Pickup also was smooth, no issues I have made two trips back to the store to have the frames adjusted. The first time i was totally ignored for over 20 minutes - even after attempting to flag staff down. This time i again waited in the counter line for ten minutes. After which i was seated in a service desk and again ignored. Now over thirty minutes for a simple adjustment and still no help to make the adjustment. They seem to have no concerns to prioritise an existing customer and instead focus on new customers. A shame.

I was a new patient to this practice yesterday. I have been wearing glasses for 36 years now…read more Never in all these years have I had the experience that I did at the Lazenby practice. I didn't have a wait which is always awesome when you are needing to return to work. Dr. Lazenby was very very educational and pleasant. The office staff, every single one of them were enjoyable, professional, helpful and a joy to work with. From my nurse Shannon who pleasantly walked me through the entire screening process to the front desk staff, Amber and Victoria who quickly and efficiently checked me in and out to Andrea who help me pick my glasses. Andrea is a gem!. So for the first time in all these 36 years I learned something that has NEVER been spoken to me in my process of choosing my new frames. Apparently, there are 2 digit numbers that tell you the size or width of the frames. This is huge!. When Victoria directed me to the frames she mentioned this to me and told me what she felt my range probably was. Mind blowing!. So Andrea comes along and gave me a truly honest opinion on my choices and spent over half an hour with me making sure I picked the right width and bridge size and an appropriate lens size!. She let me know when something would not fit me properly and if the pick just didn't look good on my face. I have NEVER enjoyed the selection process of my frames and it was frustrating in the previous selection process. In the past I was just directed to the women's frames. I would pick a pair, usually not sold on them but tired of trying to find something I liked (difficult too when your vision is impaired). Then the final measuring process took place and order. Then 10 days later pick up a pair of glasses that would not even stay on my face because they were too wide, too big. I always assumed you picked a frame and the measuring process was to have the framed made to fit. Not the case at all. I was having fun and Andrea was the icing on a fabulous cake!!!! HIghly highly recommend.

We have had excellent friendly care and prices that we could afford. I had an issue with my vision in 2007, got an appointment, not sure I would have gone right away but since I had the eyecare club I knew there would be no charge. Good thing, because Dr. Chronister saw I had a tear in my retina and he and his staff got on the phone to get me to a specialist. That proved to be slightly difficult since it was Christmas time. They did not stop until they got me an appt. because you see, if you don't fix a tear your retina can detach and thats as serious as it gets. I have told this story many many times until December 2012 with praise for this location and its staff. In December 2012, I once again had an issue with my vision that had started a couple weeks prior but was busy and put if off but made an appt. with Americas for Dec 29th Saturday. Once again, Dr. Chronister and his staff saved my eyesight. 1-I wouldn't have bothered during the Christmas season to go but they make it easy with convenient hours and the eyecare club, exams are free for 3 years. 2-I had a detached retina by the time I got there and again, Dr. Chronister and his staff did not stop for 3 hours calling and trying to get me in somewhere because there was no doubt I had to have surgery to repair or lose my eye. 3-They assured me every 15 min or so that it was going to be okay that they were working on getting me taken care of-and during this time they were seeing a heavy load of other patients but still took the time. they had to get me to a specialist/surgeon in Kansas City since there were no available doctors and/or equipment in the joplin area due to not having been replaced since the tornado. Anyway, I am sorry I didn't write this review sooner, have moved to Kansas City for a job, won't hesitate to go to Americas Best here but will probably drive back to Joplin since Dr. Brian Chronister and his staff there are awesome, which means they are professional, knowledgable, friendly, affordable. So give them another chance or visit for the first time and see for yourself. And a big thank you for everything to the Joplin staff.
