The pan is an inexpensive unit, and very handy for preparing small-size, 'griddle-type' meals. It is sized perfectly for my single-person breakfast and brunch (and at times, dinner) preparations. And so far, that has included - fried eggs, pancakes, French toast, toasted cheese sandwiches, and the like. Solidly-constructed, the pan has a nice heavy base for its size, the tough 'Rock.Tec' coating on its cooking surface, and it heats evenly. For me, the multi pan has filled a vacant niche in the kitchen rather nicely. It has done what it can do very well, and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it. read more

I ordered an item online from Walmart. They required my email address to do so. After completing the order, I started getting advertising emails. I immediately unsubscribed. The notice Walmart gives is that it can take up to 24 hours to become unsubscribed. This feels like a ploy to enable Walmart to continue to send advertisements because other companies do this instantly. Even though I unsubscribed from most of their emails, I have continued to receive advertisements 8 days later. A couple of days ago, I sent a message to the chat tool to get me unsubscribed - it was obviously a robot so I said to send the message to a human. That did not work. Today I phoned a service number. The lady on the phone was very nice and was able to set up an "issue" to be resolved. In total by this eighth day since making the online purchase, I received about 15 advertising emails from Walmart. I will not shop online with Walmart again. read more

The employee at the self check-out area told us to go to the self check-out that was dirty. We went back to the queue after we saw that it was dirty. We let the people behind us to go ahead. Then a woman came to us from outside the self check-out area and pointed at the folder that she had left behind in our bagging area. When I tried to give the folder to her, the employee came beside me and said, "I'll get that for you." Then the employee was gossiping behind our back with another employee. They glared at us and complained that we should have given the woman the folder. They were blaming us for making them work while it was actually the employee who stopped me from helping the woman. The staff tried to make us look bad and feel bad while it was their fault (the staff should have cleaned the self check-out station and picked up anything that was in the bagging area before letting the customers to go there). One of the first Walmarts that the Lower Mainland received. I remember when it first opened, this place was a true zoo. It still is the busiest place for Lougheed Mall, as the parking lot going into this place is always full, and revolving. The one thing I give props to is that this store has stock more than the other Walmarts, as it seems like the hoarders are located somewhere else, or this one just carries more stock when a big sale is going on. Sure this place has too entrances, one to the parking lot, and one toward the mall, so when a sale is going on, the product you may be looking for may be at the other entrance in a big pile. The one thing that really fascinates me, is looking at the ceiling here. If your at either end, just look at the layers and layers of halogen strips here, it seems to go on forever! read more

At first glance you may be led to think there's a wonderful selection of goods that are reasonably priced at this chain store. However, upon closer look and when you actually need something specific (in my case it was decent quality and priced packing tape), you realize Walmart sells nothing but crap. They also replaced many tills with numerous self-checkout counters where it seems like it takes twice as long to get through than having a trained cashier serve customers. I'm giving it two stars because this is one of the few places in the city that carries a specific product I need and the little number of staff left are somewhat polite enough to deal with. read more

Person kept saying they hello and couldn't hear me during conversation. I don't normally have this issue with my phone. I called to ask for a copy of my receipt for insurance purposes. They stated they can't email that which I really doubt they can't, they have my email on file. They offered to fax it but I don't have a fax and asked said I could go into in person. I explained I have MECFS and am unable to go in person. Then the person just kept saying hello until became clear I was out of luck. Not recommended for clients who have any type of mobility issues, or post exertion malaise. read more

This Walmart location is alright. If you're in local and need to go to a Walmart it's fine. Ive found it always to be busy, which isn't too surprising being that it's a Walmart, but it also seems to be seriously understaffed. Today I went in to pick up some groceries and there were 4 regular checkout open, each lined with about 8 customers, and 3 of the express checkouts open, and probably about 13 people standing in the express line. The prices at Walmart are always quite reasonable, which is why many people shop there. The quality of the products at Walmart, however can very. Clothes for example, are really cheaply made and will fall apart easily. Mostly I avoid clothes here, but I've been able to get a few good cheap shirts from here for the gym. The beauty section is pretty decent here and has standard drugstore type brand names. I often buy my makeup here because they carry several brands I like. The electronics section in this Walmart seems quite small. If you're looking for DVDs or CDs you can check here, but there's a good chance you might have to go to Best Buy or FutureShop to get what you need. I know Walmart has some electronics, tvs, cell phones, etc but the selection isn't great. I did buy my cheap pay-as-you-go cell from here, but if you're looking for a smartphone probably best to go somewhere else. Most of the other sections in Walmart I don't ever go to. Sometimes I find myself browsing around the houseware section, but there isn't a lot of selection here. Walmart is busy, but cheap. If you're in the area and need a Walmart then its fine. read more

