I had a great shopping experience today!! Exceptional customer service from my cashier Dariana and also a really nice guy named Augustus who volunteered to go get an item I realized I forgot during checkout!! The greeters are always warm and friendly as well. Looking forward to my next trip to what seems to be my home away from home...lol!! read more

It's ridiculous to have self checkout lanes and then rope them off so that can't be used and then only having 2-3 real checkout people working the regular lanes!! Then, the card reader terminals are so worn out that they require 3-4 tries to read a plain bank card, and then they lock up and require some disinterested employee to take a break from playing on their phone to come over and run it IF IT WILL EVER RUN, or walk everything over to a real lane and then run everything through again. At some point it doesn't matter how much stuff you have on the shelves IF IT'S NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SIMPLY PAY FOR IT!!! read more

Made a order for pickup. I checked into the app on my way to the store. Once I arrived, I check in with the place #. A store rep completed my order in the system, meaning lied about bringing my order out on time. 20 mins later still not received my order. I called the store and the representative was animated and unprofessional. I cancelled my order and requested a refund. Will not be shopping at this Walmart. read more

Yall should really stop saying your open 24hrs online it's not like it's just around the corner to get there and find out that your not, you won't even say the times that you open and close, and getting someone to answer a phone there is near imposable. The Hammond store has their !&#* together i shouldn't have to call them to find out if your store is open or closed they even answer their phone. and why yall dont stock your shelves anymore is that hard to order enough to keep something on the shelf has management forgotten how to order enough goods to keep the shelves stocked, and don't ask anyone in the store for help they don't know jack and aint to happy you asked a question but everyone there is quick to tell you to get out the store when its time to close if you didn't hear the intercom tough leave you basket come back tomorrow. whoever was running this store back in 2016 an 17 needs to come back or retire. read more

Love this supercenter ! So big and so many options !! Came here with my grandma a few times while I was in town and had nothing but positive experience, I'll definitely be back. read more

This store has never been stocked like it should be. When you ask for help no one can give you the correct answer.

I am really not a Wal-Mart shopper. But, I do like this store. It is new. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. Good deli. Lines are long like all Wal-Marts. But, not as bad. read more

Pickup is horrible. Between the rude associates, constantly canceling orders, no one picking up the phone. Don't use them unless you like your order canceled and money tied up in "pending" for a week. Every time you try to call the store no one answers. read more

I used their Grocery Pickup for the first time. I waited over 20 minutes in stall 3 before I got my order!!! Beware!!!!

My husband just left the Ponchatoula Wal-Mart where the door guy said, "Have a nice day." Now we know he should have responded faster because the door guy then said, "or have a shitty day. I really don't care." The costumer service leaves a lot to be desired. I have now been on hold for 20+ minutes & no one is answering the telephone. Who is running that place? Next time drop a few hundred dollars at Walmart it won't be that crappy location. read more

Best cake decorators in the area! I highly recommend stopping by and ordering a cake or two! Also, the deli staff is very knowledgable about meats, cheeses, foods, and fashion! This Walmart is an all around great place to shop in a hometown environment:) read more

Always enjoy coming to this Walmart. The service is always great and the associates are very helpful. The store is clean and products is always in the right spot. read more

The service is terrible. This is the second time I have been overcharged. This time $5.00 too much. The associate acted as if she could care less. The hand held machine was broke so she had to get my pin number and take my card inside to charge it. I tried calling to let them know what number I was in and no one answer the phone. I had to stop one of the worker to tell them I was out there. It took exactly 30 minutes to get service. They really know how to make customers never want to come back there again. This is my last order from Ponchatoula, La pick up. Hammond , La may make a mistake on your order but at least they are friendly and professional. So my family and I will be going to another Walmart pick up. Sad.Sad read more

Major problems with consistency. Many items that you see today may be gone by next week, and then never seen again. Makes planning for groceries difficult. read more

Only giving it 3 stars because they have 40 registers and only utilize 3 of them. Lol other than that service and navigation are pretty good

