Upon arrival, one is greeted by a pleasant aroma of leather wafting from the store. The front is western themed and looks like something out of a John Wayne movie or old Dodge City. Very creative architecture. Inside the store there is a massive array of "cowboy" hats and boots. Upon entering, we were greeted by a kind young lady who offered to help us with our search. We were looking for a dress for my wife and a dress shirt for me. We found a quality Wrangler western shirt with pearl snaps for me, but the clothing selections for women were a bit light. It is fair critique, but in their defense, the name of the business is not Western Wear, it is The Boot Store. After striking out, we left for another store to find a dress. We found one at another location. Upon finding the dress, we needed boots to match. My wife has extremely wide feet, which has always defeated her in finding cute cowgirl boots. Realizing we were now in the hunt for boots, we returned to The Boot Store. They had no boots my wife's size in stock. This is not a strike against them. Many companies don't make D width cowboy boots. Even fewer carry that inventory. Nevertheless, the same young lady who had helped us previously returned to our side to help. She measured my wife's foot and helped her determine exactly what type of boot we were looking for. We did find one pair that would have worked, but they were a high end boot and beyond our price range. Prices vary from very cheap to very expensive and everywhere in between. For the average western boot wearer, male or female I can't think of a better place to find western footwear. This is a destination location for all things western. Hats, belts, buckles, western shirts, and boots, boot and more boots! Every type and sort and color you can imagine. My wife used the women's room while she was there and the toilet was clogged. Eh, these things happen. If there was a negative that was probably it. Parking is ample. The business is on a busy thorofare. Getting out can be a challenge at peak traffic times. Overall, a five star experience for us.

Do yourself a favor by not getting the cleaner or conditioner if you have a light colored boot, it will darken it.

I have so much respect for the district manager that was here today, we had a short but sweet conversation about our personal lives and found out we had a lot in common. What a treat! Great attitude towards their jobs and the business they are in, you can tell they are very experienced and very knowledgeable about their business. Eventually, one barista had lined up a lot of 16-ounce cups. Seems like the business has online orders coming through at an overwhelming rate. I hope y'all figure this out. At 11:00 AM, 25+ minutes into my wait, there was a lineup of customers. The dude at the front of the line went unacknowledged for several minutes. That's when I gave up being patient and asked the nearest barista when I'd have my drinks. She kindly told me "five minutes," and when I said "I've been waiting 25 minutes," she calmly and politely replied that she'd make my drinks right away. Bless up. At 11:06 AM, after 30+ minutes, I had my goods and was out the door. Our kid loved the macarons! And the barista who interacted with me was sweet. However, the wait was outrageous and my "flat white" is a 12-ounce latte. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte is delicious. To the owners/management--please support your staff and operations better! I plan to make a trip back really soon since the location is close by my home. This little boutique is near the Ramsey down Harrodsburg road going away from town.
