Walmart has a rep for being the wild west of grocery stores- it's well known that you never know what to expect upon walking into a Wally World. Be that as it may, I have always had really good experiences with this Mulberry location. I actually choose to drive the extra 15 minutes to this Walmart rather than the closer South Lakeland one. I typically do drive up orders for my groceries as again, going into a Walmart you never know what you might see or experience so I do my best to limit possible interactions. The Walmart app is super easy to navigate and I always have a great experience using the drive up here. Typically at most I'll wait a few minutes- I have never seen more than a few cars at a time here and I've come at various times of day and days of the week. I think there's been one time I waited maybe 15-20 minutes for my order and I was shocked it took that long. For comparison, at the South Florida location it typically takes AT LEAST 40 minutes to get your order because it's so crazy. So driving the extra time here actually still saves me time versus going to the Walmart that's closer to me. The math shouldn't math. When I have weathered going into this Walmart, it's usually good. It's a clean store that's typically well-stocked (the South Lakeland one is often harboring empty shelves and missing things, this Mulberry one is not so). It also has a lot of offerings for a Walmart in a small town- the classic eye clinic, a McDonalds, and even a whole hair salon. I have a disposable camera I use frequently as I am still old school and love the vintage look of film prints, and I take my film here to be developed. They actually do a great job and have a quick turnaround, as well as a supplying a digital version of the photos. I have tried places like CVS and Walgreens to develop film too and end up coming back to Walmart because it's just a better process. Lastly, mostly all the workers here have been really cool. Luz who works in the electronics is so sweet and helpful. I wish I knew the names of the drive up workers because every single one of them is always so friendly and nice even just in the few minutes we cross paths. Had to try calling 5 times over three days in order to get ahold of someone about my auto appointment to get new tires. When they finally answered, they put me on hold. This was after being notified that my appointment had been cancelled twice. Not sure what's wrong with this Walmart auto center. read more

My visit this night to walmart in Mulberry FL i thought would be very good, but it was insane and horrible. The strawberry's were all white/raw looking and had this light brown spots spreaded on some of the in the containers, some were even moldy. These Strawberries were grown in Plant City and i know plant city strawberries are amazing and how they looked in this walmart, i knew they had been sitting in the back for a while. The strawberries were clearly not taken care of properly before being placed out onto the shelves for sale. I looked at almost everyone till i found 1 that didn't have mold or the brown spots. Almost all of them had either mold, light brown spots or even both. This is crazy. Now, when i was getting cleaning supplies i see a STOCKED shelf of Sherbet swirl, they're was probably 15 full packs of them on that darn shelf, i was thinking oh nice they must be stocked on flavors, i was very very wrong. Very limited amount of flavors, only the bad ones. Cherry twist, peach, and breeze berry and mini cherry slushes. Booty flavors i tell you. Only good flavors they had were Sherbet swirl and Strawberry sunrise. The store was pretty messy, Moldy fruit and the clearance isle was messy! things thrown everywhere like a 10 year old put things on the shelves! some worker seemed to be on facetime and was squatting in the isles looking like she was working but she was on her phone, possibly on facetime. This establishment is a joke. The bathrooms are so filthy that I didn't even want to wash my hands but i did anyways. But my main concern was that my son bought a game from walmart with his allowance money. The game did not work when we got home so we drove back up to Walmart to exchange it. The clerk at the return desk was absolutely crude to my son. she explained it's a copyright law that we can't take the game back even if it doesn't work and you can exchange it for the same game. But Walmart did not have a game to replace it and they would not refund my sons allowance money to purchase another game. So Fuck Walmart we will never purchase electronics from them ever! GameStop would gladly refund or return the item so if you have game systems or games you want to buy make sure you go to GameStop not Walmart! read more