If I could give Walmart online zero stars I would. Ordered 2 items from them based on a good delivery estimate. As soon as I paid the delivery went to 5-6 weeks. The only time Walmart responded to my complaints was after I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint regarding the lack of customer service and all they did was direct the complaint back to the third party seller Stellar who was being useless. Walmart responded to my request for return assistance by saying they would not help and that I could ONLY deal with the third party seller. Walmart refuses to help me in any way on my return. What competitive advantages does Wal-Mart have? 1. It's open late (11pm) 2. Ummm....ugly in-house brand stuff that nobody wants is cheap 3. Ummm....it's another way to get to the mall Their pricing really isn't what you would expect from a company that made it's name from selling inexpensive goods. In-house and barely known branded stuff tends to be cheap. Established brands tend to be not cheap at all and in many cases are at full MSRP or even higher (since MSRP is denoted in US dollars and since we're a little behind, Wal-Mart takes the opportunity to tack on 10-20% more) This store is poorly maintained. Product strewn about and not nearly enough staff to take care of the customers. The grocery section is pretty scary. About the only produce I'd ever buy here is potatoes because they have a longer shelf life. The register lineups tend to be hit and miss. Sometimes you get through quickly, sometimes it's agonizingly slow and because the queue is so long for the "express line", they have way more real estate with which to show you impulse purchase items. You'd be surprised at how much more business they get just because they're open until 11. It gets people accustomed to going there even when it's not late. Whenever possible, you should shop elsewhere. read more

It's Walmart, it's big and imposing and this one is not so bad to navigate. The prices are cheap, and the people are all surly, but you can get in and out in 20 minutes, even during holiday season. They also have an impressive selection, I didn't know there were various classes of freezer bag of freezer-proof take-out container-like products until I went there. The checkout was a little strange but decent enough and fairly intelligent - wearing latex gloves cuts down on the risk of infection. Ingenious, though it's about as attractive as wearing a face mask on a flight. Then again, Walmart is not the best date locale so who cares? read more

I can't believe that they removed all the cashers from the mall side and only have few on the parking lot side. I must say there are few people that I can say are great workers at Walmart... only a few... I went to the service desk to exchange a pair of shoes for my niece. The shoes were unworn, tag still on and I had the receipt, all I had asked was for a size exchange. I was told no, this tall vulture-like woman, refused my return! I paid cash and she then tells me that with my receipt, I have to have my return on a gift card. What? Does she even know what she's doing? I have my receipt!?! Like really... I'm one of those people who loves Wal-Mart. Everything is dirt cheap, and with the spiffy new "savings budget" I have drawn up I have little room for fun miscellanious purchases. However, last night I needed a few random items. Very random. London Drugs was closed, but that's cool, there's a Walmart around the corner.... I needed makeup sponges. None were stocked. I wanted those shoe inserts for old ladies (like me) because some of my shoes are actually half a size too big (chubby feet), they were also out of stock. I needed some curlers (old lady as I said), nope none of the old lady spongey ones. I did get my bobby pins (so cheap), some hair combs (so cheap), and some Tide to Go (oooh they make minis! How convenient). Then I stood in line for 20 minutes while the cashier slowly rang all through leaving each price check for last and then everyone just stood there staring at eachother while said price was said checked. With Wal-Mart now becoming a fully functional grocery store, this store has become more and more unappealing. If you thought finding things in this store was hard before, its even worse now. Finding an employee, let alone what you're actually looking for is an almost impossible task. And when you're actually lucky enough to find someone who works there, I can ensure that you won't be lucky enough to find someone who knows that they're talking about. Grrrrrr.....I have such mixed feelings about Walmart in general. I love that stuff is cheap. However, the veg aren't any cheaper than Kin's down the way from the Walmart. But HOLY! Wow is the service atrocious! I know that going in, It's going to take me another 20+ minutes to get through the line, and that's if I don't get charged for completely different items. It is a Walmart so you get what you expect ........good prices. Now the fresh product for groceries aren't great at all....poor selection and we won't even talk about the organic section. The meat and fish selection was better but nearly all frozen ......not sure about the good healthy meat in that. This Wal-Mart always seems dirty and disorganized. It also seems to be out of a lot of items or they just don't carry much. I have been here a number of times and it never seems to have what I need. The bane of my existence this Walmart is. Not a supercentre. That just docks ya points right there. Understaffed. The employees here are nowhere to be found when you need them, and if you do manage to catch one, you'll be lucky if they know anything about anything or the location of anything that you're looking for in the store. I understand if you don't know where everything is, Walmart is big. But please tell me so, don't walk me around the entire store, I can do that myself. Lines at the checkout are consistently out of control, to the point where I'm thinking, "Do I really need this stuff?" This store is dirty and disorganized. Regardless of whether I come in through the outside or mall entrance, there are NEVER hand baskets available, I always have to go and look for one. The only thing that keeps me coming to Walmart is my featherweight wallet and passion for cheap things, and the fact that the Poco supercentre is so incredibly difficult to get to. read more

