I tried walking around the store to try to still look around but I was so upset with that interaction that I left. I was very disappointed by the way I was treated and hope that she realizes how easy you can ruin someone's day.

I am decidedly androgynous with short hair and a very masculine presentation. My email address uses my former (legal) name and he felt the need to taunt me about this. At the end of the interview (which was full of contrived and redundant questions and facts all the way through) he shuffled through his documents saying "there's another name on here, I saw it" to which I responded THREE TIMES "it's incorrect." Mind I was measured and composed as could be, and I stated it was incorrect three times as he shuffled through, but he did his utmost to find my deadname on the documents (only place it was on there was my email address, I did not specify this was my name at all in any other fields) and proceeded to (with a SMIRK) say the incorrect name out loud, TWICE. I told him once again it was incorrect, and he smirked again and ended the interview with a positively condescending "thank you for coming in Miss Hayden." I didn't react; I was in shock. There is no way to report this to corporate, either, so I'm stuck desperately messaging Kohl's socials and posting this Yelp review. Steve is the only man who works in that store (besides prospectively me) and he's the manager. Hope to get some closure or justice on this but I suspect it won't happen and he'll continue to discriminate. And also mind, I tried my best to interpret this as anything other than transphobic harassment but the smirks and insistence to say a name he knew would upset me says otherwise. Genuinely at a loss here.

Today, my mom and I shopped here, we were the only customers in the whole store and no one helped us. At one time my mom was trying on one of the sample shoes and a red head girl asked, "those don't fit?" My mom responded, "unfortunately no." And the sales girl replied, "aw that's too bad." Do I need to say more? What a perfect opportunity for her to say, "oh well let me grab one in your size!" And that's even just the basics. There was about 4 employees in the store who could have easily made a sale from us. We looked at everything. We were ready to buy more than just the $18 sunglasses we got. But our interests soon expired since their interest in us didn't seem exist in the first place. Mason, I'm disappointed. Since I'm a bit far to drive up just for a shopping spree, I emailed the company to inquire about the necklace. Liz emailed me back immediately to describe the situation: they were out of stock, but would try to see about getting the necklaces from another source for me. Not even a week later, she emailed again to let me know about new stock that had arrived, even sending pictures along. I asked her to set aside one in Teal and one in Salmon. She replied, asking me to call Cassandra at Masons' mall location, who would ship them out to me the same day so I wouldn't have to wait over the weekend. And when they arrived? They were paired with beautiful earrings that I wasn't expecting and even a personalized thank you note from Liz just for shopping with Masons. I love it! Extremely delightful people to work with and I'm so happy with both necklaces and earring sets. If I'm ever in the area, I'm definitely stopping to shop with them again!

The manager came by and told us that we would have to move, so we asked her where the benches are for people to sit , as my wife is disabled. She said we dint have any but you can go down to the home dept amd there are some chairs there. Turns out they are most all bean bag type chairs. Lol , So its OK to sit on the furniture for sale on display but not where we were at. Target gets chairs amd benches for customers I mean you even have Statbucks in your stores and they don't even have chairs. Come on guys get into the century would you.

They even have camping, fishing, and sports stuff and a big shoe area in the back. The discontinued items they carry are usually name brand items but vary on pricing. I have gone before and found tons of great deals like $4 earhart tanks, Nike shorts, and sports bras. But then I will go the next month and everything is $20-30 each. It is worth stopping by to see what they have but they have no returns so be sure to go when they have a good sale.
