This Wal-Mart is huge. That is the only positive thing I can say about this place. The customer service is beyond bad. And this isn't one bad trip...this has happened many times. It is hard to find anyone to help you. Many times I have asked someone where something is, they seem totally put out, and tell me where it 'might' be, or they just say "I don't think we have anything like that." Plus, you have to really know your prices for food items. Some things are the same price, if not more, than at any basic grocery store. And their produce department is a joke. Soggy vegetables and bruised apples. Two Christmases ago I literally left my cart with stuff in it right in an aisle and drove across the street to Shopko and did ALL of my Christmas shopping there. Wal-Mart is way over-rated, and I am not shpping there any more. read more

I would give only 1 star for ANY "Get-it-all Mart" store but had to respond to the one reviewer here. She is RIGHT-ON about customer service with the EXCEPTION of woman's wear. If you want top-notch customer service with a huge smile and your humor-fix for the day head to that dept. Look for the wild 'n crazy lady with the big hair and "Loud Family" voice and tell her that her sister says hello! You can get just about anything you need here but be forewarned, this store is big! The prices are the lowest in town (due, of course, to corporate BULK purchasing power...welcome to "Sprawl-mart"). They are open 24/365 so if you can, go ANY time other than Friday evening or weekends when the place is packed to the gills. read more

The shelves are becoming barren, they have empty boxes everywhere, the entire area in the freezer department that holds Jack's pizza was empty! It's getting more and more like this, I sent my son in for coffee creamer and he came home with another brand because my usual brand has been out for a week now, when I went in last night it was like our town is expecting a disaster.. picked over and empty. Was in to get an oil change. Took over 30 minutes before talking to anyone. while the manager sat in the office. Then some lady who worked there yelled out into the garage for a guy named Jason. Jason asked for some help and the manager started bitching at him. Jason helped everybody as fast as he could while the manager and the other lady sat in the office. So in my opinion. Jason himself gets a 5 star review for helping Everyone and maintaining a professional composure!! The manager and the other lady are most definitely a 1 star!! read more

This is a well stocked, COVID-aware store -- unlike everywhere else in the Northwoods where very few are practicing social distancing and wearing masks. And I appreciate that. Regarding their products, their shelves are full -- which I'm not used to coming from Los Angeles -- and associates are helpful. If you think this store is "bad" you are luckily a bit spoiled. I ordered same day Christmas cards and was told they would be ready by 11:00 am. I received an email that they were delayed and to check back at 6;00 pm. I had to go to the store at around 2:30 pm and stopped at the photo center to see what the hold up was as the location is a 40-minute drive. I was told that they ran out of toner for their printer the day prior and that the toner would not be delivered until the next day so my 'same day order' was going to be another 2-days. If Walmart is going to accept orders and send updates, they could at least put the correct information in the order updates. Whoever does the printer management at this location should never let the levels get to this point. Many customers inconvenienced by this type of service. It's Christmas and you are a photoshop! I then canceled my order since the location would not commit to a completion time as they joked, it would depend on the time the toner came in. I then had to wait for over 40-minutes for two managers to figure out how to refund my money but hey, they kicked in a $30.00 inconvenience fee. Not really worth the 6 hours I wasted using this store. Lesson learned! read more

On a weekend in the Northwoods where guns, hunting and fishing are prevalent, there really should be more than one person working the sporting good section. Had to wait 25 minutes just to get some ammunition because the poor guy behind the counter was getting blown away setting up bear hunting and fishing licenses for customers, making it impossible for him to take care of the other people that had quick requests. I imagine the weekends bring in a lot of customers in this section. Something to consider! I don't plan on stopping here again. read more