My review is regarding the eye center. I went to get my glasses adjusted after only having them TWO days. I was polite as could be through everything after being in the hospital for hours prior to going there. I complied and blindly (literally because she had my glasses in her hands) signed a release because she was new. HORRIBLE mistake! The woman took my glasses to the back room, came back within a few minutes, and the lenses were scratched. I didn't even get an I'm sorry or anything. Like are you kidding me?? You just ruined my glasses.... The fact they do not want to take responsibility, just means they put employees who do not know what they are doing in the wrong positions. Please don't let new employees touch customers glasses. Not only do I not have my glasses now because they were scratched so badly that I need a NEW LENSE, but I have lost interest of ever going back since I was taken advantage of while sick into signing away their responsibilities when THEY screwed up my brand new glasses. Absolutely horrible! read more

Clean, well managed, friendly customer service and nice overall feel. Hard to locate items at times, almost need a store map. As long as this place remains on the right track they will receive my business. read more

Love this supercenter!!!! It is always so neat and clean. The shelves are always well stocked. I have rarely had an employee that was rude to me. I really love that this store stays open 24 hours, the only thing that I have a complaint about is that I really wish that there was some kind of security there during the early morning hours between 12am and 4am. I am a wife and a mother who can only seem to find the time to go to this store during these hours because of my busy schedule. Not that I am afraid to go there that late at night, I just wish there was security there to help ease the mind of some of us females who just happen to only get to go shopping at Walmart in the early morning hours. That would be awsum!!!! Keep up the great work!!!! read more

I had to make a trip around midnight to get diapers for my dog, who is my service animal. He goes in a backpack with me everywhere. I've never had a problem till tonight. Very rudely, an employee approached me and she stated he couldn't be in the store unless he was a service dog. I told her he was, where she then asked me if he was wearing a vest. I told her he wasn't required to because he's my ESA. Incredibly rude to me. I wouldn't have gone unless I needed. Never have this problem at Target, where they know and welcome him. Won't be shopping here again. read more

I know most people do not like "work". I was in a hurry to day, needed wiper blades, was going in, pay at automotive and head out. As I approached the automotive check out, I smiled and ask "how are you today?".... no response from employee? I placed the 2 blades on the counter. they were scanned, "$12.80". I scanned my card, twice. I am handed a receipt and the employee walks away! I ask "could I get a bag please?" Employee looks at me like I had thrown darts at them..... then, pulls a bag from the bundle and throws it on the counter....walks away AGAIN! I did not have time to approach a manager, so now I am. tc# 3035 3342 5700 8152 1753 10/06/15 13:45:56 Your person that greets the public needs some manners and training to do their JOB! read more

My husband and I just visited Walmart store at the location in Ponchatoula, La. We shop this store daily, spend hundreds at this location, and had the worst experience today. The cashier on alcohol and beverage register, Deborah, is incompetent. She has sold my husband and I alcohol multiple times with no problems. Today after we spent about 30-45 minutes waiting patiently in line, while other customers ranted over how slow and incompetent she was, she refused my husbands legal state ID. This has never been an issue before anywhere, and she has taken this ID before. It is an up to date, legal Louisiana ID. Furthermore, she refused to sell me the alcohol, even though I was purchasing, paying with my bank card and have a legal Louisiana Drivers License. I am 34 and my husband is 39, and have used our regular identification cards at this store, and many other locations, before without any trouble. The manager, Kathy, who pulled the alcohol out of the cabinet for Deborah was confused as to why she turned down the purchase. I am livid with this company at this time and am not sure I want to shop with any Walmart. I definitely will not shop at this one again. Terrible experience and staff. read more

Sunday March 12, as I checked out, I discovered the silver case I keep my debit & insurance cards and drivers license was missing. I explained how I'd forgotten to put it back in my purse after walking the Gumbo Cook Off in downtown Ponchatoula on Saturday. Dallas, the sweet cashier, told Heather, the front end supervisor, what happened & she was going to abort the transaction. I told them I would return as soon as I could. After searching everywhere, I cannot find it! I called the store to let Heather know so the items could be returned to the departments. She remembered me & thanked me for calling. She also said she hoped I would find it soon. I appreciate both Heather & Dallas. I've worked retail and know it is an inconvenience when these things happen, no matter the circumstances. Thank you to both for their concern. Now to check to see the activity & possibly ordering replacements. Oh, & another $35 to replace my LADL! read more
