I visited Lawton, OK for a graduation and unfortunately didn't feel very welcomed. I had to stop by Walmart to get a couple items I forgot to pack with me. At this store, I went to the beauty aisle and tried to get assistance, but the employee ignored me and helped someone else first. When I got to the register, she finally assisted me but did so with a noticeably unfriendly attitude. I don't expect exceptional customer service, but a simple smile or basic acknowledgment goes a long way. I remained polite, but the experience left a negative impression. read more

this Walmart has definitely stepped it up. There's nobody begging out in a parking lot like they used to have so they're gone and that's great. One of the reasons I didn't shop at the store before cause I didn't feel safe walking yo the door. The store was abundantly stocked with everything that I needed to get in and out.. the store shut up is a little different than some of the other stores I've been to, but conveniently stocked that was another thing I used to be clean and now it would seem pretty clean there wasn't boxes all over like I've seen before and it was picked up and organized. People hate this store. Call it the ghetto Wal mart. I like it. Some of their prices are different from the one on 67th. Easy to find what you want. Pretty good deli The downside is finding workers. But they aren't trained to help but stock. If management would do 180 and train them customer first this would be a great store. I used self checkout, paid, forgot my items. Came back, went to Customer Service with my reciept. Waited maybe 4 minutes while they reviewed cameras and saw that I walked out empty handed. Got my replacement and done. Polite and fast, thank you so much! read more

Like it but hated. Co workers are rude at some.point and managers don't even care for the position their in. Other words i would go to quanna parker trailway but its to far from my house you have to deal with it no matter how bad the situation is, plus scam and thefts are there occasionally especially drug addict and drunk people too. Especially when it comes to parking spaces and cameras on the parking lot security doesn't seem to care about what you doing even someone tries to rob or scam you in the parking lot. Try to enter store. My wife needs a electric buggy. She sees one and starts to head for it and a Walmart greeter in a yellow vest named Lola said that one was reserved for someone else. I asked her politely to ask for another one and she ignored us and continued to put stickers on some other ladys bags. I said after a couple minutes we were leaving and asked my wife for the Walmart greeters name on the way out. Yep - another Walmart. There are two Walmart Supercenters in Lawton. I agree w/ the other Yelpers - the WM on Quannah Parker Trail is "nicer". The Sheridan Rd. Walmart is always busy and the building is older. My beef w/ this store is the lines are always long and there never seems to be enough cashiers. read more

Only reason this store is getting 3 stars is because I wouldn't want to shop here regularly. Unfortunately people were fighting in the parking lot right in front of the store and bassing car stereos. So not so sure it made a great impression. Our first impression was good because we came during a big storm and tornado warning so almost nobody was there. It is a hard sell to get me to shop at this store, you know it is bad when employees inside the store refer to the location as the Ghetto Walmart, implying that it is of lesser value than that of the other store in Lawton. I agree with the statements of the employees this time. From the parking lot, this location does not feel the safest, with the occasional criminal or vagrant element hanging about to make a quick buck, but the parking lot does not seem very clean, maintained or even well lit at night. The lighting may be just a case of the store trying to save money or conserver energy, but I would say as a customer I would feel safer walking in a well lit parking area. The entry area seems cramped for space where the carts are, and the people flow into the store. When you get a cart, they seem to be in disrepair, and most times I find they have scum buildup on the handles, and even the child seat that is built in. The store has several areas that could use help, but the help hired does not seem interested in maintaining the store, the Walmart image you see on tv, or the area they work in. I feel I could get bed bugs, scabies, or an unlimited list of other possible diseases in this store when I look around. Management of the store seems disconnected from the day to day operation, as I have filed complaints with them over the conditions of certain things but, they say they just can not fix it. First off, I have to bring a few facts to the attention of the general public. For reasons unknown and without inserting any unnecessary conspiracy; it has come to my observation that Walmart is missing some specific items found elsewhere. Grape Nuts Flakes are nowhere to be found in the business chain. No trace of refrigerated tuna salad of any brand. No American Dad discs at all. I am not sure why these products are not in stock but there has to be a story behind their absence. Also, they have a wall of DVDs/Blu-ray. The moronic reality is that they are not alphabetized in either Lawton location. I believe the lack of common educational skills and the traumatic, emotional triggering of organization trumps the customer's shopping convenience here. Honestly, it seems like the stocking drones know nothing of the departments in which they work. Employees are constantly on their cells, especially in the electronics department. Walmart is focused on filling shelves while the service and technical interaction abilities of the employees dwindle. I know the stores have their problems, the biggest issue being loss prevention and the scamming in the parking lots. But there is no reason to add to injury by ignoring employee issues that affect the customer. read more

