Place seems better organized than the 163rd and Miami Gardens locations, but if you don't speak Spanish, good luck asking questions. Severely disappointed that the 2nd week of November they have already gotten rid of their Thanksgiving merchandise to make way for Christmas. Be advised, this place is a total $#!%-show. Only go if this is your last resort: i.e. if you can't afford anything better, you're on a budget, or everything else is closed. It's in a constant state of disorganization. If you're looking for something specific, I'd suggest just wandering around and looking for it as asking anyone will waste your time and often incur their contempt, if not yours. Finally, by no means should you ever call this store to find out if they have a product. It's like being stuck in a version of "Who's on First?" and The Twilight Zone at the same time. After being transferred from department to department as the employees try their best to do the bare minimum of effort, and after being hung up on repeatedly, you will ultimately be given an "I don't know" for your trouble. I think it is safe to say that this Wal-Mart should be recognized as the most well-functioning Walmart in Miami. They have self check-out counters and are open 24 hours. So if it is midnight and you want to go grocery shopping, come here. I do it all the time, and it's really relaxing. read more

TL;DR Managers and associates don't know what they're doing and they try to make customers feel bad for making them do their job. Terrible, I call to ask a simple question "Do you have a redbox and if you do, do you have the movie Deadpool?" The lady on the phone didn't know what that was and told me to wait. Alright, fair enough. But it took 20 MINUTES, and not 20 minutes to get an answer but 20 mins till they hung up (I know they hung up because I was in one place and there is no way it could've dropped). So I call again and they told me to hold, 10 mins have gone by and they ask me to hold again, so I call on my friend's phone who is equally as annoyed. By now we're fed up and want to speak to a manager. Someone picked up on my friends phone, we asked to speak to a manager and they put us on hold for a bit. Then I got a manager on my phone, he asked what the problem was and I told him I've been on the phone for too long to get an answer for a simple question so I asked him if there was a redbox with Deadpool, he said they did have a redbox but he didn't know if the movie was there and he didn't know what I wanted him to do... I told him to go check. Really? I go on hold. At the same time they transferred my friend to customer services (not the manager like we asked). So she asked for the manager, another manager goes on and she explains the issue. This manager says she knows there's a redbox but is not sure if the movie is on there, alright, we ask her to check. She says "oh you're going to make me walk across the store and walk all the way back to check for a movie, that's going to take a while." You mean we're asking you to do something that's part of your job, right? Then the manager I was on came back and said "no we don't have the movie but I'm doing this as a courtesy, you're supposed to come over and see for yourself" I promise you that's exactly what he said. No. THIS IS PART OF YOUR JOB. If I have to go over to find something in the store by myself then why is there customer service? Do yourself a favor and pay a little more and go to Target. read more

Run for your life...I went here late on a Saturday night thinking it wouldn't be so bad. I was wrong. The prices are great but I will never return. The staff is unfriendly and it's nearly impossible to walk down an aisle without getting stuck behind someone. It's literally like trying to drive down Kendall Drive during rush hour; I think that's the best comparison I can make. Don't go here if you have anxiety or are claustrophobic. Very bad customer service. Cashier near the toys section finished a trantransaction and continued to engage in a lengthy conversation with the customer ahead of me. He completely ignored me did not even look my way to see what I needed. I politely waited and Waited on them as they continued the conversation. Then after about seven minutes he looked at me briefly , then back at the person he was conversing with. If I did not ask a question he would've continued his conversation. I waited there the entire time only to find out that I needed to go all the way to the front to have my item returned. The returns section seemed to be more efficient and I was able to conduct my transaction quickly. Unfortunately very few people in the store speak English so it is incredibly difficult to find a product because no one understands English and can help me find what I need in a quick manner. This store certainly does not help me to locate and obtain items in an efficient manner. A total waste of time. read more

