We came here on our Wisconsin Dells trip this summer and it was a large Walmart location and had a decent amount of Wisconsin Dells merch for sale which was nice, though more wouldn't be a bad thing for us tourists. There was ample parking and it was reasonably easy to find via GPS. We were able to find a luggage scale here among the other things we were seeking. read more

First time coming here, wanted a place to check out since I was in the area and a lot of the places were closed but Walmart was open until 11:00 p.m. so I figured let's just stop here. Parking was a little bit of a challenge getting here but the whole parking lot is full of litter and it was pretty appalling. It felt like I was at a Walmart in the Miami area Even though the Walmart is mainly full of tourists. Nobody knows how to push a card around it seems people crash into other people it seems and it don't even look both ways if they can't push a cart I don't know how they are able to drive their own cars. Isles are fairly stocked and decently organized, staff here isn't too bad either as we were checking out there was the guy at the end at checks your receipt to make sure everything's in the bag and the guy actually caught a family trying to sneak stuff into their bag. read more

I ordered a paper shredder to be delivered to my mail service I provided delivery instructions as shown on the website ordering page. My directions stated to deliver Mon-Fri 8-5 and Sat 9-12. I received a call from the delivery driver at 808 pm and left me a voice mail that delivery could not be made and I would receive a refund. What's the purpose of providing delivery if no one follows the directions written for the order. This happens frequently. I am a Walmart + member and here is a service I'm not getting. I'm technically working as I drive my new RV van back home and this Walmart appeared on the horizon as I was coming up to a meeting. Parking lot! After the conference call that I did from the van, I popped into the Walmart for a bathroom break (it was okay, not great) and then through the grocery side of the store for something to have for lunch. The deli area was well stocked and I found what I was looking for. Wisconsin liquor law is strange to me, from North Carolina. It was odd to see an aisle of spirits for sale in a supermarket. This was just a quick stop for me. The store was clean , the bathroom was clean. The racks of clothing were well organized. It's a Walmart it did it's main job. Found some clothing on clearance. A lot of lanes were open including self checkout and cashiers, which were nice to see. read more

We're visiting the Wisconsin Dells area, and needed to replenish some basic groceries for cooking in our rental condo, some trail mix and the like for hiking, and some health and beauty items (vitamins, deodorant, etc.). We dropped in on a Monday around 5 pm in May, 2023. The store is huge, and signage is good to help you to find what you're looking for. Nonetheless, we found ourselves zig-zagging across the store because we weren't familiar with its layout. The good news, though, is that we found everything that we intended to buy. We were particularly impressed with the fruits and vegetables section. The quality of items was very good, as were many of the prices. An English cucumber for 98 cents; baby carrots, $1.24. These are cheaper than back home though I don't know whether grocery inflation is abating at home as well. Check-out was also relatively easy. There were only two people in front of us, and both only had small orders. Our check-out cashier Henry was accurate, efficient, and friendly. What else could you ask for? read more

This Wal Mart is pretty much the only food store around and it shows! The store looks like it was still in the throws of Covid shortage with few staff and empty shelves. We only ran into one floor employee who rolled her eyes when we asked where the grills were. We aren't locals. This isn't particular to this local but all Walmarts. It was very hectic inside but there were a lot of registers open which I was surprised by. The summer goods were wiped out but this is a go to for water park supplies so I was a bit put off. We bought a small grill for our campsite and some groceries for our two day stay. They did have alcoholic beverages here too. Except for the large influx of people, it was good. That was the worst Walmart experience I have ever had. Upon first walking in, they have automatic guest counters... so you'd think they would cut it off at some point. As soon as we got into the building, there were lines all the way down the aisles in EVERY direction! Only five lanes open, which I understand that everywhere is short staffed right now, but then something needs to be regulated to keep the chaos down. Our line took 20 minutes to move even ONE person, luckily we made friends with the ladies ahead of us in line to make time appear to go faster. It's also Memorial Day weekend, so extra stocking prep could've been done. There were empty shelves, product, and boxes EVERYWHERE. Absolute chaos. I cannot imagine this being my regular Walmart. Like Illinois and Minnesota, Wisconsin's neighbors who both have indoor public space mask mandates, Walmart recently passed a mask mandate for their stores to help combat the spread of Coronavirus. So we chose to pop in. This Walmart had a greeter check for masks on the way in, which was great, but from what I saw many customers (and even a few employees) simply took off their masks afterwards. Walking around the store my estimation is maybe 60% of the customers were wearing masks, but half of those left their noses uncovered. The other 40% were not wearing one at all. Not much effort to socially disance either by most folks even though there was plenty of room for it. Wisconsin is having a huge spike in Coronavirus cases right now so I simply can't recommend this store while folks there have such little regard for the lives of others. read more

