pool, indoor pool that has a heater-but currently not working and they do NOT make this known prior to booking. Outdoor patio with tables, lounge chairs, grill and cornhole boards. Specific smoking areas. Pets: pet friendly for a minimal fee and pet specific rooms. Good for a day or two but any longer and you'll want to explore off site to get some variety. There's a Waffle House across the street. Free EV charging available although later in my stay those spots were occupied by non EVs. Not the hotel's fault but can render this feature useless. Tesla chargers nearby though if needed. The highlight of my stay was the staff. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating especially Gyasi. He has a magnetic personality and really enjoys his interactions with guests and making sure their stay is pleasant is his top priority. The lobby really stood out, this location offers a full breakfast with hot food in the mornings and Gerri, one of the staff members treats the lobby and kitchen like you're visiting her house. She was really nice and very helpful with anything you need. Further amenities include a work station, meeting room and believe it or not, a gym with free weights and cardio machines. It bugs me that they painted over it instead of dealing with it correctly. The hotel was full (at least for King beds) so my husband sealed it off with plastic sheeting and tape so we wouldn't have to deal with switching rooms.) Our mold was "the devil you know." We didn't want to take a chance on unknowns. Besides the mold, the room overall was just okay. The TV was frustrating - a guide to channels would have been useful. The internet was slow at times. The bed was VERY FIRM and not really comfortable. The bedding was CLEAN. The bathroom was clean (besides the mold) but the tub had huge chips in it and the walls around it had indentations where shelves used to be. The toilet paper roll holder was loose so the roll kept falling off. There were plenty of towels and they were clean. There was a lack of information given at check-in or within the room. I didn't know if there was maid service or if I could get new towels, get the garbage dumped, etc., so I chased down a cleaner one morning with my full garbage bag and asked for a new bag. Only issue was a garbage truck that came by Thurs & Fri mornings I was there, at 4:30am. The breakfast was at par or above with the Fairfield Inn chain. It was well spread and the dining area offered plenty of seating. Hot oatmeal was great. Nice to have daily housekeeping service. The staff were very friendly. Knocking rating to a 4-star because of the 4:30am wake-up calls, but otherwise this hotel is indeed in line with the Marriott brand.
