Solid experience at Walmart in Largo overall. The store had everything we needed and it was easy to find most items without too much searching. Shelves were pretty well stocked and prices were what you expect, which is always a plus. It did get a little crowded while we were there and checkout took a bit longer than I would have liked, but nothing too crazy. Staff was helpful when we had a quick question and pointed us in the right direction. Store was fairly clean and organized for how busy it was. Not perfect, but definitely a reliable stop when you need to grab a bunch of things in one trip. read more

Went to Walmart today to get different things for a party and I got a couple different things like decorations and food and stuff and when I went to check out, one of the items did not match what the price tag because the shelf had a bunch of different prices so I told him the cheapest tag that was there and they went to go look and I followed them and told the person I was with to stay with the stuff and I watched them switch the tag and say that that's what the tag said before when I clearly watched them switch it so I just paid for my stuff and left the lady that came to help in the beginning was very rude and kept mumbling under her breath basically saying doing all this for a couple cent difference but money these days counts and it's very rude to say stuff under your breath definitely not going back to this Walmart do better Walmart read more

I'm just as down on this place as ever I have been. I still feel like I need a bath every time I walk out of here, but it's almost like having a bad habit. You go, get your stuff cheaper than anywhere else, you hope you don't get robbed, and you go home. I had to pick up several odds and ends for my Dear Mother. This was pretty much the best option I had unless I wanted to go to 2 or 3 other places in a row. As it is a Saturday the store was filled with the polar opposite of America's Best & Brightest. The second star is for a combo of value for one's dollar and improved sense of self worth as a result of today's visit. The checkout lines were horridly long, so the Queen Bee and I actually stood at self checkout. It's against her principles to use self checkout as a rule. We just wanted to GTFO without having to wait in a 25-minute line for a few food products and a economy size bottle of lotion. Our time is more valuable than simply standing in a long line. At any rate, if you like pretty much anything under the sun for cheap prices, then have at it, but do so at your own peril. All the run of the mill national brands of food are here in the grocery section: mediocrity by economies of scale! Same is true of clothing, home goods, beauty supplies and everything betwixt and beyond. Here's the one bright spot in all this gloom...they offer delivery too! read more

My husband and I purchased a sofa on Walmart's website and when we got it assembled we found the fabric already splitting at the seams and a hole in the fabric on the leg. Used it one day and the reclining back broke and the pull out for the bed would not stay in place. Contacted Walmart.com's chat advised I could return to any store and I advised I didn't have the original packaging. Anyway it won't fit after assembly. We got an email advising to return to ANY Walmart and no packaging needed. Well my husband and I are in our 50's so we could not return right away because of the weight of the sofa. So, we finally got part of the sofa in our SUV and was told we could return to FedEx. Got the return label took it to the closest location they said they cannot take it unpackaged unless we wanted to pay them to pack it. Contacted Walmart.com's chat advising says to return to any Walmart and no packaging needed. Went to the Ulmerton store they advised they cannot take the return because they are a market place. So, we went to the super center at Roosevelt. My husband went in showed them the picture of the item they called over a supervisor name August he says cannot accept because not packaged. He advised we have been told multiple times we didn't have to pack it up. My husband did get upset of the attitude from August and told him we will leave the sofa outside and dispute with our bank. He came to the car so I pulled up the email from Walmart and went back in. They immediately contacted security and asked us to leave. My husband asked why and he said to August they have been rude and just pointed at him. He immediately called over Debi another supervisor and asked us to leave and I stated will you just read the email. They refused and said if we don't leave they will call the Largo police and have us permanently removed from that store. What the hell. Just trying to return a defective product and I even tried working with the seller overseas but, never got a response. We just moved to this area and if this is the treatment we will get from this location we will not be back. We even filed a complaint with corporate and they said they will look into this and we never heard back. It's been over a week. My husband called to check on the status and says it was closed. I hate shopping here because the staff is so rude. I only shop here becausr I don't have a car and it's close to my house. It's a bad experience just about every time I go there. Last night a bottle of nail polish got knocked off the ledge where you put your items at the self check out even I picked up an item to scan it and hit the floor and broke. This young girl that was working comes over and instead of just cleaning it up she goes off in this trade about how there is broken glass everywhere, how it had to happen right at closing time, saying that the polish is never going to come up of off the floor....I apologized and said it was an accident but she just kept going on and on about it. UT could have been wiped up and over with twice in the time she stood there bitching ana going off on me like it was the end of the world and nothing ever gets broken, dropped or spilled in the store. Totally uncalled for and rude as hell. Just one more reason why I hate shopping there.... they all act like they hate their customers. They start bitching at you to get out half an hour before they close and about every five minutes after that until closing. It's unnerving and stressful to have to shop with someone yelling at you over the PA system rushing you to get out. It's like the employees don't want to be there one minute past closing time because they are as miserable as they make their customers who bother them by trying to spend their money there... even if that's how they feel they shouldn't be so obvious about it. read more

