Every Wal-Mart is about the same. This one is a smaller Wal-Mart than usual and perhaps the smallest one that I am aware of. Customer service is about average. Sometimes it is really good based on who you get help from. read more

Walmart Supercenter - Department Stores Near Me - Mitchell, South Dakota

They allow free RV parking. I am not sure what a prior reviewer was talking about when she stated the small size. I come from a small town and live near a big city and the Walmart here is one of the largest I've been in so far. This includes traveling from WI to FL and WI to the state of WA. They have an RV section too inside the store. There is a nice grassy area to run your dogs. read more

I was in the Mitchell,SD Walmart store, around 11 am on Fri, June 4th.I entered on the "food" side, through swinging metal doors. I tried to shop, but fond out I could not, as i was struggling to breathe. I didn't get far and turned back around to go back out those doors. On my side/store side, it clearly states they are emergency doors from the store side. I was clearly having an emergency. I was struggling to breathe and needed to get out of the store.I just had my cane in my cart, so started to go through those doors, but an alarm was going off. A 50-ish woman working there, started yelling at me, "go around! go AROUND!" I struggled to say I couldn't breathe. She told me AGAIN-GO AROUND!! So I had to drag myself and cart all the way around and through the self-checkouts. I was in congestive heart failure! I could have passed out or had a heart attack and she would not have cared! I stopped for a second to tell her though my short breaths how I was trying to save myself steps cuz I couldn't breathe. Then she stood there and lied and argued, saying how she let me through! How stupid.She did NOT! She just kept YELLING at me to go around!They ought to be SUED and this be put on tv!Is this how UN-caring Walmart is? This is showing i am from Calif or somewhere, but i am from South Dakota and shop in he Mitchell walmart a lot. My daughter once worked there too, and they are TERRIBLE employees!
