Not bad, not great, just average. Thankfully, this location doesn't stink like Subway (restaurant), like the Franklin location. My only complaints are the other patrons. I watched as some jerk knowingly cut off the mentally-handicapped cart-attendant that was attempting to wrangle a couple-dozen carts. Insane price gouging, even yellow discounted stickers on produce and meat needing sold on the day of are hardly twenty percent off. Even Kroger can do this right and offer some eighty percent off! Walmart is a nasty evil to not even try moving out good that is going bad! read more

I really don't enjoy Walmart... but the staff here is very nice. When online shopping royally screwed up a birthday present for my son, the manager went out of her way to help make it right. I have always found the cashiers really friendly, too. They have some brands I can't find elsewhere in town, and two of the best flavors of my favorite kombucha. That said, the produce leaves much to be desired and they don't have some of the dairy free options my son needs, so I can't do much grocery shopping here. All the plants at this Walmart is all dead! Dried up roses and even the succulents are dead from no water. Came for clay pots but all the pots are chipped/cracked. Saddest looking garden center I have ever seen at any Walmart. read more

At the Martinsville Walmart you are taking a health risk just going there. It is a lie to say they have a mask required policy, the policy is not even followed by the employees. Most of the employees that I saw had their masks pulled down exposing their noses which causes them to breath directly onto the products they are handling. At least 25% of the patrons didn't wear masks - GREAT MASK REQUIRED POLICY. The man preparing food at the Subway in the building didn't wear a mask. He had one around his neck as he breathed all over the ingredients. In general this is not a Walmart you want to use. Always dirty, employees look and act like they are miserable. read more

Drove from Indianapolis to this walmart location because they actually sell firearms. I went down and saw that they had a very small selection of firearms to choose from, which happens and I understand. My issue came when I asked the associate for some information about the rifles. I was told she didn't know anything about them, and that they had no managers on duty that would know anything. What further bothered me was when I asked to see the catalog of sporting supplies, she first told me she didn't know where it was, then after looking a couple of minutes she gave up and called a manager for help. This is where I get really fired up. In a customer service profession, nothing ticks me off more than when an employee calls for help a manager does not respond. Instead of the manager coming to help her in the department the manager called and said she didn't know anything about firearms and our catalog must have been stolen. The poor customer service woman was frazzled, she had 5 other patrons wanting information on various products and I wanted to see a couple of rifles while a friend of mine also wanted to purchase ammunition. No manager ever came to assist the CSR. Very, Very poor in my opinion. I fully realize that this is a walmart, and I shouldn't expect much from the associates, but come on!! read more

I rarely shop at Wal-Mart and tonight was a great reminder of why. I was just trying to return some items, some with a receipt and some without. While I was trying to return these items a manager came over and interrupted my return to tell the employee that was trying to help me that someone found an open razor blade in the pillow case they had purchased for their child. She continued to point this open blade in his face while she continued to tell him about the situation and completely ignore the fact that I was there and really didn't care to wait any longer while she carried on. Come to find out, the return policy isn't as great as what I've heard as they were unable to return any of my 5 items, even the items I had a receipt for. The worst part is that when I was walking out of the store I overheard this same manager telling another employee about it over by the self checkout and I hear her say loudly "ARE YOU SHITTING ME, A RAZOR BLADE?" Not appropriate for customers to hear. Looks like it will be another long while before I step foot in one of these stores again. Target only. read more

I was actually having a problem with a guy at the store following me around and I was just a teen girl there alone so I asked for help and the staff was AMAZING, soo nice, and made sure I got to my car safe and left safe and sound. So happy to know they watch for things like that!:) read more

For the most part this is your standard Walmart Supercenter. Brightly lit, pretty clean, and they have a fairly decent Subway (see my review on that subway). I was just a little disappointed that the selection left a little to be desired. There were 2 different items that I wanted that they were out of. Also, when I was there some of those brightly lit lights were flickering. You'd thing that they would get somebody in there and fix that fast. I wasn't the only one that noticed that, and I was more than just a little concerned. And the worse part of my shopping experience was paying. It just seems totally crazy that they have like 30 check-out lines and only 2 of them are open. I would say by all means go there, but don't expect the best. read more

This is a review for the Walmart in Martinsville, Indiana. Walmart really needs to step up its game when it comes to the warm bodies they hire. The management needs employees to screen the calls. Why??? A person should be able to speak to a manager at anytime. You definitely don't want to go in this store if you can count on more than one hand. If you can walk and chew gum, stay out. The management should not even be called managers. They have employees do their job for them. Definitely be careful when you purchase items from this store. If you put them in your cart to pay, they ask if you paid for them yet. Putting a gallon of milk in your cart and granny gets slammed against the milk bins because she hasn't paid for the milk yet. Some of the employees walk around like extras from the walking dead. Phone in their hand and earbuds holding their head upright. Pathetic. The store is trashy. The management are thieves and morons. The only nice thing that can be said about Walmart #1356 in Martinsville, Indiana, is that it can provide a great service to people. The management is just too wrapped up in putting down its employees. They LOVE harassing the hard workers and let the laziness slide. Especially the FRONT END management. read more

I am just telling everyone that this Walmart is by far the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I live 30 miles from this location and it is the closest to me unfortunately. I have had multiple issues at this location, but today was it I will NEVER return to this store. My 1st major issue was about 6 weeks ago when I stood and waited 15 mins at their jewerly country for a $12 pair of earrings that were in a case. I literally had to call the store and ask for the Manager. After 3 pages I had a employee show up with no I am sorry for your wait NOTHING, rudely tell me that there is nobody scheduled for that department on Wednesday morning. It's 1030am and how is that my fault to be treated rudely. So after 11 mins the Manager Finally gets on the phone and then she comes to the counter to meet me by then the rude employee walked off without a bye, sorry, have a nice day Anything. Then today....I am shopping for a few things and minding my own business went to turn down an aisle and the guy with a dust mop comes right up on me, I say Excuse me and very rudely he proceeds to Not stop and tells me "I am not in a hurry or nothing!" Well I look at him and say, " Neither am I SmartAss!" On top of all the rude cashiers that barely speak a word and then the ones that really don't say anything, I Am Done! The next closest Walmart to me is 45 mins and I will Gladly go to that one. Please Do Not Shop at the Martinsville Walmart!!!!!! read more

My review is based on the automobile service department only. I had an amazing experience with the workers. A mechanic took extra time to take a look at my car and talk to me about the problem. He then fixed (what was another company's) mistake. All of the employees were very professional and actually took the time to make sure I understood what was going on with my car before they worked on it. The wait time was a lot shorter than I thought it would be, as well. read more