I hate Walmart in general -- nothing against this location and don't come to this Walmart anymore but did when I used to work in the Clearwater area because it was close to work . This Walmart was on the nicer side when originally built but has gone downhill probably based on the location. They never have enough checkout lines open and lines are always backed up no matter what time you go. We stopped into here tonight for a quick run to get some items while in the area since it was on our way but typically I would rather go to other places and pay more just to avoid having to deal with Walmart and the typical crowd despite which one you go to. Awful that I feel this way about a store but I try to avoid Walmart at all costs LOL. Have to also be careful when ordering stuff from Walmart.com as they treat their returns from their online presence different and will deduct the cost of shipping from the return that you're making. I hate Walmart. Not just this Walmart, all of them. So this review may be slightly skewed by personal preference. I just find that the staff grudgingly assist only after you hunt someone down and force them to. If they see you looking lost or confused, they usually try to avoid eye contact or even disappear. I usually only go to Walmart when I need something I can't find elsewhere or if all those "elsewheres" happen to be closed. This Walmart is small. They have a much smaller selection compared to the nearby super center in Pinellas Park. They don't have a Garden Center either. Self checkout closes after 10pm and they only had 2 registers open. This Walmart has not aged well. I've been stopping in for random quick buys on the way home for the past couple of years now. The only thing is that quick buys are in short supply at this location. I've always had to wait in line to check-out, whether the dead of night or in the middle of the day. They have self-checkout lanes partitioned in the front of the store but they always seem to be closed off. Selection isn't bad for a Walmart, but it feels considerably more cramped than the Walmart farther south on US 19 in Pinellas Park. Like most Walmarts, the shelves are messy and the prices aren't always marked. Customer service is next to non-existent but overall interactions with associates is pleasant enough. They are obviously overworked though, hopefully staffing could be increased. read more

We've stopped by here several times since it's recent opening. Firstly, I don't know who designed their parking lot but BEWARE! To say that it's counter-intuitive would be an understatement. The store itself is huge. The aisles are very narrow, especially in the housewares section. On my last two visits, the frozen foods section was only 30% stocked, if that. I'm sure that they're just getting their sea legs from the opening but this is the world's largest retailer and you would expect them, if anyone, to hit the ground running. It's clean, it's big, the employees smile and ask if they can help you, kinda nice really. I can only hope the "newness" doesn't fade too fast. I had a very bad experience at this store on Sunday 2/18/18 4:30PM at the Customer Service Desk when I tried to return some Kibbles and Bits Wet dog food which has "Smucker's said Wednesday that it is voluntarily recalling some of its products after the FDA found a euthanasia drug in them" the store associate scanned the dog food and told me they did not carry the item yet this is where I purchased it and told me to try a bigger Walmart Store I asked to speak to the store manager but was refused. I also called the 800 customer service number and they did not offer to have it investigated. I feel these associates have little to no compassion considering the substance in the dog food could be possibly fatal. And if there is a recall I am sure the manufacturer would reimburse Walmart. The following is from the recall notice from the manufacturer "Smucker's said Wednesday that it is voluntarily recalling some of its products after the FDA found a euthanasia drug in them. The company said tests found pentobarbital in "extremely low levels" in several products under the brands Kibbles 'N Bits and Gravy Train. Pentobarbital is a drug is commonly used to euthanize animals, according to WNDU. Smucker's said the levels detected are not dangerous and do not pose any threat to the safety of pets, but apologized and issued a recall "out of an abundance of caution." "The presence of this substance at any level is not acceptable to us and not up to our quality standards," the company said. If I had know it was going to cost me a full after noon to sent money store to store I would have used Wester Union. The Wallmart people were not the problem, it was RIA Financial Services, not only did I have a problem with them but customer before me had a similar issue, i.e. transaction was put on hold/ canceled. Did not find out about problem until recipient could not get the money for no reason just the store did no have the funds. Two days before Thanksgiving and you have 5 cashiers open and one cashier at the customer service desk. Way to go Walmart

