Walmart finally got a remodel and it looks fantastic, they even did the vision center! It's got a fresh coat of paint everywhere and looks new! Let me tell you about these beautiful shiny floors! It looks slippery but that's just because it's brand new, it's kind of like an clear epoxy over cement, they're so nice! It's so welcoming, modern, and cleaner! My favorite part is the signs, in every Department there are huge signs telling you what area it is. They're definitely eye-catching! This Walmart really needed an upgrade and it couldn't have come at a better time, it looks great guys, thank you for doing that! read more

Just your average Walmart trip I took with my grandson. He asked for some goldfish so I went to the cracker isle and looked for goldfish. I found them and I wanted the big box. The Box was all the way at the top way out of a customers reach. Just a quick complaint that most of items should be able to be in customers reach. read more

It's all over the groceries, the back of our car and all over my hands, so they must've spilled liquid fertilizer or something on a ton of their bags while storing them in the back or something. We went in today on my birthday I wanted to get champagne, I had my little sister with me. We both are from California so we already were being singled out, she asks for my ID I'm 27 so I expect that but since I had my little sister with me who has no where else to go because we drove here together wasn't 21 she wouldn't sell me my own alcohol. She already was giving us dirty looks while we were waiting in line so I knew I was going to have issues. I put my sister in the car and come back to buy alcohol for my birthday, she said since I had my sister with me before I can't buy any alcohol at their store. read more

this is ridiculous. I don't get the juice that I ordered not only that but they the block and charger that I ordered was replaced with just a block. Like put two and two together obviously I wanted a block AND charger if I ordered those. if I just wanted a block, I would've ordered just a block! Like honestly, y'all are scamming people with ur walmart orders. that ain't the first time I remember ordering Panera bread, potato soup from y'all too, and you didn't add that to my order why is it that every time I order from the Walmart app they always "forget something" like ain't that great every single time?? This review relates to the customer service department only. It is a common courtesy for a store to make change for its customers. This is a practice that has gone on for as far back as I can remember. Being an out-of-towner , I recently made purchases at this Walmart and got $20 over my purchase so I would have money to pay the exorbitant West Virginia tolls on my family's return trip. When I went to the customer service desk to exchange the $20 bill for quarters I was told that Walmart doesn't make change. However, I am happy to report that Kroger on Broadway does and that's where I shall take my business on future visits to Pekin! read more

I've spent 38 years in retail sales! If I was the manager of this Walmart I would immediately FIRE the girl who in charge of cashiers on the night of 12/22/21. While standing in the very long line trying to check out with my $200 worth of purchases! There had to have been 50 people waiting to check out. I walked up to the front and asked if they could open more check out lanes. The girl looked at over the top of her glasses and replied in a very nasty tone, that everyone knows there are only 2 cashiers after 8:30pm and there be no more lines opened! I told that I didn't have buy all this here and could go somewhere else. She replied that she didn't care and walked off. The poor guy at the checkout apologized and said there was nothing he could do. It's just ridiculous that the management would put these poor employees in this position. I will not darken the door of this place again. Shame on you Walmart, you have forgotten the people who made you the giant you have become. This person will help you no longer. read more

I live locally, in Pekin. Shopping at Walmart was never a particularly memorable or positive experience, but since our last visit, we won't go there again ever, unless we have to. The store had been in the midst of renovations for a little while, most of which they seemed to be trying to manage over night shifts. No problem with that. When we went there during the day however, there was a major stocking effort going on, with what appeared to be "all hands on deck" present in the store. This should've been a customer service opportunity, but what it showed me, first hand, was how the employees really feel about customers. We were purchasing a few things, but one major item was a computer. I'd asked a manager rep where to find something in the department. After looking at me glassy-eyed as if to convey, "Why are you talking to me??" She answered with what was a pretty standard customer service response, leaving me wondering why my question was so intrusive. You could argue she was occupied, except that she wasn't. She went back to standing around aimlessly (supervising?) after I walked away. The worst though was actually trying to select our computer. We were reviewing and discussing the features. Employees kept walking past, some with product, some not. We stayed out of the way, obviously observing there was some sort of effort taking place. When we decided on our computer, however, mind you, they were positioned in the path of this store's inventory area. We didn't get a choice of where to choose the computer from. We were courteous in staying out of their way, but when we tried to get the large box into our cart, a team of 3 employees came down this aisle, side stepping around us, then stopping, in our path, with computer in mid-transit to our cart. I kid you not. It wasn't like we were several feet from it either, they were simply completely oblivious to our presence or our plight. As my son and I stood balancing our purchase, waiting for them to move, realizing they weren't acknowledging us, and it wasn't like they were trying to move product; they were just preoccupied with themselves. I said, "Excuse us." A manager rep swung around and gave me the most hateful, who-the-f-do-you-think-you-are look I haven't seen since grade school. Seriously, I couldn't believe it. We are congenial people and tried to laugh it off, saying, "We just need to get this into the cart." At that point, someone with a mind for customer service (or even half a decent human brain response) would've composed and excused herself, at minimum. That didn't happen. She sauntered off with her entourage, into the inventory back room, without apology, and letting us know without question, we were at best, an inconvenience, at worst, a bother and obstacle, in her domain. Never doing business here again until you FIX IT. Just outrageous. read more
