First thing when you walk in you are blasted with fresh, and I mean, FRESH cut flowers and live plants. Really well presented and a very nice selection. What a way to start off... You then turn right and KABLAM the bakery.... Their bakery is not huge but is very tight... their "display case" is clean and dressed in what equals a tux with very respectable sweets... hold up... that's not all... look... a BIG cooler with all kinds of stuff to make your diabetes spike... ummmmm ummmmm NICE! The next thing that caught me was their produce... I'm an Apple guy... I'm pretty sure I was Jonny Apple Seed in a former life... and their apples here looked like any of them could have been fed to Snow White they are sooo gosh darn shinny (make a wish). Wait though... lookie lookie they have one of my favorites... Ambrosia apples (if you haven't had one... stop what you are doing right now and go get one... hey I'm not fooling here... do it now!!). Ummmmmm ummmmmm GOOD! The whole store is spotless... and exuding cleanliness. It is just sparkling from one end to the other. Ohhhhhh yeah... nice... disco ball sparkling! So as you might be able to tell I was already impressed and then I walked into their beer haven (drool forming now). What a large selection... coolers and shelves were all full of a great assortment of brews... but wait... what is that... Lordy.. a whole section of the holy Grail for grocery... liquor! Not just the cheap stuff either... bourbon, rum, whisky, schnapps, Tito's vodka... I mean the whole gambit! I almost decided to move in. As I stumbled in confusion... where was I? Toto I don't think we are in Kansas anymore! (We're off to see the wizard...) I rounded the corner and right into a "both sides of the isle" filled with wine! Not your normal half isle... not even the exceptional one full side... but a drop dead gorgeous full blown nothing but a complete selection of WINE... ohhh baby ohhh baby ohhhhhh! After I woke up from passing out in ecstasy I figured I couldn't take any more and just headed for the checkouts... wait what is this... 6 registers open and no line to be seen. I have now seen a unicorn. A grocery store that has more registers open then customers in line... mind completely BLOWN! Totally impressive... When I work there it was not only a grocery store, It was a pawn shop and a place you could charge and pay your bill when your Social security came in you pay the bills and then you have what was left over. We made them sign the receipts when they got things. It also had a gas station and a bait shop and next door was his trailer and he had a little building he rented out. Back then it was S&S Auto parts. Lot of memories there. I work for Jack Jones all the way till he died. His girls and I was close and I see them time to time. Now It is still going strong and I love stopping in there.
