Just went to the makeup department. They have a good variety of makeup depending on what you're looking for. The cashier for that department was super kind and helpful. Only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because one of the eyeliner and another item wasn't being accepted by the scanner when scanned saying object was not available. I have gone to this Walmart several times. When it comes to prices they are very low. This chain has excellent products and a variety of selections. The bad part of this store is that it is usually very full. Even if you go in the early morning or late night there will always be a bunch of people. I highly recommend this store if you are on a budget and looking for some good quality products. But if you are in a hurry do you expect to be in a line to pay for quite a while. Unfortunately they have removed the live fish from the pet section, but you can still find a variety of pet an animal products to keep your furry friends happy. The staff is also very helpful with any needs that you have. Customer service has always been great in my experience especially the return counter. I always go to this Walmart because of the convenience of its location. If it weren't for that, I would most definitely go somewhere else. I don't even know where to start with all the things wrong. Actually, a good one would be the customer service. I've gone there enough times to know where everything is (and having to find it myself because apparently Walmart employees don't know where any of the stuff is) but there's been instances where I do have to ask where something is when I can't find it because the store is either too messy, things are placed in the wrong aisles/sections, or they want to keep you in there by placing aisles like a maze. I was looking for a fruit peeler, but the ones that peel the fruit like noodles. Like when you go to the mall and there's the mango stands that sell the mango and it's delicious and less of a mess. I wanted to get it for my mom because she's prone to headaches and migraines so when she chews the mangoes, especially the one with the hard peel, she has to stop because she knows she'll be in pain. I looked on Walmart.com and there was one on the website, to my surprise, so I immediately went to the physical store. Once I got there, I frantically searched for it but couldn't find it. I REALLY don't like talking to the Walmart employees because they've always given me attitude, and as someone that is super shy, I try my best to avoid even looking their way. But I couldn't find the damn thing, so I looked for an employee. I went through several sections and couldn't find a single employee to help me, and even when I did, they were attending other people. I finally found this one old woman who seemed to be restocking the supplies and checking them. I asked her, "Excuse me, sorry to bother you, but do you guys have this?" She gave me this weird face and said "Eh??" She only spoke Spanish and I apologized and repeated it to her in Spanish. She got upset for some reason and told me that the physical store and the website are two completely different things and that stupid people don't know that so she has to clarify. I just walked away because I was baffled by her immense attitude and smugness. This is what Walmart is hiring. Seriously? I visited my local WalMart store today, located at 15885 SW 88TH Street, Miami, Florida 33196. I literally live less than a minute from this WalMart location and my family and I have been loyal customers to this establishment since the first day it opened. We have been living in the same exact location for the past 26 years or so. My boyfriend and I have recently set up a freshwater aquarium in our home. Today we went to this WalMart to purchase a few items that we needed for our new aquarium. First off, we needed a yard of felt fabric. We brought the fabric that we needed to the table where the employee who is assigned of cutting different fabrics is supposed to attend to us. She was ducking down on the table screaming to whoever she was talking to on her cell phone about her dinner order while she was cutting our fabric. She stayed ducking down on the table screaming into her cell phone for about a minute. Then, another employee assigned to a different section came to her and they remained whispering about gossip behind the table as she was attending to us. After, we passed by the fish section and decided to purchase some fish. There was no one in that section to attend to us. I called that WalMart and pressed "0" and spoke to someone who was working and let them know that I was currently in the fish section and needed assistance. She said that she would send someone over. This occurred at approximately 7:04 PM. We stayed waiting for an employee to arrive right in front of the fish section. Within that time, literally, about 8 employees passed by us and each and every time we let them know what it was that we needed and no one took it upon themselves to help us out. Some employees even informed other employees that were a bit further from us, but in watching distance, that we needed assistance and those other employees just went about their own business and acted like we weren't even there. By the time we knew it, it was 7:30 PM and no one had come to help us. A "Support Manager" showed up and said he would attend us, I informed him of what had occurred, and he didn't seem to care. Shortly after a woman employee showed up with a nasty demenour and attended to us. No one offered an apology or even a discount for our time and hardship. My last and most severe concern is that in one of the fish tanks they had about 20 Cyclids and 4 Plecos in the same tank. Anyone who knows about fish knows that Cyclids are very aggressive and territorial fish. The Plecos were all bitten up and even missing their own eyes. It was a horrible experience and I simply hope that with this review WalMart can train their employees better when it comes to attending to their customers and also that they can become better informed of the species of fish that they have for sale so that they don't put other fish in harms way by putting them in tanks with very aggressive fish that will ultimately eat them and torture them. So. I ordered the bike again and this time decided to have it delivered to the Doral location. The bike took a little longer than the last time to arrive but arrived nonetheless, except it arrived back at the Kendall location instead of the Doral locaiton. I don't even know how that mix up occured, but let's just say it gave me a lot of driving to do. When I arrived back at the Kendall location they actually have the audacity to tell me that the bike hasn't arrived yet. I'm in shock because I wouldn't be there had I not recieved an email that said otherwise. Turns out the associate was too lazy to look at the boxes that were RIGHT IN FRONT of her and search for my name. I ask them if they'll assemble the bike and she tells me that they don't do assemblies for site to store orders. This store really needs to make up it's mind as to whether or not they like to assemble things. Oh, and I took the bike to my car by myself. Didn't ask me if I needed help getting it there. Look. These employees do not have a full understanding of what customer service is. I get that life is hard and customers are anal but when you look an associate straight in the eye and they pretend they didn't see you, you have to assume as a customer that you must not want to help me. I am not a fan of shopping here. Parking lot is always full, regardless of hour, and it feels as if people use said parking lot o practice learning how to drive/park. There are several items that I do buy here. I like the sales they have on make up, and also the prices of baby wipes (own brand). When my daughter was smaller, I also used to get walmart brand diapers here. All in all, avoid at all cost and only come for few items as needed. read more