While the store is large and has a lot of stuff, much of which I think they really don't need to stock, it has some good things about like it is open 24 hours a day which makes it convenient to shop anytime. If you need help though there is virtually no one available in the various departments to help you. Some things I don't like about them is that they will be out of the things I need, like full head romaine, and distilled water to name a few items and when they are out, it sometimes takes a week sometimes to get the items back in. One time they couldn't get in my prescription in their pharmacy for at least a month they said---although they were able to get it in after about a week after I told them that I would just have the prescription transferred to another pharmacy. If there wasn't another pharmacy in town, I would have been out of my medication for at least three weeks---they acted like its just too bad we can't get it in for a month, Also they are now starting to put their medications in those long blue boxes (sometimes paper boxes) with each pill being put in a bubble on a sheet of plastic. They are hard to get out and you usually have to cut them out with a sharp small knife since the pills are small and won't pop out when they are pushed on. Since I have several medications and they are for 90 days I end up with a big bag of medications since they are in the punch out bull wrap. I have asked them to get the medication in the regular pill bottles so they will easily fit into my refrigerator and not take up the whole shelf, but they just told me to complain to Walmart headquarters. So I wrote their headquarters, but as usual there was no reply and they continued to put tiny pills in those bubble plastic sheets, so I just took my $8000 a year medication business across the street to Shopko. I have a tone of complaints about their pharmacy like how they keep changing my prescriptions even though they are written brand specific. It seems that they don't understand that some people are allergic to certain brands or have bad reactions to some of the binding ingredient in other brands. They just keep changing my prescriptions to mach whatever cheep drug they can get from India or wherever. One thing though they keep their store clean and they keep waxing the floors all the time, when I go in at night the place is always getting the floors waxed.... so that's why I gave them an extra star..... yes, for having very clean shinny floors ---otherwise they would have been giving a one star rating. read more

The worst customer service center! I called was transferred to customer service waited for 5 minutes no one answered had to call back. Received a call this am that they found my item and it would be at the service desk. When I came to pick it up 5 people were standing there and no one knew anything. They had a manager there that never stopped to help. Finally they called Karen in toys who was the only person that helped! Thank you so much Karen for your awesome customer service! read more

I tried to find an email address for the manager of the store, Brent, so I could personally thank him, but I couldn't find one. I'm in town helping my elderly parents out. Yesterday I was out in their car & the battery died. I asked if I could replace the battery for them, but they said it wasn't needed. Today when I got up, they were already gone. They had gone to Walmart looking for a battery charger they could carry around in their car, in case the battery went dead again. They realized what they wanted to get was more expensive than a new battery. They asked the auto dept at Walmart to replace their battery. Seeing my parents were elderly, they should have explained to them that they took customers on a first come, first served basis and that there was a lot of people in front of them. My dad asked how much longer and they wouldn't give him a definite answer. After waiting for 2 hours he called me. I knew it was past his time for lunch and getting close to his nap time. Both of my parents have health issues and need to stick to their schedules. I told them to just drive home and I'd take care of getting the battery. I was afraid they wouldn't do that tho because they are really struggling to maintain their independence & knew I would pay for the battery if I had to go out and get it. I called the store manager and explained to him that the Automative department was not treating my elderly parents properly and I was very concerned about them. I asked him to please walk down there and verify that they were leaving since I didn't have a way to get over there and check on my parents myself. I told him I would go back & get the battery myself. I didn't tell him I wasn't planning on going back to Walmart for it tho. My parents finally came home and told me that Brent was very nice to them. He made sure they were taken care of immediately and they got their battery for free! I didn't expect that at all! Thank you very much Brent! The elderly population is growing every day. The people at these stores need to learn to treat them better. Hopefully, Brent will talk to his employees about this. read more

Associates are very personable and management is very accommodating. This is the only store in the city that is a "one stop shop".

This store's customer service is exceptionally good, most of the cashiers are amazing and are a blast to have checking you out. I love this store and will continue to come every day.. The best cashier i have met so far is a cashier named Karl, lol he's awesome!!! read more

Walmart gets beat up for hurting small businesses but that is a mythology. All those small businesses are now making money on Ebay and Amazon and they have hardly any overhead. They make more money now than they ever did. Small local stores are notorious for price gouging on everything. I love going to Walmart . The walking I get in adds to the fun. Winter is long here and a trip to Walmart for window shopping and a snack at the concession is a nice treat. They even ship for free many items if you spend $45 minimum. The interface Walmart has with the internet reduces your need to get customer service. I go online and create my shopping list. You can get a store map from the service desk. I take my list and the map and I can manage on my own. When I have asked for help the service has been good. I use the internet before I go to Walmart so I already establish the best sales and I won't miss out on a sale. Shopping in the Northwoods leaves you two choices- the locals who charge a ridiculous high price for the same thing that Walmart has to offer for less. Locals often have no web site or online shopping. You have to drive there only to find out they don't have what you want and if they do it will cost you a fortune. A rural economy endures the cost of driving everywhere, and that cost for gas is a factor in the budget. If Walmart wants to ship stuff I need for free that saves me having to drive 60 miles to get it. Our Walmart adds a lot to our quality of life. I am thrilled that we have a Super Walmart. read more