Took my ring in (that I received for Christmas) for sizing on December 27. It had a return date of January 15. I understood that Covid was playing a part of how long it took to get my ring back. I went in today (January 25) to check on it. It wasn't back. I asked if they could trace it to find out how much longer it would be. I was told the associate for that department was not in yet but they took my name and number to have her call me. The associate called me later that afternoon, we discussed possibilities about my rings location as it still showed as shipping. (This associate was not one of the 4 people that it took to get my ring ready to go out). Then I mentioned that they had to get a manager to open the safe, as no one there could at that time. He came and opened the safe and my ring was placed inside. I was told it would go out the next day. The associate was shocked, as items are not normally stored in there for shipping, she had to get a manager to open the safe and guess what they found.....my ring still waiting to be shipped a month later. Had I not mentioned the safe, no telling how long it would have been in there. To say I was displeased is an understatement! I refunded the ring, as I did not want to deal with this any longer. This was extremely poor customer service! Although they did give me a $25 gift card for my trouble...as if! read more

Definitely appropriately deemed the "ghetto walmart". Carts are all broken, there's a million registers but when they're swamped there's typically only 4-5 of them open. Nothing is where it should be and they're always out of crap. Avoid this walmart and go to 67th walmart when possible!!!! This is a decent Walmart it has the essential things you expect for from a Walmart. I came in for a thumb drive, and I picked one up. Unfortunately, the thumb drive I got was a dud. I had to return the drive and pick up another one the next day. The return process was very easy with my receipt and the cashier was very nice. read more

I recently went to this Wal-Mart looking for a coffeemaker. When I found one I was interested in I could not find one on the shelves and all I saw was the display model so I first stopped a male employee named Jeremy and asked him if there were any more in the back and if not could I buy the display model. He said let me look in the back and see if I can find someone to help you and he walked off. Well, about 10 minutes later two female employees named Candice and Victoria came walking by and I stopped them and asked them the same thing.Candice said "naw,nope I ain't gonna sell you dis here display" and walked off and then Victoria said " I don't know but Imma bout to go check out me some make-up" and walked off to the make-up aisle.As they were walking off Jeremy came walking up the aisle pulling a pallet jack (30 minutes later) and looked over at me and said "wasn't nobody in the back" and walked off around the corner.I have never felt so humiliated and dismissed in my life and because of the terrible service I received there I nor my family will shop Wal-Mart again.It looks like we are a K-Mart family now. read more

First of all, the ONLY reason it is getting one star is that you have to give it a rating to have your review post. Now, this is a pathetic store. The store is not very clean and always very disorganized. The shopping cart are awful. From missing parts to wheels that have chunks missing off the wheels. Trying to find something in this store is pretty pathetic as well. A lot of the time the shelves are empty of the food items I come for. Ask someone for help and they look at you like either you are putting them out or they don't understand the english language. The checkout lines are a total joke. They have all those registers and only a minimal amount of cashiers manning them. Seems they want the consumer's money, but they seem to think it is okay to make a consumer wait for quite a long time to check out. The management needs to take a look at many things in this store and change them. But I am sure the manager of the store gets a nice bonus monthly if he can keep his overhead down. I was in town from Dallas for Memorial Day and needed some things. Based on previous reviews, they must have undergone some major adjustments in both attitude and environment. I was there about 9:30 in the evening and found everyone helpful. I had to ask where some items were in that store. It was verrrry clean. The only two hiccups were that they were stripping the floor in the produce and frozen food sections after 10:00 pm so that was being closed. In so doing, we had to exit out near the pharmacy which was further away from my car. There was a security guard right there watching folks to the car. It did not feel ghetto at all. Got my Dole Salad Kit, a standup cosmetic mirror which I had forgotten and went back a couple more times during my stay. I also went to the one on Quanah Parker and did not find it THAT MUCH better than Sheridan. I guess maybe it was in a better part of town but not near the Candlelit Suites. Oh, I just think they should have done the stripping PRIOR to Memorial Day weekend. read more