So the renovations are over with, and the store is in much better shape. The new addition is that this is now a Super Walmart, meaning there are groceries. I have to admit, my grocery bill has taken a serious cut since shopping here. Instead of Publix prices, I would say I typically pay 20% less on my grocery bills. There's still a lot of coordination which needs to happen in terms of inventory. Walmart's just in time inventory here is usually running a few days late, because things are always running out of stock. If it's not the organic milk, or the frozen fish, then perhaps it's the $1 loafs of bread which are always raided. Regardless, it's worth the trip for mainline items, and then leave a smaller trip for Publix or Whole Foods. Outside of groceries, the rest of the store is well...Walmart. You can get lost for 30 minutes easily and hate yourself for it after buying $10 sandals you don't need. Also, since it's Miami, there is always, and I mean always, a crowd here. It's amazing how many seemingly normal people are shopping at 11PM. In conclusion, take a trip for groceries. Your bank account will thank you for it. read more

What are you expecting from this huge conglomerate? This is my take on it... Come here as a last resort. Why you ask? Maybe it's just me but each and every time I visit this place it's just a ridiculous amount of staff (who don't speak English, much needed since some times I don't know the Spanish names of things) cluttering the aisles. I realize things have to be shelved however are we forgetting the big picture here? Customers trying to get by and shop maybe... On my last visit we overheard a manager scolding her assistant on how at her previous store in GA everyone spoke English. It was quite an awkward site to witness not to mention the overall lack of professionalism we encountered throughout the store. Now the quality of these products unless its something you won't consume more than half the time you grab it looks roughed up in one way or another. It's not all bad though I've had a good experience with the meats (Ribeye, NY Strips) at Walmart as well as the produce just not the pre-packaged items. Then again do you really need these items that bad? I guess if its 11 or 12am and all other options are closed then I guess you have no choice just expect something of a circus without the Ringling Brothers. Good Luck to ya! read more

