I am pleased to have been around long enough for eyewear to now be a personality extension and accessory additive! Globe Design & Vision is a wonderful, locally owned and operated shop that has understood the assignment! Hannah helped me find a wonderfully unique statement pair to add to my collection. Friendly, quirky, awesome. I'm here for all of it!

It's such a fun and welcoming place. You can spend hours browsing and trying on frames. They have so many options of brands from all over the world, thus the namesake. Nancy was helping me pull a few pairs and then Bob really just went above and beyond with the custom rim color on the lenses to match my frame. He had them set it in the middle more to help hide the thickness as I have a very high prescription. He took the extra time to adjust the nose pads so that my lashes would also not hit the lenses but also be comfortable over the nonexistent bridge of my nose. I can't imagine getting this type of service anywhere else. It took a little longer to get but worth the wait. The prices are going to be high, but that is going to be the case with a unique product and level of service. I wore my glasses during the day just because I loved them so much. I never do that unless I have itchy eyes with allergies or up late at night do I wear my glasses, so that's saying a lot about how I feel about these stunners. They are a little fun and whimsical but yet classic and feels like it just fits my personality. Now this pair of glasses I would be so sad if I lost! Get your prescription and get your glasses here.

I'm not sure how they get such high ratings for children. They definitely do not know how to treat…read morechildren's fears. The reception staff acts like your presence is an inconvenience. They dilated my 6yrs eyes and then left us in a room for 40 minutes giving her enough time to work herself in a frenzy of fear. Then they got impatient with her for her anxiety attack. By the time we left she was in full panic attack. Then we get to our appt for her glasses. The day of radio silence so we thought all was well.... wrong... apparently they tried to call me multiple times. They had my phone number wrong, buy didnt even try to call dad. They then sent an email a hour before our appt as we were on the road to the appt to inform us the glasses weren't in. They gave such attitude when we got in like why did I give them the wrong number... I didn't... they did that to themselves. Plus they also had dads number. They also had all day to send an email and not RIGHT before the appt. Definitely will be will looking for an alternative pediatric optometrist. Do not take your children here. We ended up getting recheck at the Grandville office and they were so kind and amazed at how bad the Holland office messed up my daughter's prescription.

I just had cataract surgery for both eyes. Being immunocompromised during a pandemic I was…read moreconcerned about masking and safety procedures. I called ahead of time to ask about these and was assured that staff would mask if requested. I have been back there at least 6 times and each time, had to remind a member of the staff to mask. Once, the response was, "Oh, now I have to go find a mask!" Dr. Tomaselli even once had to be reminded. I saw numerous patients masking and I know from experience, people are shy about asking someone to mask. It seemed as if I was the only one for whom they masked. I feel that if you are treating someone who is masking or at any rate, getting within inches of someone's face, it might be a good practice for all staff to mask. During my cataract procedure, a nurse named Mary Beth had a mask hanging off her nose, not attached in the back, so her mouth was virtually not covered the entire time. In the surgical center. Aside from the masking, there is the issue of impersonal treatment. Not once was I asked about myself or did the doctor spend more than five minutes with me. However, the wait was always at least an hour overall to get in and out of the offices. Not thrilled with the service whatsoever. Staff seemed overworked and unfriendly. The only conversation I heard was complaining about scheduling. I was very surprised that there was no online interaction with the office - for appointments, instructions or anything. Like any other medical facility in 2023! Nothing. I was given papers while sedated to explain procedures and had to call numerous times to make sure appointments were in the correct facility. Overall, not a very professional or satisfactory experience.

In a time when every service and industry is becoming more digital and impersonal, it is a delight to be served by warmth and good humor. I've experienced nothing but kind, professional interactions with all the folks employed here. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have been under Dr. Cassar's care for over a year. Our initial sessions were fine,…read morebut when I went back for another yearly eye check up, things seemed different. An assistant asked if there were any changes in my medications. I told her of a new prescription my primary care physician had given 8 months before. When Dr. Cassar came into the room, he basically lambasted me for nearly 5 minutes, telling me that I was not taking care of myself, and that he was my doctor, and he had a responsibility to tell me I was going to lose my eyesight. But then, after he did his own scans of my eyes, he told me they were nearly perfectly healthy, and that there was nothing to worry about at all. But no apologies for his earlier tirade. He said I needed a new eyeglass prescription, so I put down over $1000 to get the glasses made. This morning I was called by someone from the office and told that my glasses were ready, and I could pick them up any time. I said that I would be there soon. I drove out to the Complete Eye Health office, only to find the door locked. All the people who worked there, including Dr. Cassar, were sitting right there in the waiting area. I stood at the door for a moment, wondering what to do. Then Dr. Cassar's wife came to the door and unlocked it. But she would not let me in, and she did not ask why I was there. She said that they were having an office meeting, and that I should come back in an hour and 10 minutes or so. Then she pulled the door shut and locked it. I will go back sometime to get my glasses (after all, I have paid over a thousand dollars for them!). But not today. And we are likely to find another optometrist who treats us as if we are actually worth being part of the practice.

This was my first time going to Rx optical. The optometrist I saw was great, explained a lot…read more However, I don't think I'll be going back bc of the up front service. The staff first gives you the cost of lens and frames with everything on it, which a part of it I think was dubious & not well explained, like how far to the sides I wanted to see with my lens which differed in price??? Never heard of that before but the total bill would have come to $400, which I said no, and she narrowed my side sight down which brought the price down to $200. I guess if I want to see that far to the side, I'll turn my head. After I got home I saw there was a charge for $30 for a protection plan, which I was not asked about or was it even explained to me. When I went back for my glasses I asked if there was something to show what that plan was. She showed it to me in their flip up book. I asked if there was a handout I could take home. She said she could copy the page for me. When i tried on my glasses they were crooked so the service person got them straightened for me. Thought they fit OK but when I got home I realized the part that goes around the ear was sticking out too much & I could pull my glasses off with out any resistance. I haven't been to the optometrist in 3 yrs. but i then remembered that places i had been before always adjusted the stems around the ear before i left. Obvious they come from the factory with the ear part higher because they need to be adjusted around the individual ears, however that was never done. i did go back the same day and & asked if there was someone there who was trained in adjusting glasses bc that should have been done before I left the place, so it was then done. I don't know if they are not trained that well or they are lazy. This is a chain, I don't think it is as reputable as a stand alone optometrist. I'm sure it's a starting point for a lot of optometrist, & I don't know what the chances are that the one I saw will be there next year. I don't plan on going back, it is not that reputable in my eyes
