I went to Boscov's to look for a dress to wear to a wedding. The selection of dresses was great and…read moreI found one on sale. However, I was looking for a fitting room and went to the first one that I saw. There was no one at the counter and a door was open so I walked in. After trying on the dresses, I walked out and a man was at the counter and proceeded to yell at me. He said that it was clearly the men's dressing room and he didn't understand how I didn't know that. Anywhere else a fitting room is a fitting room. I did not see the other fitting rooms until afterwards. I apologized and he was still very rude to me. The lady checking me out was very sweet and even got me a tissue. Maybe Boscov's should make their fitting rooms more clear.

It's a pretty big store - 22,000 square feet. The inventory is very extensive. You'll find just about everything you need and don't need here. The store is fairly clean and still looks brand new. It always has very few customers. As a result, it's a very tranquil shopping experience. I stopped in to get bedding - comforter, pillows, sheets, and pillow cases. I was very pleasantly surprised to find cloud soft comforter for $39. The prices on comforters went up at other similar stores (TJ Maxx and Marshall's). My find was identical to what I bought last year. This store has very good inventory in terms of bedding. I'm a snob when it comes to bedding (in terms of quality and softness) but they even met my needs. There were also a lot of other great items at the store: -Sheets with sardines (definitely trending!) -Artificial grass -Many cute dresses -Summer stem glasses with citrus print (perfect for all your summer aperols) -Pink Paris Hilton Dutch oven -Snickers coffee -Summer vino dresses (patio must have!) -Girl Scouts Cookies Things that didn't make me happy: -Fitting rooms in the back are closed. You have to go upfront to the makeshift fitting rooms. I feel like they always downgrade the shopping experience and feel less private. -Like almost all stores at the Steelyard, this store has a security guard (new addition). The security guard doesn't necessarily greet anyone and rowdily speaks on her phone/headpiece. It feels chaotic. -Bathrooms are accessible via code. You have to find someone to open the door. Sometimes that's a challenge. -Service is very hit or miss. Overall, if you like bargains, stop by. Be realistic about your shopping experience. Also, stop by at the Marshalls right across the way.