We came to return some stuff from our weekend trip to Dells that we had left over. Since I'm a complete airhead I put my keys in my trunk as I was getting the groceries and shut the trunk only to realize a second later my keys are not in my pocket. The customer service rep there allowed me to use their phone since mine was in my car. AAA was going to take over an hour and I was anxious to get home and rest up for work in the morning. Someone in the line was a city employee and suggested to call the police department as they do unlocks. He made the call himself and 8 min later my car was unlocked, what a save. Thanks to customer service and the awesome police rep I was home on time to get up for work the next day...looking back maybe that wasn't such a good thing! Meh. I hate Walmart... But as far as Walmart goes - this one was fine. It's one of their Supercenters, so it's a big larger and has both the grocery side as well as the normal household supplies. 10/10 would not recommend shopping here or using their service center. I was rudely told my car key was lost after having it towed to the service center. "Coach Jackie" as she so called herself refused to answer my questions and refused to allow me to speak to a manager. She also cursed and said "like i give a fuck about your issue" while giving the phone back mid sentence to the tow truck driver. He mentioned being extremely disappointed that he's waited 1.5 hours in his day awaiting a 'decent service rep' that could help him out. While driving to Minneapolis we hit a huge storm that forced us to take some time off the road. We ended up pulling off at the exit that houses Walmart and decided to go in and walk around rather than wait out the storm in the car. First impression: this Walmart is huge! It was in pretty good order (clean, well-stocked) at dinner time on a Friday. As you might expect in the Dells, the first thing you see when you walk in the doors is a display of swimwear. They've got plenty of things you could need while camping or on vacation, plus a large grocery area complete with a deli for hot food on the go. People-wise, this Walmart is super hectic due to the massive influx of tourists. I'm sure some of the people were locals, but a majority seemed to be in the throes of vacationing: a dad trying to find new shoes for a barefoot kid, lots of people in swimwear & coverups, families picking up pre-made food. Checkout lanes were a little crazy, but we were able to head straight up to a self-checkout. This location is open 24 hours a day, something I'll keep in mind for my next Dells stay. read more

This walmart has the worst service I have ever seen! I went with my parents to pick up a new computer since theirs had crashed and couldn't be recovered. My parents found on they wanted, and I went to find an employee. Miracle of miracles, I found one behind the desk in electronics immediately. The only problem? He was helping another customer with a cell phone issue. He was on the phone with the cell phone company, so I waited until they put him on hold asked if we could get assistance with computers. He told me "I am going to be another 40 minutes to an hour with this but my department manager will be able to help you." I did several circles around the department when I finally found her, she was assisting another customer with computer components so again I waited. After assisting those customers I asked for help with the computers again. She told me "you are going to have to wait for the associate out here to do it, because I am working on online orders. If I don't get these done I no longer have a job." so I went back to my parents and we waited...and waited...and waited. FINALLY he was done with the cell phone issue. Then the customer who had the issue with the phone needed help with 2 televisions. So we had to wait until he helped her with the two televisions. After he finished helping her the department manager called her over to the photo department to help her find a serial number on a television (shouldn't the department manager know where that is?). As he was walking away I grabbed him and asked again for help with computers. He huffed and stated "I was just going to go on break." he was very nice to us though and helped us get what we needed. Overall the time that we were in the computer aisle waiting for assistance? 1 hour and 15 minutes. I am not putting the blame on the staff, I am pointing the blame at management and the company as a whole. This store needs a lot more help, and on a busy weekend electronics needs to have more than 2 people working in electronics. read more