Hey the prices is what I go for. I understand its walmart so don't expect fine dining.. I am okay with the affordable prices. Staff is helpful - if you can find them, even though sometimes they don't always know the answer to your question. !!!!!!!**BEWARE**!!!!!!!!!! This is my local Walmart store and today (Christmas eve) I had the worse shopping experience possible. I went to the store to purchase a last minute gift for my daughter, when It was time to pay for the item I noticed the box was severely damaged in the rear section. Since this was the last unit in stock I requested for a manager to see and help the cashier with the pricing, the box did not have a damaged box sticker. As I'm waiting for the manager to arrive I started to look at other online retailers to compare pricing and noticed target had the same exact item for $39.99 cheaper. Once the Assistant store manager arrived I asked her to please provide me more information around Walmart's price match policy. Her hair was covering her name tag and when I asked she did not provide me her name but it's something similar to "Arlene or Adelen" which is what I thought I heard when the cashier called Over the PA system. This was her answer to my question in exact words; "The policy recently changed before December and now we are only price matching Walmart.com, not any other retailers or websites." I got on my smart phone and Googled "Walmart's price match policy". I called the managers attention and explained to her what I saw on Walmart.com, which It was the following; "Walmart.com is committed to providing low prices every day, on everything.* So if you find a lower price from an online retailer on an identical, in-stock product, tell us and we'll match it.* Additionally, if you recently bought something from Walmart.com and it is now listed at a lower price, let us know." She then shouted " Maybe we have yet to update the website. Sometimes these things happen and if you want I can go print you out our policy!". I paid for the item and left the store as I tried to avoid any more confrontation and embarrassment. As a Director of E-Commerce for a Multi- Million Dollar Electronics company AND ALSO an AUTHORIZED WALMART.COM SELLER, I am very aware that this not the type of customer service Doug McMillon ( CEO ) wants out of his store level managers. It's very frustrating to know that my 78 year old father constantly shops at this location on a weekly basis and I would detest to see him to go thru such a terrible situation like I did with out being able to defend himself. I've now escalated this situation to Walmart.com and to other important contacts I have within Walmart's corporate team. Everytime I come here, which is not often, I feel sick after 15 minutes of shopping. The air is supposedly on but doesn't feel like it. There are way too many people in that store. The AC should be at full blast and the doors on the garden section shoukd not be open to let tge heat in. I spoke to several employees and asked hiw could they work in those conditions. One lady said they complain all the time but nothing is done about it. So I went to the manager and asked her about the air. Ahe simply said sorry and that it was on. She didn't seem to care much. Are people in this store alive or are their brain cells fighting one another!! Without fail, every time I ask an employee for help, first I have to be re directed to the next 2 to find someone that speaks English, then hope they have a clue. Today, while in the shoe dept. I asked an employee for a shoe horn. She directed me to the House Goods section? Exactly. So to entertain myself I went looking for a shoe horn in House Goods. Not long did I return to the shoe section and find it. Now to the pharmacy to get my mothers blood test strips. First employee did not understand my request in English so an interpreter assisted. I was told they are in the isle to which she pointed. Of course they are not there. I approached a woman wearing a manager tag, pharmacy manager tag I might add, and again asked for the strips. She tells me they are behind the counter and I had to wait back on line. So I give her my story about how the 2 women behind that counter just sent me to the isle since strips, according to them, were not there. She didn't seem to care and neither do I. Went to the store on 9/2/2016 bought around $200 worth of items. As soon as I payed for all of it something happen to the computer, so the cashier said to wait a minute that minute took 10 minutes for what I thought was the manager to show up, it was a rude lady and she said to hold a second that second took another 10 minutes for her to go to the office. She came back and said sorry but the money was not posted,I checked my mobile up and shoes her that the $200 was taken out of my account she respond it don't matter this happen here everyday it just happened on line 4. She told me to wait while she get the manager. Long story short I waisted 45 minutes they had to rescan every item back after every item was in the bag, my account was charged twice and they said I have to wait till the next day to get my money back. What hurt the most is that the people didn't care or tried to say sorry or anything it's a cmon practice for them and I should have to deal with it. I purchased 2 $20.00 gift cards, one of which was not recognized by their system. When I arrived the following day to inquire about getting the $20 dollars I paid back since one of the cards was essentially null and void, the manager was extremely rude and demeaning stating that nothing could be done without the card that I paid for, used, and threw away after using it. I know people that work retail and I know that if you have a receipt showing BOTH UPC's are the same there would be no problem in refunding me my money. I was basically being charged for the same card twice, and was basically being told that I could not get back the money that went to waste. I contacted Nuntendo and they managed to handle the problem almost instantly, and even told me the excuse the manager was giving me was a poor excuse for someone not wanting to do their job. They never have enough registers open. All the employees are like 45+ and hispanic that dont know english (im hispanic) and whenever you ask them where something this they will either ONE: not know what youre saying unless you speak spanish or TWO: not know and have to ask some other employee and then lead you to the wrong place. For some reason i always feel like things here are of such low quality no matter what brand- and word of advice- dont. Dont. Dont. Ever Eat anything from the pastelitos/ donuts/ brownies area. Theyre in clear plastic casing that arent monitored. ive seen flies in there and also people/kids grab that food with their bare hands. Also for some ANNOYING reason this Walmart desides to bring out huge carts of boxes when the place is packed already and they block the whole freaking aisles and walkways and start unboxing.