Arrived at the store at approximately 9pm...shopped around for a while and had a pretty good size cart of groceries and miscellaneous items. Arrived up front to check out at about 10:15pm - and the ONE REAL CASHIER - looked at me, flipped her light off, grabbed her drawer and booked it over to the customer service area! I, of course, followed with my cart - in hot pursuit as she runs into the door to the left of the customer service desk. Another employee pops her head out of the door and I tell her I would like to check out. She proceeded to tell me she has no tills available and no employees (big fat lie in the employee comment, they were sitting all over the place) and I had to check myself out! The store is open until 11pm! So apparently, there are not returns or any other customer service type activities allowed after 10:15pm???? I informed her of this and she told me to leave and someone at the "self checkouts" would assist me. I asked her if by "assist" she meant they would be doing their actual job of checking me out - she then made a few snide comments in a derogatory tone - she let me know she has been working there for six whole years (goody for her) and then sarcastically stated to me to have a nice night. As I was in the self checkout area with a Walmart associate checking out my purchases (I FLAT OUT REFUSE TO CHECK OUT MY OWN PURCHASES OR TO BAG THEM) - there were at least 3 other employees standing around watching. Why??? Why even be open until 11pm if there is no one checking out customers after 10:15?? You bet, I will be calling the store manager tomorrow morning - my order was over $300, this behavior from a snotty and rude employee was uncalled for. Very dissatisfied!!!! I'm at this Walmart right now and I find it highly ridiculous that NONE of the self check outs provide cash back!!! Walmart Supercenter - Grocery Near Me - Mulberry, Florida

This place was extremely disorganised and messy. I went in looking for NYE A party hats, looked in seasonal and found nothing so I desired to look in party supplies, still nothing. So I asked an employee who advised me I would find them in the groceries section. Why? So I venture over thinking well maybe they put them near alcohol. Nope nothing there, found stacks of champagne, no party hats. I decided to go ahead and purchase the bottle of wine and a few other items that I'd picked up. Went to the register and as expected the store employee verified my age. My cousin was with me she is 27 years old. The cashier asked my cousin for her ID, which she didn't have on her. I asked the cashier why she is asking for her ID when I am making the purchase and she started we have to card everyone in the party. I asked when they started carding the entire party? She stated we've always career the best entire party, if I didn't I could lose my job, if someone in the party is under 21 the person buying it may be buying it for them. I questioned he really further, stating so your saying every parent who comes in with their children who are under 21 comes in and buys their groceries and has alcohol in their cart, you are going to ask their 5-6 year old for ID and then refuse to sell them alcohol as your doing to me right now? She stated yes I will, I can't sell alcohol to someone of anyone in their party is under 21.. At this point I asked to speak to a manager, she was a bit perturbed that I was questioning her authority, and began to walk away to help another patron. The manager of this store needs firing for allowing his employees to be so incompetent. This store has gone downhill in the five years it's been opened. Besides parking lot beggars and poor parking outside, the inside is a shambles most of the time. Displays are scant and in disarray. You can never find floor help. Employees group to socialize. They're losing sales. Today I needed help. I walked from small appliances to the cell phone counter where a girl employee was flirting with the maintenance guy. I asked if she could check surrounding stores for the item they were out of. She mumbled "I'll check" but didn't come back. So I headed to Customer Service. There she was with 3 other employees only she was saying she wanted to hide there a little longer and did not want to work. Caught her with her pants down and she knew it--as did the 3 other employees with her. She started to say there was only one machine for checking and it was busy with the other lady. That woman quickly left and this lady went to small appliances to scan the item. I waited, seated 10 minutes. She never returned. During this time I had a great eyeball for the "culture" of this Walmart. Very little work, lots of employee wandering, lots of people disappearing in the back. An elder person with a $300 TV had loaded it in the cart herself and asked if she could ring it up back there since no one was on the floor (with electronics unattended? really?) and no wonder the merchandise on the aisles is not being faced out and restocked. I waited no longer and headed to the front registers. Here I found one register open with a long line while 3 women employees leaned on another counter socializing. It was an express lane so I butted in to ask if she was open and was told no. As soon as I got in the long line, she said "yes, she was open" and the two other employees scattered. This was simply disgraceful and at least five of these employees need firing. Plus the manager who was permitting this rampant culture of ineptitude. Shame. read more

