I am a huge fan of Rouses Market and whenever I am in this part of the southeastern United States…read moreand I am close enough to one of their locations. Rouses Market was started by Anthony Rouse, Sr. back in 1960 with a single location in Houma, Louisiana. It has since expanded to over sixty locations across three states (Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama). The thing that I like best about Rouses Market are the local items and I am always heading home with several items that I simply cannot get in Florida. I picked up some local food stuff that I can only find in Cajun country. The staff at this location was friendly and professional and this store is pleasant and welcoming. All in all, I would definitely recommend this location of Rouses Market or any Rouses Market location for that matter. If you are in the area, come check them out. I give this particular Rouses Market location five stars overall for a completely positive and upbeat shopping experience.

This is one of the weakest Kroger locations I've ever visited! When I was at Ole Miss the Kroger in…read moreOxford was pretty awesome and they have built a huge new Kroger in Oxford that is even more awesome. The Laurel, MS location of Kroger has a worn out and depressing ambiance. This Kroger just seems to generally be a disappointment to me as they are usually out of what I'm looking for. The blueberries, raspberries and blackberries they offer here often don't look so fresh or appetizing. They seem to nearly always be out of heavy whipping cream and they rarely seem to keep the whole milk kefir in stock. The beer selection is really sad here and they don't stock what I'm looking for. On average my visits here are full of disappointments and I would much rather just go to Hattiesburg to visit the Rouse's that ALWAYS has what I want and need.

I shop exclusively at Sunflower now that Greers has added a 10% surcharge on all their groceries (even premarked items). I do miss the deli but hopefully Rameys will put one in the poplarville store. Happy, friendly people work here...they greet every customer unlike Greers cashiers who rather text or chat amongst themselves. I haven't steppped foot in Greers since I was ripped off to tune of $18.96 on my grocery bill the 1st week they became "cash savers". What I found there was a actual butcher, employees who were polite, courteous, and eager to help you find what you need, as well as management staff working alongside their associates . Everyone, staff and customers alike all had smiles on their faces. The prices were reasonable, the meat was fresh, and it was well stocked. It is an older store but it was clean and well situated/organized. Store Specials begin every Friday and you can view the circular online as well as make out your list. My total bill was $129 and I got good quality food including canned, frozen, fresh meat and fresh produce. I am disabled and on a fixed income. I was able to manage this store and that means the world to me.. Parking was right in front and one of the associates put the items from my cart to the conveyor belt, bagged them, and then loaded them in my car!!!!!!! I didn't even have to ask! This is a true blessing. I am definately going to be a regular customer. Thank You Ramey's Marketplace!

It says "baked daily" right above the area. Everyone was friendly enough, but alas, that's not going to get me fresh baked doughnuts. . Take a look at the pictures for the full story. I wish I can give this place NO STARS…read more I do not recommend coming here because there is an employee here who likes to disrespect people of other ethnicity. I do not support a place who would give a job to a racist, ignorant, and uneducated person. I will tell all of my friends and family not to come here anymore. On March 27, I went in to Greer's Market at Bayou La Batre to purchase alcohol. An employee badge #8147 Register #002 Store #00016 asked for my ID, after she looked at my ID, she said to me "Hong kong." I was confused at first when she said that to me because I'm of Asian descent. I asked her what did she say again? And she said to me again, "You're driver's license says you're from Hong Kong." From my understanding, I don't see anywhere on my ID that says "HONG KONG" and it's a American Driver's License. I was born in the States and I speak Perfect English and I can understand clearly when someone is trying to think they can get away with being racist against me because maybe she assumed I can't speak English well. I told her immediately that she is a racist person and that comment was uncalled for and I don't think it was funny at all. She didn't say anything afterwards besides "omg" under her breath. She didn't even apologize for her comment. I don't appreciate being discriminated against and I also don't think Greer Employees especially the store managers care about complaints from customers at all either because I called them and they told me that the store manager wasn't in until Monday. I talked to Deborah to let me speak with the store manager who passed the phone to Sarah and Sarah told me the store manager wasn't working until Monday. She gave me the corporate's number which is (251)457-8655. I will be calling on Monday and seeing if she actually did give me the corporate's number or a fake number to try and get rid of me. ‍ Also. Employee was not Covid-compliant. Had her face mask below her chin.

Now they add SOY to their meatloaf to cut down on their cost for them, but still charge us a premium price for the meat. Soy does not belong in a MEAT loaf. I will no longer order their holiday turkey breast because they're charging me for A carcass along with the breast. Now I will no longer order meatloaf because they're charging me for meat and yet they cram SOY in the so-called meatloaf. It's getting pretty close to the point where I just won't shop here anymore. There was also a time where they re-wrapped meat with a new date on it and forgot to remove the old date. That's not really legal. I don't know who is doing all of this, but it's not how little butcher shop used to be. Whoever is in charge now needs to stop it immediately before they get turned in to the proper authorities.
