I have tried all weekend to talk to someone about the pick up policy. I have not been able to find the answer online. So, I have tried calling approximately 30 times since yesterday morning. I have tried almost every department just trying to get a hold of someone. This is crazy. When I'm there, those working the slow departments are usually goofing around with another employee or texting/browsing on their phones. The biggest issue is the Pharmacy. They are slow, slow, slow. Very few people around & it was a 20 minute wait. It's a new store. Everything is nice other than the slow Pharmacy service. read more

Rapid City has the sorriest Wal-Mart's I have ever been to in my life. You can ALWAYS expect long lines, inadequate staffing (even prior to Covid), half empty shelves and the handicap parking is often filled with locals from nearby counties that are occupied with young drivers (most of the time) with no handicap tags who abuse the parking. Further, if you are one of those people who still prefer to pay in cash, the self checkout are not available to you. Thus, grab a book to read and a soda and grab your spot in line, because you are going to be there awhile. I think I'm done shopping local. The only reason I give 1 star is because the young cashier, Journee, was sweet as can be and very apologetic to everyone she rang up in front of me. It wasn't her fault. Bless her for trying. If I had not had that interaction , Wal-Mart would have gotten ZERO stars from me. You guys really need to get with it. read more

This store was very clean and well kept. I had one of the best experiences in a Wal-Mart deli that I have ever had. The associate in the deli was incredibly helpful and nice. He was able to give his opinions and recommendations about the meat and explain different things about what we were getting. Then, as he was slicing the meat I had ANOTHER associate come over and ask if I needed any cheese sliced! I have never been helped by one associate then had another associate offer to help as well! Walmart is the absolute worst. While avoiding this place for the last 15 months during the pandemic, I decided to give it one more try. I planned to slip in the garden entrance to avoid people but when I arrived, the harden door was locked! That did it for me. I will be returning to Target for all future shopping. They are prompt and accurate on the curbside pickup whereas Walmart is slow, inaccurate and make terrible substitutions. No more! I'm done ! read more

My wife, father in law, and I were on a cross country trip. Wife needed to get a prescription filled. It was at closing, so they said they would fill it the next morning and call. The pharmacy opens at 9 am. Wife tells me at 10:30 that prescription had not been filled and that there was a line of people. Wife finally went in an hour later and told them we couldn't wait any longer. I mean, how long does it take to fill a prescription, and why couldn't we have been given an approximate time that the prescription would be ready? Worst customer service ever. read more

Couple stars for it being a clean store. Customer support requires vigorous searching and chasing people down. If you stand if front a locked glass case, you'll be waiting forever. If an associate swings through, they'll not ask if you need help. Not just one visit has formed this view. read more

Wow, this Walmart is overpriced compared to the one on LaCrosse Street, by at least $1-$2 more on items. This Walmart is cleaner and less busy than the other one, but its Walmart, so I would go to the other one to save alot of money. Just my opinion, anybody feel the same? read more

I didn't care for the door people on the way out. I paid for my stuff at the cashier and walked to the door. I had one bag with my receipt in my hand and the guy still wanted to look through my bag. He didn't do that to anyone else. Other people with carts went right past him. read more

Worst place to shop. In my opinion, all Walmart items are so cheap because they buy cheaply made replicas and food that either has been stored so long its bad before its on the shelf or it poor quality. Some time ago I looked at how much our family spent at Walmarts over the years and then looked at what We had to show for it. The result was a a lot of money for nothing so I boycotted all Walmarts. Absolute worst experience with the tire center EVER! They are truly the slowest moving technicians on the planet. 3 hours to mount and balance a set of tires is ridiculous, even for a hungover mechanic. I'd give them zero stars if I could. I will NEVER come here for tires ever again. Saving $ is not worth the wasted time. I think they do it on purpose so you shop around to spend more $, this may be my last trip to this Walmart, if I can help it. Don't ever buy a coconut any fruit in this store without properly checking the expiration date. I bought a coconut on the 12/24/16 and just for me to get home and found out it was suppose to be used by 12/20/16. It's rotten and can't even use it. read more

I have been shopping at Stummer Walmart since they opened and will continue for the following reasons: easier road access, better parking, shorter check out lines with no waiting, pleasant and very helpful floor staff, larger shopping lanes, prices compare the same as the Lacrosse Walmart, pharmacy is efficient and knowledgeable, main shopping floor and grocery department has lanes marked clearly for ease of finding products. Please hire more help in the return area as it is so slooooow. The customer service seems to only staff 1 person usually and they are way too overworked. They usually are very nice which is awesome considering how stressful it must be to see how long the line is getting & that they clearly could use help!