Wal-Mart Pickup- So my husband and I used the Wal-Mart Pickup today. Omg, I have to say it was so easy. What can I say free pickup, and no up charge on grocery items. We ordered our groceries on Wednesday to Pickup today between the Hour of 5pm and 6pm. There is an app you use to set everything up and shop. Then when you are are ready to pick up your groceries you go back into the app and check in. This will inform the pick up team that you're heading to walmart to get your items. When you get there, the crew is heading out to meet you in the orange parking area. The person goes over your shopping order and you sign it it's correct. The person will let you know if things were out of stock or if the item was replaced due to being out of stock. If it was repalced, they replace the item at no extra charge, even of the item is more then the original. They load everythig up and you're on your way. This is super easy and so convenient. We will be doing this again read more

1 star because minus-5 was not available! Seems like what ever I am looking to purchase from this location, the shelf is bare. Whether it be a favorite pet food, a replacement mop head, soap dispenser, or roasting forks in the camping area, the shelves are empty. What happened to stores re-stocking the shelves during the night?! Today, I had an online order scheduled to be picked up at the store. Tracked the product online and the item was delivered at 10 a.m. to the Mulberry store. Having not heard anything by 3 pm, I drive over to the store and ask to pick up my order. I am told the truck had JUST arrived and no one can help me, because there is only 1 person working at the pick up desk. And that is my problem ..... how???? It is nearly 8 p.m. and called the pick up area, only to be told the item is not on the truck. Really?! According to your online tracking with the Order Number it had arrived 10 hours ago. A suggestion would be self-unloading area, where the customer(s) unloads the truck themselves for their online orders. read more

I purchased a breast pump on September 2 2019, I also got the warranty. The item stopped working, resulting in me taking it back to the store. Well, I'm experience has been, and continues to be, horrible and unresolved! I've been jumping through hoops, put on hold without warning, and transferred without being advised of where, or who I would be talking to. I work at a call center and that is one, unprofessional, and two, highly annoying. Anyway, the Walmart store won't take the product back, or replace it, since the item is opened and used, and even though it was cleaned, the product had bodily fluids in it. So they told me to contact the Walmart warranty number on a pamphlet. I did, they said they weren't able to assist and to call Allstate to then be transferred to the people who can help me. I did that, still no resolution. They were supposed to send me an email, haven't received it, called back again. Still nothing. I called corporate, they transferred me, without telling me, to the same people I was told to contact by the Walmart I purchased the item from. I want this resolved! read more

Got to Walmart at 7:51 when I was told that our 6 to 7 order was ready for pickup at 7:42. It is now 10 PM and I am reflecting on how many construction things I could have accomplished in the wasted night, dedicated to convenience by our local Walmat. I spoke to manager of the store after I finally got no answer on the 5100 line and called directly to store # and he was very helpful but could not tell me much about why It was so unorganized and why there are still about 8 cars still out here. I called multiple times from 7:55, 8:30 and around 8:55 probably. I was given the run around until about 8:55 when I finally and politely asked to just cancel the order. The employee told me I was up and itll basically be out next, in so many words. I pulled out of the parking lot at 9:30 when the grocery phone line the 5100# stop answer the phone at 9:25...... I think over a hour and a half is plenty of time to get my order that was according to email ready at 7:42. I honestly dont think I will ever use Walmart for anything after this... and I live off Carter Rd 4 mins away. Now on its ie Publix or even Target over this chaos. I ordered a pizza from Dominos for my family at 8:40 they cooked it and delivered to my house in less time. I dont blame the workers and honestly I am very understanding over most. I work logistics in the military and understand complex operations, but seriously Walmart and their poor logistics and coordination and more importantly customer service was down right awful. read more