Typical Walmart. Packed with very little people working the register. My beef comes in with their idiotic rule. My wife and I went to go pick up some items including some beer. When we got to the register, they asked to see both of ID's. I had one, but my 32-year old wife did not bring her purse. We were then told we couldn't buy any liquor since all parties had to be 21+ and have their ID's. I then asked the question: "So for future reference, if I'm with my 15 year old, who doesn't have an ID and can't drink, can I buy beer." With the response being, "Of course you can. Parents can buy alcohol as long as they have an 21+ ID." Me: "Ok, well this is my 15 year old daughter then." WM: "Too late, you already told us she was your 32-year old wife." Point being: I understand carding anyone under 40 and I understand the rule stating that in order to buy alcohol everyone must have an ID. I don't understand the rule of: "All parties must have an ID to buy alcohol if it is assumed they are of drinking age. If children are present, ID's are not needed." or something. P.S. Ok, I will admit that I am a liberal, city dwelling snob. I don't like the idea of Wal Mart. But this 24 hr store has saved my sanity many a time. They sell everything, which is great, because there is no where else to buy stuff around here. The Dells may be America's waterpark supercenter but getting basic supplies here sure sucks. DO NOT BUY GLASSES HERE....I bought prescription glasses here in 2018. The staff is not capable of agreeing on your measurements for proper fit. When I finally got sick of them sliding down my nose I brought them in seeing what the problem was: my face or the glasses. I was told that the bow (temple earpiece) was too short and should have never been ordered for me. I was also told there was NOTHING that could be done. (I asked to buy longer bows). Nope. Now I am stuck with a $250 pair of glasses that slides down my face. read more

Not my favorite place to shop for food but we have few choices, oh how I miss country market which was closed when Walmart opened. I would still go there! Zinkies is too far out of the way for me and too much hassle to get to. Walmart is Good for household items & personal stuff. This place is always packed and good for people watchers! A plus is they are open 24 hrs. I haven't had any major complaints or bad experiences here.I find myself forced to go here due to lack of other choices. The dells really needs a grocery store chain to open in the area of the main tourist area. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more to avoid Walmart. First of all let me say I only go here when it's absolutely necessary. Every time I shop here I think the song "Welcome to the Jungle" should be playing. First the store is dirty. There is garbage everywhere. There are not enough workers and the ones that are there seem to be overwhelmed and overworked. The shelves look like the apocalypse is happening, everything is out of stock, or just the few things I need lol. It is always crazy busy with people and there is literally 2 check out lanes and about 20 people in each line, and I'm not exaggerating. Tonight I got a sweet treat of a group of foreigners, who were riding all over in front of people's cars and all over the parking lots. Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist but I almost hit them going to the other store across the road (Kohl's and Joanne's ) because they were standing in a group on the road with their bikes, then swerving around the cars in the parking lot. Ugh. Twatwaffles letting their kids run, literally run, and throw things around through the store while they're screaming. Not that it's the stores fault but they put up with it. I tried to ask for help in one of the departments and the worker had no clue about the basic products in that department. I just find myself so frustrated by the time I'm able to check out of there and get to my car, it's probably not even worth the $5-$6 I save during my trip. But looking at their ratings, I'm not the only one who feels like this. One of the worst Walmarts I've been to. Why do I keep going back? I haven't a clue. read more

This Walmart could give out Gold Coins and it wouldn't make up for the Unacceptable Customer Service! My daughter travels the country for her company and uses Walmart to purchase money orders instead of traveling with cash. This particular Walmart at 130 Commerce St. Wisconsin Dells,Wi employs a Customer Service Manager named Jay. My daughter is the most respectful professional and polite young lady I have ever met and has a heart of SOLID GOLD. She simply said: Yes Sir to this (insert profanity laden description here!) But for now Gentleman. He responds with his own profanity laden lecture towards my daughter that he is a veteran and works too ***damn hard for his living to be called Sir! I myself was an NCO and I understand this is a "GO TO" response from crusty old veterans trying to be cute. However, in this day and age WHY on God's green Earth would a MAN speak to a young lady in this manner. Especially one that is a CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER!