Walmart is the worst store in the world for customer service. They have now changed the front of the store to a dozen selfcheckouts and as usual today had only one cashier with a long line up at register 15 - the farthest from the exit. I am disabled and ill and cannot walk to the absolute farthest cashier and wait in a long line up and also cannot bag my own groceries, nor should I be forced to. I complained to the manager and the customer behind me complained as well, and she just laughed. I said I'm terminally ill and she literally laughed and walked away. I phoned customer service which all online and service calls go to - guess it - not Canada - the Philippines, which means this company doesn't even employ Canadians. The store and every one of them has multiple minigroups of immigrants, which is great, but they all huddle together in their departments speaking their own language. When I've asked before why they don't have an English-only policy, the manager said they do, but when I walked up to her to explain I couldn't find anyone who spoke English in an English-only workplace, she was actually speaking Farsi to another Iranian cashier. I told them today they may have saved a couple bucks by having only one cashier on and everyone bag their own groceries, but I used to spend over 500 a month in this store and I, my family, every customer I see there says they will never be back. There are too many better businesses that will gladly take our money and not hire call centre agents outside of Canada. Also the facial recognition software on the selfcheckouts that they now force you to go through is against my right to privacy. And the McDonald's inside is the dirtiest smelliest ever. Smaller Walmart store with messy, cluttered aisles and surly staff. Not all staff are surly or indifferent but most are. With this said I tend to keep my visits short and if I can't find what I'm looking for I go elsewhere. They are not the only retailer in the area!!! read more

I don't know why this walmart sucks so bad. They have a lot of products that are missing price tags/sale price tags. Today I went to buy a blender that was in their flyer and the lady at the till refused to give me the sale price. She told me to go to customer service and get a raincheck even though the blender was exactly as pictured in the flyer. Even though there were several blenders on sale in the flyer, NONE of the blenders in the blender section had any sale prices. It's like they don't want you to know what is on sale...? Not the nicest looking, newest Walmart - but it's okay. You don't go to a place like Walmart for the shopping experience but it's convenient when I'm in the area and sometimes the McD's inside comes in handy when the kids are hungry! :) I usually purchase pharmacy/personal care items from Superstore or Costco out of habit - but I imagine prices are pretty comparable. I don't usually buy any clothes or anything - unless they are no frills essentials like socks and underwear but some of the food/candy items, toys, basic workout stuff, storage stuff, clearance DVDs are often a good buy. Occasionally, I can pick up a relatively "new" (e.g., Australia - Hugh Jackman/Nicole Kidman) $5 DVD and it's cheaper than renting - on top of that, you don't have to worry about returning it on time. I've found great deals on blu-ray discs as well $7.50 for titles like Crash, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Sometimes you can accidentally find some great products for a great price. Yesterday, I was there with my daughter looking for a skating helmet... didn't find one as they seemed very low on stock... however, on the way out I saw a cool glass electric kettle (ours died over the Christmas holidays). I thought it was reasonably priced for $35 so I bought it. When I got home, I searched online for reviews... I was happy to discover that it sells for more than 2x the price everywhere else (even on eBay!). Woo hoo! :) read more

Very busy here most times that ive visited . Even more so when there are good prices featured. Sometimes they run out of stock & yes store is sometimes messy but you cant blame it entirely on the staff. I was here on a busy Saturday & some unruly customer was tearing away at a box to look at its contents. I was talking to a guy at work & he said he d rather go to the Queenborough store because certain people are prone to doing that at the LH store. Id say bad behavior is bad behavior. Ive had confrontations at the QB walmart as well w unruly customers but blame it on the individual & not the store. Sometimes when im not in a fighting mood I just overlook nonsense. Staff cant be responsible for unruly customers. Oh im just adding to review as I was there Sat 3/15/14 .Maxwell house coffee on sale $2.97 reg $6.47 most places. I d expected empty shelves but to my surprise they had 2 skids. One upon entry & one in center aisle & no limit!. For that I give it max stars. :). read more

They refused to take my Canadian $3 World's Best Cat Litter because it didn't have "the website address" on the coupon and because it was "photocopied" when in fact it was downloaded from the website then printed. I even showed the customer service manager how I got the coupon on the website and downloaded it in front of her and then she still refused. Since then I have contacted Walmart Canada as it is the principle whether it is a 50 cent coupon or $10 coupon, the cashiers need to know how to redeem these coupons. I would say many of the employees are incompetent and that they need more training. read more

What a hateful corporation... such disorganization.... Got here in the morning and the mall entrance doors were bolted closed and yet your parking lot doors were open. Stockers saw me wave to get their attention and ignored me. I found what I had to get after an " associate " told me she was just a shelf stocker and couldn't offer customer assistance. WTH ? Really ¿ Went to pay for my stuff at the mall exit check outs ... NONE were open and I was told I should go to the parking lot exit checkouts... which is a block's walk away one way ... WHY ??? Upon checking my bill afterwards my total savings vs somewhere I'm used to shopping was ... 16 cents for 3 items but I lost out on potential air miles on the purchases by going with Walmart plus the added time and expense of travel. In otherwords, I'm done with you Walmart. And FYI for all of you out there their pricing is NOT more competitive with the competition. I price checked a mock grocery list and you'll take a bath if you do all your shopping at a Walmart. Our parents were right to take a "marketing" approach to shopping and not blowing one's budget at one retailer. read more