I shopped here once late at night while they were restocking. I was in the clothing section, and all of the boxes I saw (and I mean ALL of them) were made in China or Pakistan. This is simple math: Someone at the top of WalMart is exporting American dollars overseas. If you go to Walmart and expect the same experience as Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Publix or CVS you will be disappointed. It will be crowded, you wont find Organic, GMO-free items and many brands are generic. Is that bad? Not necessarily! Walmart is amazing for what it is, a place get the best possible deal. I have found countless things at Walmart that I could not find anywhere else, as well as deals that beat Amazon by up to 40% on some items. I would not recommend the produce or deli meats, but I have had no issues with pre-packaged food or items. Some of the employees are very helpful, others would rather you fall into a dark abyss. Two old Cuban gentlemen near the paint section were very helpful, hilarious and we spent nearly 10 minutes laughing and joking around - good times for sure. My suggestion is to show up, preferably not during grocery rush time (sunday, evenings 6-8), and walk around, explore and see what you can find. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Placed an in store order pickup. Received a text saying it was ready. Went to the store during store hours but the customer service department changed their hours of operation(7am-8pm). Went again the following day at 7am and they changed their hours of operation again! (8-8) I was having a hard time with the machine finding my order so I asked the customer service rep for help but was told she couldn't help me even though I was the only one there. Asked again and she just gave me attitude and walked away. Finally came back with the manager who also gave me attitude. Once they actually looked they saw the order was ready. NEVER again!! They have everything you want as well as everything you don't want. From long lines to rude people, you can find it all here. With that being said, the best time to come is 1 am or later. However, even that comes at a price. Sometimes there's only one register open in the whole establishment. The choice is really yours. You can bear the brunt to save a few bucks or avoid it all and pay more going elsewhere. Keep in mind that you will come for 3 things and leave with 10 if you aren't careful. It's a trap. I try to avoid shopping at Walmart at all cost. But recently my son needed to buy Equate antacids for a science project. Equate happens to be a Walmart brand. So I had no choice but to make the painful trip to Walmart. My shopping experience was a nightmare. To start, parking was a battle in itself. Good luck finding a parking space. The store is disorganized, dirty, and costumer service is non-existent. The check out lines are longer than the peak wait times at a Disney park. Ahhhhh Walmart..... what can I say? Yes, it's true, you save A LOT shopping at Walmart compared to shopping at Publix... but at the same time, you get what you pay for. Produce can't be good if you constantly have fruit fly's hovering over it all. Meats are poorly packaged and almost always leaking blood. And my personal favorite, Walmart Employees excellent bagging skills (insert sarcasm here). Not only are the employees at the registers very slow, nobody seems to speak English or even know what "pesto" is, let alone what aisle it's in, but I'm convinced there's a training manual for employees somewhere that instructs them to always place one item in the shopping bag so the shopper leaves the store with 50 bags of groceries. Really cool value on lots of things for the house & organic frozen dinners. Morningstar & Amy's frozen meals are well priced here. Publix has them almost $2 more per item. Unfortunately it's always too busy for me to want to shop here, but going midday proved to be fine This Monday. Lots of construction going on because it will become a super Walmart officially tomorrow. There's already a grocery section & pharmacy working, they are finishing construction on the produce area. Costumer service could be better but it's not terrible either. Definitely they have improved from what they used to be. They also will need many more cashiers as well as I can imagine how the market will draw more customers. I love the deals on house stuff like soap, cleaning items, medicine, etc I think that the rest unless it's their brand there's not such huge difference from Publix or Target. You have to be just educated & compare prices then see what's worth it for you & your family. read more

Once I was ready to pay I walked to a self checkout with a conveyor that appeared to be open due to the green light it display on top. As I was placing my items on the conveyor I heard a voice screaming HELLO HELLO HELLO HELLO. I didn't expect no one to be screaming at me that way so I pay no attention. Then I notice it was a representative (Ililiana) screaming like that approaching me and telling me with an attitude that those self checkouts were close and that I had to go to the smaller ones. My boyfriend and I were looking for such a random item that has been forgotten today: a puzzle. Yes, you read right. A puzzle. With all these kids running around with Iphones, Ipads, or anything basically starting with an 'I', children haven't been able to go old-school and go back to the basic toys. We weren't looking for a child's puzzle either but more of a grownup one and we were pleasantly surprised to find out not only do they have an ample selection of children's puzzles, but also for grownups. (We decided to go for the 1,000 piece puzzle of NYC). It was well organized and the price was below $10. It's a great idea for a family game night! read more

The drug store is OK. My Dentist just today call Walmart Drug and have two prescription ready in about 3 hours, no bad. True is a mad house in there but unfortunately some customers are abusive with the merchandise, (open boxes, move items from shelf ETC) I use it and yes I park by the end of the lot to avoid the crazy drivers that want to park inside the store. read more

There are never any employees around when you need them and when you do find one, surprise, they don'y know here things are or they tell you it has been ordered to keep you out of their hair, items have not been ordere trust me! Do not get your haircut in the Wal-Mart hair salon at this location...do not do it! Impossible to communicate with the all-Spanish speaking crew. Ladies quickly and sloppily cut both mine and my wife's hair and could not understand even the simplest instruction. We both left in disgust and was greeted in the parking lot with four shopping carts against our car.
