I am a spark driver for Walmart and I absolutely love the job and making extra money while driving my own vehicle with my own music and space but maaaaan the browns mill Walmart has THE WORST pick up service I've ever seen in this line of work, the past 3 days in a row I've come to this Walmart I say this because I'm currently sitting in spot 12 waiting on my pickup which will most likely get cancelled and I'll lose more money but 3 days in a row I've sat here for an hour and some and my deliveries have been cancelled because they take waaaay to long, this particular delivery I'm waiting for now is only 8 items and its been in packing up mode for literally an hour now and will be cancelled soon due to taking to long and I'll lose out on roughly 20 dollars and have wasted time with my family and gas in my vehicle just to be stiffed because apparently these workers are in no hurry to get pickup orders out, it's quite ridiculous and management should definitely do something about it because they are losing quite a bit of money because everyone keeps driving off because they take to long smh Walmart smh. read more

I visited this store while traveling to attend a nearby event. I decided I needed to pick up some material to use as some simple table covers. In the fabric department I found a nice design and had a young man cut the needed sizes. When he printed out a paper tape with the prices for me to take to the register, I noticed the prices were much higher than what the shelf price had noted. Turns out the bolt I had selected had been placed on the shelf in the wrong area. So it was either pay the higher price or leave the cut pieces behind, as the young man said he could not make any price adjustment. I took the fabric up to the service desk and asked to see a manager. A gal named Heather came out and I explained what had occurred and that the other employee had said there were no price adjustments. Heather said, "I'll take care of it", and immediately made the adjustment with no other questions asked. I thanked her. She told me it's easy to work with customers when they don't start the conversation by yelling at her as many people do. I told her I'd give her a nice review on Yelp. Sorry it has taken so long, as I misplaced my receipt onto which I'd written her name, but then just found it again this evening. Thanks again Heather! read more

This morning at 6:30am I needed to buy a $50.00 replacment Roku stick. As usual there was no one in the Electronics. A new young man offered to get a manager to help if he could find one. He told me they no longer have walkie talkies to use. About 8 minutes later a woman from the front office arrived looking pissed. I went over and asked if she could help me with finding the Roku stick so she did. It was locked up which I understand why. She then started complaining that I had interrupted her in the middle of her performing an audit. I told her there use to be more people around. She said the person for Electronics wouldn't be in until 2:00pm. Even after I thanked her she was still rude and nasty. This store should close its doors. Worst place to shop. read more

Delivery service is horrible. Walmart does a great job getting the order right and sent out in awesome time, however, will it make it to the right house? Several times my orders have been sent to the wrong house and they sometimes include a picture of the items sitting on the porch of the wrong house! Do they even check the house numbers?!?! And beware Walmart+customers, the so called "free" delivery you pay for in the membership fee. I was charged a delivery fee anyway and should not have been. Walmart has completely lost my business because of this delivery issue. I'm not even one entire mile away from the Walmart near me.. Their policy with requiring everybody in your group to show ID when purchasing beer/wine is ridiculous. My previous review still stands, but knocking their star rating down to 1 because now when I've got kids with me I have to either leave them in the car or ask them to wait for me outside when we're done shopping which is a HUGE inconvenience. How do they expect parents with kids who are under 15 to have an ID? So without an ID or if your kid is not 21, and if you are unlucky enough to have a staff member there request everybody prove that they are all 21+, then tough luck, you'll be denied alcohol purchase while everybody else in line looks at you like you're trying to commit a crime. It's a dumb policy. read more

I use an electric cart to shop as these stores are way too big to walk around in. The store can be VERY cold, but the worst problem is they have very few battery carts to shop in. The Walmart near Jonesborough has no problem. This larger Walmart is for kids, not seniors or disabled to shop. They need at least 15 more carts and a charging area, not vending machines. I mean, it's Walmart, right? I do my weekly shopping here, both for convenience (they have everything in one place) and prices. I come early in the morning to about the crazy, and I pretty much always have a pleasant shopping experience. The workers are friendly and helpful and the store is generally well stocked. I've noticed that the later in the day I come, the less pleasant my shopping experience becomes, so if it's afternoon, I chose another store to do my shopping. But first thing in the morning (I'm usually here around 8am), it's really a nice place. read more

Went to this store today and was frustrated by two things. Wanted to get a loaf of French bread sliced and was advised the slicer was broken, as apparently it was for the last month. Might get a new one in about a month. Not acceptable in the largest retailer in the country that can't pay their workers a living wage, yet still rake in millions. Also, picked up a gallon of milk without the scan code missing. Another trip to the back of the store! If this place wasn't as close as it is, we would do or shopping elsewhere! So have been to the location a few times in the last few years whenever I'm visiting TN. Most recent visit was good. I realize that they are not in stock of a noticeable number of products - though this is common all over - including Northern Virginia which usually has a good level of products available. I think that between people quitting their jobs across all industries, workers being hospitalized with issues, back ups at shipping ports - each aspect is causing supply chain issues. And people are stocking up more the last year or so. So anyway - the location had most of what I wanted. They even had the pub mix my family members like [the Walmart locations in Northern Virginia hasn't had it in months.]. I was also happy that they had a section of gluten free pretzels and a version of Pringles that are gluten and dairy free. I can't eat gluten, dairy, or soy anymore so it was a nice surprise they offer those products. There was a product we were trying to find and an employee of the store walked us directly to it. read more

Unbelievable!! Yelp says business owners cannot pay to remove ads... I already review them and my review is nowhere to be found! Hate how the late night shift are always yelling to one another as they communicate. Which is ok but when your a customer just 5 ft from you, do not scream to one another. It's was loud and unprofessional I also hate how many of their employees walk in your way forcing you to move to the side more than you already have! No courtesy whatsoever. read more

I had to stand in a very long line to check out. There were two registers open and both were very long waits to pay. As I walked out between the registers and the service desk, I passed five employees having a debate about what a disney character's ears looked like and how disappointed one of them was that no one recognized the ears she was talking about. When you ask why the lines are so long they always say that they are understaffed. I guess that it true. You can't check people out as long as the all important disney debate has to be settled! read more

Same Walmart store... nothing specials. Certain of times it is very messy store! I came here almost every other weeks to do my grocery shopping. Staff is very nice and willing to help you. Money center was closed during hours, refered to customer service by one of the rude women at the front of the store, at which there was 1 employee working and 10 customers in line, the 1 attendant dealt with the same person for over 5 minutes and I left. I had a flat tire and a bad spare tire Friday, March 5th leaving me stranded in Johnson City. I live in Bristol. A nice gentleman from Malone's Wrecker Service towed me to this Walmart. They had lots of business in the automotive department and they close at 6:00PM. Zack, the manager, assured me he would get me taken care of and he did the work. So, a big shout out to Zack and the entire department for getting me safely back on the road. 5 Stars. read more

I needed three small items to finish my Christmas shopping. I thought I'd give the nearby Walmart store on Browns Mill Road in Johnson City one last chance, even though their service had been horrible every other time I had been there. I used the self-check line, since they only had staff at about half the needed number of registers. One of the items I wanted didn't have a bar code. The "helper" arrogantly, rudely, and condescendingly told me that I "have to go get one" with a bar code. His attitude hit me wrong, and I reminded him that I did not HAVE to do anything, and left the store. Last time I'll visit Walmart. read more
