I've been ordering groceries for 2 years now. It was good in the beginning and has gone downhill. Many times there were missing items. I also received expired goods. And today I received 3 lemons which I ordered that were all bad. Last month I ordered some salad kits that were dated 10/19. I did not open them and when I received them on 10/15 they were already brown. The kicker for me was a couple of months ago I tried to order chicken, cream cheese etc. Whether it was a name brand or the Walmart brand everything was out of stock. I tried to place the order the next day and what a miracle everything was available. However, the prices went up. For example the chicken went up $2. I used to shop there because they were cheaper but not anymore. When my membership is over 11/21 I will not be renewing it. read more

Decided to just take a ride to York, PA for a day trip to Walmart. This is a pretty huge Walmart. I have to say this place was clean and well organized. You saw many workers stocking shelves. Although, some of the workers could not speak English, everyone was friendly. There were no empty shelves at all. No one was standing around just doing nothing. This is not for the store itself. I bought a Walmart money card for my grandson to take with him this summer and have spending money. Well they charge you a dollar to activate the card. Then you have to register it. Then that same day they will take the monthly service fee off for themselves. They want you to have direct deposit then you wouldn't have to pay the fee. I personally think this company got rid of most of its employees and make us do the work to keep more money then they take money that is technically yours to put more in their pockets. If i were you I'd stop shopping at that store. Only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the product selection. Otherwise, they only deserve 1 star. I've experienced poor or slow service more times than I can count. Super long delays in grocery pick up, people not picking up the phone, and long slow lines at customer service. This place is a textbook example of a dying business. If this was an independent privately owned store, it would have gone out of business. Seriously I don't know how the store manager still has a job here. This store sucks. read more

We are from out of town. Stopped here to get some over the counter meds for my mom before we headed home. Didn't get them. Why? Because the lines were ridiculous. Only 3 registers open and the rest were self check out. Had a manager standing there swinging her phone, another leaning on the door to the ice cooler, and another just standing there with her hands on her hips looking bored. OK, crowded, and with COVID going on doing the best they can.

I was at Walmart over 2-1/2 hours to get a flat tire plugged on June 21. Granted they did tell me it would be 1-1/2 hour wait, but they also said they would call me when it was done. They never called me. I finally went to the service desk and saw my keys sitting there...they had been sitting for at least 20 minutes. Then the computer terminal was locked so he couldn't check me out! I went all the way to the front of the store to check out and had to come all the way back to the service department before I could get my keys. Then I get my car and they had put the spare back on top of the rear speakers and didn't secure it. I asked them to come out and put the spare away properly. I was very disappointed with the entire experience. read more

If you need a handicap electric cart go else ware. They now have 4 carts in need of repair so the may only have 4 working. I waited over 1 hour to get a cart. This place is great for not only shopping for ham, underwear, and bike pumps, but also for people watching! Weekends can be great to witness the whose who of the West York neighborhoods. If someone isn't screaming at their kid in the aisle, opening up boxes of frozen food, having gossip sessions blocking the walkways, or screaming at a cashier, then you're probably in Hanover at the better WalMart. Well I'm only two weeks into my relocation to York, PA., from the DC Metro area. I needed some things for my new place (including groceries) so what better place to start with getting a feel for my new town but the local WalMart. First let me say...the WalMart and it's products are pretty good. Comparable to the one's I've utilized back in DC. Can't speak so highly of the service experience though. One of the sales reps in the Electronics Department apparently had a run-in with a customer and decided telling me about it was a good way to break the ice while checking me out. I spent 10 mins listening to this guy talk about what the customer said to him, N-Word, N-Word, N-Word...and how his friends all call blacks the N-Word and how he doesn't tolerate it...etc. I've never heard a person utter the N-Word so many times in a string of sentences in such a short amount of time. I was uncomfortable and embarrassed for him. I honestly don't think he knew any better. Going to WalMart shouldn't be an experience in racial dichotomy. I hope my future experiences with the people of York are a bit more pleasant. read more

Worst Walmart ever. And that's saying something. They have about one third of the employees they need, the manager needs to be fired. They have replaced most of the cashiers with self-checkouts, so if you have a large cart, expect to wait half an hour. And the auto center??? Disaster!! Maybe one tire guy; it's appt only for rotations because they are so backed up. Our free rotation package is worthless because we live far away, but came here for cheaper tires and lifetime rotations. We will never buy tires from Walmart again with this kind of service. Went to Walmart to have my vehicle serviced for an oil change 2 wks ago & before they could do the oil change, the technician lost my car key. Needless to say my boyfriend & I were with out a vehicle for 5 days due to Walmart losing the vehicle key, couldn't make another key, had to tow the vehicle to Nissan to have a key cut, Nissan couldn't do it until 3 business days later. The whole ordeal was a nightmare & Walmart (Corparate) still to this day hasn't contacted us for reimbursement, apology, nothing!
