Here is just like any other grocery store. This grocery store has history rich history at that. I even was able to find the little juice jugs that I used to purchase when I was a little girl that they still carried, and I am almost 40 years old now so to see that they still carry those jugs of Juice blows my mind everyone in this grocery store was super sweet. The parking lot is really small, but you can find what you need versus going to Kroger's on semen Dollar or across town.

The staff is always very pleasant & helpful. However, one cashier in particular can be quite quirky. He kept referring to me as "my lady" in a British accent. For instance, "Would my lady like her receipt with her or in the bag?" I'm pretty sure he is American- just using the accent to be funny. He seemed nice enough though. The only down side is that it is usually cluttered & unopened boxes are setting on carts in the aisles. Overall, very pleasant shopping experience.

Went to return my unopened and unused items about an hour later and was told Dollar Tree doesn't do refunds, only exchanges. I didn need anything else, so I asked for a gift card instead. The store assistant manager said "she don't know how to do that," and basically told me that I could not get a gift card, only an exchange and pointed out the fine print on the bottom of the recipt that said no refunds. Won't shop here again, what an absolute joke.

They are large and carry a wide variety of items. They will order anything for you. Tom has been in the meat dept as long as I can remember. My dad always sought him out and I still do. Need a special cut... Tom will do it. Need fresh oysters... Tom will do it. Just want to say hi to a friendly face.... Tom will do it. You don't get service like this just anywhere. The downfall? Prices. It's well worth the short drive to Wal-Mart or Meijers to get better prices on every item. McMaken's probably has to pay more than these huge chains so the difference is understandable but in the current recession it's regrettable.