This was the first time I used same day pick up and what a horrible experience. I preordered items for my sons birthday, goodie bags, candy, toys, table cloths you name it. All of my items were ready except a big bag of candy. The item is on the shelf. Walmart.com said my candy item was delayed and would be ready after 6pm. So I get there at 7:30, 30 minutes before site to store closes; all of my items are ready. When I check the bag the candy was not in it. So I ask the clerk, he pulls my order up and it's missing the candy. They get a manager, the manager reads my emails... sees the candy was ordered and shows delayed. I told him the candy is on the shelf l, why can't I have it? He smirked and said he can't release the candy to me until Walmart sends him the order pick up email. BUT THE CANDY I PAID FOR IS ON THE SHELF. So I got upset and tried to explain that, he told me to cal down so I left. While we were walking out he followed my boyfriend and I all the way to our car to watch us leave. So why would I ever use this service again when I can just go to Walmart and have a hard time by myself. Way to make me happy for shopping there for my sons birthday! read more

Brand new walmart just opened in the largo area. The store is bigger than most neighborhood markets and was pretty clean. That's where the good stops. It really irks me when managers and associates don't know their own coupon policy. I always coupon within policy limits and do not try to do anything unethical. I came here last night for the first time trying to do a bit of couponing and the cashier and manager were totally clueless. They denied me even though I was following the policy. They refused to follow their own rules. They acted like I was doing something wrong. The cashier said "Ma'am, you're trying to do things in a way they aren't meant to be done". Yet again another Wal-Mart that opened in the same day. This one is just off of 19 and Roosevelt and a bit tucked back but this Wal-Mart is massive! The parking lot is huge so you should be able to find a spot on those busy weekends to come! The staff is nice here also and again it is a brand new location so everything is nicely organized like it should be. Enjoy it while it last. Plenty of staff on board right now but that is like any new retail store that goes up. Avoid this store at all costs. It is the worst run Walmart in the world. Hair in food from deli. No plastic utensils or napkins available for food from hot line. It is a miracle if their is hot food ready at lunch time. There are regularly stock carts completely blocking aisles. They do not enforce the 20 items or less on the self checkout lines. At lunch time today, they were down one register to start and 2 registers had people with entire shopping carts full of groceries. AT LUNCH TIME. I wasted my entire lunch break and still had not checked out so I left. I will be doing without lunch today. Inconvenient unless you drive yourself everywhere. Cannot call in prescriptions. No other options other than hiring a ride, going, sending the ride away so you can sit there and WAIT for the prescription in an uncomfortable environment, and then when they finally fill your order, call AGAIN for a ride and do more waiting. The cashier wasn't very kind and pleasant as I thought she would be. Whenever I went too collect the bags, she would tell me that they weren't finished yet. What does that mean? You have successfully put the items into a bag and moved to a different bag. I was not only aghast, but shocked. There was a sign behind her that clearly stated that she needed to smile. A nice decent 24 hour Walmart you can visit. If you are a night owl like me and prefer to do your shopping around 3 am, you should definitely come to this Walmart. At this time there isn't much people around. So you can stroll down all the isles if you wish and no need to be stuck in lines. This is one of my favorite Walmarts to go to. They offer money gram, money orders, walmart to walmart, and even express money gram payments for reasonable prices. There is also a Subway inside of you need to kill 2 birds with 1 stone ;) read more
