Guys and girls. It's Black Friday weekend on Sunday night.... I came in at 1015 to get oil and coffee creamer knowing it wasn't in stock. There is a gentleman named MERLE that is stocking the dairy area as we speak who has changed my awful night to a happy night. He went out of his way when he saw me looking for a bottle of creamer that and asked "which one are you looking for" dragging in a huge pallet. This gentleman went in the back to make my day and check if they had it in stock. Although they didn't I was so pleased and thankful for his dedication I honestly will say he made my night better. Ordered Black Friday deals. They cancelled my order after five days. They offer zero reason, they offer no reward or coupon to offer to replace the order. They keep the charge pending on my credit card for 5 days, even after the order they cancelled. This was the second order in as many days that Walmart failed to deliver on on-line orders. The one item that was not on Sale. Of Course they were able to find and Deliver that one. So you'd think that product would be to my home in 3 days. NOPE its coming and going to be delivered "eight days" after my order?? In The U.S. You can deliver anything in less then 4 days. Horrible experience. They should call it advertising "Consumer FRUAD Friday". instead. Never again. read more

This Walmart is out of the way for me, but I was in the area and decided to stop in. My primary reason to visit Walmart is the toy section as I am an action figure collector. I am very used to going to the toy section in my local Walmart in Linden, NJ and finding *nothing*. They do restock now and then, but unless you are there when the items come in you're generally out of luck. Not so (apparently) at *this* Walmart. I went in looking for very specific toys and BOOM, as soon as I got to the toy aisle they had exactly what I was looking for. Now, given the sheer amount of stock I'm guessing they just put the items out on this day, but it was great to see stuff *on shelf* instead of just tons of empty space. The rest of the store is like all modern day Walmarts magnified (it *is* a Supercenter after all). The aisles are wider, there is more shelf space for everything and the lights are somehow brighter. Check out was quick and I had barely any wait. I had a good experience here and if I'm in the area again I would definitely stop by. read more

Had to run in quickly for something and it was impossible to navigate through the store. Pallets and pallets throughout the aisles it's very unsafe. If there were an Emergency people would be trapped. Then you have to check yourself out and then stop and wait online to leave to have your receipt checked. read more

I wanted for over two hours for my grocery pickup after I received the Notification that my cart was ready. I arrived, and I waited for over two hours. I called over and over again and nobody answered. It is ridiculous at this level of failure and disappointment and laziness and ignorance is acceptable to anybody. There has to be some sort of consequence for the staff to be this lazy and unwilling to help or do their jobs. The staff does not want to help, they were earbuds, I've been ignored when asking questions, nobody answers the phone when I call, it either rings and rings forever or someone will pick up and hang up. Another time I asked an employee where the lightbulbs were and he replied, "lat blab? No" and he walked away. Ignorant and lazy. read more

It's been a while since I've been to Walmart in NJ. I try to avoid it if I can. In FLA I can deal with them. I know they are the largest retailer in the US. I'm in here because I had to look for a coin counter and they had one.They do charge 10.9%. I used them anyway, cuz I avoid wrapping coins at all costs. The store is generally crowded and always brightly lit with a weird mix of people. You've seen them on the Internet many times. Haha. It is a funny sight. I didn't buy any food today so I can't really rate that on this review. I'm sure they have deals but look in the flyers first. read more

I have had so many issues with my grocery order.... two hour wait time, even though I had the text/email advising it was ready - "order not found" was one excuse, the other was we can't find your order. No one answers the phone at the store to complain and when I called customer service the answer was.... get out of your car and bang on the door to let them know you are there... Really???? The management is horrible, I have requested a call back several times and nothing..... This Walmart has gone down hill and the customer service at the front are the most unprofessional rude people I have even dealt with... I understand the times that we are living in but come on.... be polite, caring and maybe just maybe pretend to care about your paying customers. I doubt this review will be read by management or corporate but I just hope it will save someone the trip to Neptune Walmart because you are wasting your time there. read more

Beware of the Tom's River Walmart Optical Center. They don't take any insurances, charge 120.00 just for an eye exam, they don't even say what their glasses would cost let alone the frames. And yet they advertise on the internet they take most insurances, well I am on medicare, medicaid and they said no they are not accepting any insurances. This sounds like a fraud to me and should they should be investigated. read more

Walmart optical department I brought in my own frames to have lenses put in. The woman I usually deal with wasn't there. A different woman called me the next day, very rude, and said she'd been wrestling with these and can't get the lenses in so come pick them up. These frames were very expensive and are actual optical frames. I went to pick them up and she was defensive and extremely affronted. I waited about an hour for the other woman to come back. She said she would try to get the lenses in. Someone called me the next day and said they were ready. When I went to pick them up the arms of my expensive frames were literally sticking out in 2 different directions so I couldn't put them on. I asked what the heck they did to them and said to adjust the bent arms. They advised an adjustment would be 29.95 plus tax. I contacted corporate but of course they didn't reply or care. I initially accepted an invitation to try out their delivery service for 15 days. It was great. you pick a window an hour during the day and the order appeared on my front step within 15 minutes of the hour. fast forward to the next day and they charge you for the entire year in advance which is approximately $95 and since then they can't find my house! they're understaffed overworked too many orders pick an excuse. If it happened once or twice or five times I can understand but in my last 12 orders only two of them have even been close to on time three were actually canceled because they never got to my order before store closing and the rest were three to five hours late. I bought beautiful Nautica eye glasses at Walmart Vision and they give me a plastic Walmart case at pick up. The case broke before we got home nearly shattering the glasses. This is the worst store. I have more thing in my home then they do in the food section. Poor management employees not that friendly. Long lines at check out because the only have one line open. The employees running Pick-Up are unbelievably lazy, incompetent and slow. I was planning to pass through the area on my way to the shore and needed a few essentials, so I placed a pick-up order--supposedly fast, easy and curbside. Instead, I was sent on a wild goose chase along with another customer. The folks at curbside (when they actually picked up my phone call) told me I had to go inside the front of the store to get my order. Then, the folks at the front told me to go back to curbside. Long story short--I canceled my pick-up order and shopped in store. Stay away from this location if you're seeking pick-up services. read more

I hate Walmart in general and this store is no exception. I only shop here on occasion and that is because for certain items they have great prices. Surprisingly, i have gotten really great steaks here and they carry frozen shrimp sourced from the USA for reasonable prices. Product availability is hit or miss at best though, and customer service is awful. I had an employee at this store once tell me he doesn't shop there and doesn't understand why anyone would want to. Most of their non-grocery items (especially their house brand) are cheap crap made in China. I feel like if I went here on black Friday there would still only be 3 registers open. Waiting on line to check out here is a major kick in the nuts. Do not ever go here if you're in a hurry and purchasing more items than allowed at the express self service registers. Also, nothing to do with this store but whenever I order stuff for delivery, the way my boxes are packed is always careless and nonsensical. Amazon does a much better job. read more

Placed my order at 7:30 AM. Received an email at 8:15 stating they were preparing my order. I was also told my order would be delivered between one and 2 PM. It is now 4:14 PM and I have received nothing! When I called the store they transferred me four times, then put me on hold for 55 minutes. While I was waiting on hold I contacted the text representative and had to speak to three different reps and I still didn't have an answer. After being on hold for 55 minutes someone finally answered the phone and told me they're waiting for door dash to come pick up my groceries and I might have them within an hour! This was the first time I most definitely will be the last time I ever order a damn thing from Walmart!!!! read more
