Sarah was very kind and patient with me as I tend to be a bit indecisive when picking out frames. She gave me her opinion and even helped me find the frame I really wanted in a size that I felt more comfortable with. I've been "seeing" Dr. Dunlap for over six years, and I appreciate her knowledge and accuracy in diagnosis and prescriptions. I would give 5 stars, except there seems to be a revolving door of the doctor assistants. While I understand and appreciate the need for staff development, there are innate skills required for a medical staff assistant to possess, such as interpersonal skills, a gentle and confident touch, and knowledge and accuracy on the reason for visits. If the job candidate does not have the innate skills, then find someone else. I get nervous enough going to any doctor. Starting my visit with a nervous, unqualified doctor's assistant is not the way to a good overall experience at the eye doctor.

(Locating the actual store front was a little difficult but if you're by Dillards and see Spencer's, you're practically there.) I started out by visiting RCP Eyecare immediately next to Visionworks and once I got my new prescription, I walked next door to get my glasses. The staff checked my temperature before I was allowed to look around the store. Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrance as well. The staff member that helped me even clued me on which pairs were the "clearance/discount" glasses. I was given a tray where I put every pair of glasses I tried on so that they could be sanitized before being put back up. I was torn between two pairs of glasses, so the store associate gave me their honest opinion and I was sold. The store associate took extra time explaining all of my options available and made sure to find the best possible financial deal with my insurance so I paid the least out of pocket. Still, one of the employees opened the door & asked what I needed. She immediately invited us in & took my glasses to the back room. Within 10 minutes I had my glasses. When I asked the charge. "None!" she said, "Merry Christmas!" I was too astounded to even ask her name. I sure hope they take Aetna insurance because that one act earned my thanks, respect & customers for life! That's inconvenient for many people who work for a living. I didn't discover that until my husband went to pick up his glasses on a Saturday, and they were closed. They are open the 3rd Saturday of the month. I was also supposed to get a diabetic eye exam at the time of my appointment, but was told I needed to schedule that for a later date. I didn't argue about it, but went ahead and scheduled it. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and the place was nice. They had a pretty small selection of frames, but we each found one we liked.