After I pick up my son from work tonight, I stopped into Walmart Mulberry so he can get some groceries and I wanted a six pack of beer. I get to the line and the manager wouldn't sell me the beer because my son was underage?!?! I'm absolutely livid at this point. She then tries to recite the third party law to which I rebuttal, then why am I allowed to buy alcohol with my 14 year old daughter and not have to present her ID? No real answer to that question. This manager even goes as far to say she knows my entire family and my kid. I ask to speak with her boss and they confirm it's ok, let it go but she stood her ground and said no, not gonna happen. From those taking a break outside on the benches talking loudly with f this and bitch that to the check out person who didn't care about being there or taking care to pack my groceries nicely. First of all my son took his car last week to get the oil changed, his dip stick was broken and after waiting for 2 hrs they finally told him they couldn't change it because of that. So his dad ordered him a brand new dipstick. So today March 15,2016 he takes it BACK to Walmart in Mulberry to have the oil changed after waiting for AT LEAST an hour they tell him they can't change it because his oil pan has a dent in it! Are you serious?! It wasn't leaking or damaged in ANYWAY except a small dent and they can't tell him that from the get go? Do all cars have to be PERFECT to have the oil changed there? Manager WalMart Super Center 6745 N Church Ave, Mulberry, FL 33860-2080 Mulberry, Fl Here is an eye opener for your "service center" personnel: As an 81 year old customer trying to return a package of prewashed celery that was so very tough it was unusable on June 28,2017 . I was informed that they could not give me a cash receipt back but issued a in store debit card due to my not keeping the original receipt. The person was abusive and stated that she should not even be giving me the debit card. Now who keeps a store receipt for food that should be usable? I gave the debit back to the female representative with the remarks that "this is a bad store" I am the father of nine, the grandfather of 24, the great grandfather of 17 and the oldest of 8 with similar family numbers. I spend approximately $2,500.00 per year at your store. I have informed all my relatives of the distain and unprofessional manner of which I was treated with recommendations to purchase other than the WalMart organization. I will go to other discount stores to purchase paper products, meat markets for meat, farm to market stands for vegetables, and hardware stores for applicable items. So to make a long story shorter. You do the math, 9x 3000= $27,000. 24x2500=$60,000. 17x2500=$34,000. 40x2000=$80,000. Total of $201,000. Clean store, curious employees, made good friends with several employees, they remember you and your name. Nice selection of groceries and almost always in stock. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh. I cannot stress enough on how clean the store is. The security is good, they have cameras down every isle. We had a group of teenage girls trying to steal out of my purse. We called the manager later to report it and he had already seen it, they had followed the girls right out of the store. What a pleasure to shop there. Publix has snobs working for them and snobs shopping there. Walmart has good people, normal nice hardworking employees who treat us like I would treat them. read more

two bad experiences in electronics(cameras)back to back.Its like they were doing me a huge favor for getting the perfect camera.

I use this store a lot because I live so close to it so I know the place better than most of the people who work there. I already knew the auto shop was hopeless but I had an Ever Start battery that went bad and had to go there to get it replaced with the warranty..This was 8am on a Sunday am and it took me 2.5 hrs to have a battery tested and replaced..I sat watching their crew wander around aimlessly getting nothing done. It seemed like it was everybodies first day..When they finally did get a guy on my car,after I insisted,he did get the new battery in then we had the fiasco of doing the paperwork for the warranty and that took 30 minutes..This place has to be be experienced just to see how bad it can be...my particular favorite is the girl who does the intake in the parking lot...just watch her and you;ll see what I mean....If you are unlucky enough to be stuck here for a set of tires or an oil change just face facts and step around the corner of the waiting room and go into the camping section and get a sleeping bag...You GONNA be there for a while!!! read more

When Walmart opened years ago you had to swat the employees away just so you could shop. Now if you can find one and it is their department it is a miracle I wanted to buy a laptop today and the first person I found, you got it, not her department. She pointed out two women stacking videos. I walked over and had to ask for their help and they went on to tell me they may not have the keys to get to the computers. Really? Finally with keys in hand I show the employee which one I wanted. After a search she finally found one. I spent $426 on one item. Then I proceeded to purchase groceries. I spent another $175. When I returned home an item I paid $8.00 for was not in the bag. Yeah now I need to drive back to pick up the item. Your employees are lazy and seem to do the minim amount of work to get by. I am sure you have great employees but the ones that I seem to run into lack something. BTW the Walmart on SF ave. you lost the sale of the laptop because your three lazy female employees were to busy talking about their coworkers showing up sick and making everyone else sick a couple of weeks ago. Take some hints from Publix on how employees should treat customers. It may improve your stores. read more
