I am a previous Mystery shopper for the Walmart superstore's audits. I have had the worst experience with the coordinators of your shops. I had a problem with one of my answers I assume to give in the pre-survey. I did the pre-survey the day that I was assigned the shop and I had a mistake. Rather than allowing me if you to make the mistake right they just dropped and canceled the shop. I do not feel that is very professional at all. I feel like if you're going to have a company represent you and obtained shoppers for your company they should be professional just like you are. I would appreciate a change in the coordinators that you have currently. You should be more amenable to changes and helping your shoppers, do their job to the best of their ability. I would then resign with you as a shopper. read more

Let's face it. Yelp is really for the most part as a place intended for independent and local businesses, but this doesn't mean that we don't occasionally cross that line and review the chains. I don't really fancy the idea of reviewing a Walmart Supercenter preciseley because we all know they're primary benefit is low prices - everything else, with rare exceptions, is pretty much a weakness. I've been to this one more than a few times as a shopper primarily because it has always felt less likely you'd get shot here than at the one on Keystone. I also find the customer service typically a wee bit higher at this Wal-Mart than Keystone. I also now have a Neighborhood Market closer to my home, so lately I've not had to really hit the Supercenters as much. There are a handful of national retailers participating in the vaccine roll-out (at least here in Indiana). After exploring some options, once I qualified I decided to go ahead and sign up at this Wal-Mart because it's fairly close to my home and they were offering an appointment only about a week away. Since I knew it would be the pharmacist giving the injection, what could possibly go wrong? Oy. I arrived about 20 minutes prior to my scheduled and confirmed appointment. I'd pre-registered. There were cars in the parking lot, though it was emptier than usual. I quickly learned that they'd had the power go out and were not allowing anyone in. In fact, they were practically shouting at anyone who tried to come near the door. Obviously, I needed to know how they were handling scheduled vaccine appointments for a vaccine that would spoil if not frozen (since the power was out). Of course, I got met with "I don't know anything about that." Hmm. Well, how about you actually go ask? I mean, this is actually a scheduled appointment nobody had bothered to cancel and, well, certain life or death issues? I'm just saying. Alas, they were too lazy to actually inquire. Nearly 24 hours, I've received no contact from Wal-Mart to actually reschedule and, as such, will likely have to start the process all over again. Once again, Wal-Mart proves their customer service to be a zero. I give an extra star for honestly low prices. Truthfully, I should have known better than to not go to a medical center. Never again. The worst Walmart I've ever been to. Had to resort to call corporate because they literally stole about $40 from me. At this point it wasn't even about $40 but their attitude. They were so quick to bring up the cops but at that time I was so frustrated with their attitude and all I thought was what was a cop going to do. However, I should've. The more I think about the more I wonder if they mentioned cops to intimidate me? Was it because I was talking Spanish to my mom and thought we were undocumented? What's worse is that all they had to do was replace a gift card the "customer service" lady NEVER gave me. They "watched" the cameras and according to them she handed me the gift card. No she didn't. They couldn't even describe the damn gc to me. So you saw the cameras but can't tell me what color was the gc? Then in his mumbling he said white... white was the slip of receipt she gave me that had the amount on it. Unfortunately, I was so frustrated I only got the name of one manager. His name was Scott. They all came up to me with attitude. No apologies no nothing. So you mean to tell me that Walmart, a huge ass corporation, can't afford to replace a $40 gc?! Oh, did I mention I had just spent almost $300 just minutes before? My regret was not returning everything with the way they treated me. I've never in my 34 years of life had such a humiliating experience like this. Ohhh worst part was that I asked for my receipt back because now I have no proof of my gc... that useless manager said no. I really should have taken their suggestion and called the cops then. If you are on Pendleton Pike and looking for a store, I would suggest that you keep driving pass this Walmart!!! I usually bypass this location and go to other stores, but I decided to give it a chance, two times, recently. I wasn't impressed either time, but this time I had a pickup time between 10a & 11a and was hoping for a better experience. When I pulled in, cars were waiting. I arrived late and the groceries weren't ready (even though I received a message that said they were). I observed 2 individuals asking about their groceries. At 12pm the young lady said that they misplaced one of my totes, so I waited until 12:30pm. The employees were cursing, taking their time and gossiping. When I left at 12:30pm the same cars were still waiting. I ended up purchasing the same groceries at a different store where the service is 10x's better and everyone is professional. It will be a long time before I go to this store again. 1 question...Who in the world is supervising these employees?!?!? The ones that I observed are truly the definition of unprofessionalism. They could use training from Chick-fil-A employees. read more

Stopped by yesterday to get some toilet paper. There was some in stock but I feel like they were price gouging. A 12 pack of Quilted Northern toilet paper cost a little over $12. I'm pretty sure that's not a normal price (although Amazon currently doesn't have it in stock, it's priced at $8.61) and I wouldn't put it past Walmart to take advantage of people during a dire situation. I ordered groceries for pick up. When I got there, almost all the spots in the pick up area were full. I lucked out and managed to find one. After waiting in the parking lot over ten minutes (more on that later) I saw someone walk to their car with bags. Even though the sign said for pick up only and cars would be towed, someone was just parked there for shopping. I got out ofy car and looked around. I was the only person waiting in my car! Everyone else was just parked there. Anyway, I called to pick up my groceries and nobody answered. It went to voicemail. Voicemail was full. I called the main store and nobody answered the main line or the pickup extension. I was getting ready to go inside the front door, when I saw two employees headed for the entrance to the pickup door. I tried to call out to them, but they ignored me even though I was very close to them. They almost made it inside but I caught the door right before it shut. I said I came here to pick up my groceries I already paid for. The kid acted put out when I told him this. I told him I tried calling several different numbers and got no answer. I asked if this was common or if it happened all the time . He just shrugged. He shoved a phone sized tablet at me and asked me to type my name. Then went inside. It took him almost ten minutes to get my groceries. He came out and never went over the substitutions in my order or anything. He just opened my trunk, stuffed the groceries in and went back in his door. When I got home, there were weird substitutes. Like I ordered a package of fresh rosemary. I got a sprig of rosemary growing in a pot! I ordered a 24 oz bag of shrimp. They substituted it for 3 12 oz bags. No idea if I paid extra for that third bag. Anyway. It was awful. I will not order pickup from them again. read more

This is my 4th solo trip to Indiana in the last 5 years and I've got a system going by now. Land. Get luggage. Pick up rental car. Get on Pendleton Pike and head for Pendleton. Stop at Walmart in Lawrence for supplies. See how it goes? For my trip I need some basics, Kleenex, paper towels, a Styrofoam cooler, diet Big Red (which I can't get in San Diego), water, beer, a Sugar Cream Pie. You get the picture. Basic life necessities. I usually stop at the Marsh's in Pendleton also, to augment with anything I didn't find here (it's usually hard to find a cheap styro cooler in October). If not for a customer service supervisor at the front who took immediate action, it would be no stars. I just had the most hateful experience in this store with one of the associates. I experienced what I believe was reverse discrimination, with a cashier calling people to her register which has the light off and then when I got there, she proceeded to belittle me, talk nasty to me and then state she was closed and I cannot just walk up and expect to be taken care of. No sooner, her friend, another African American woman walked up and she helped her. After sending me back to another register where I waited and watched, she proceeded to call more people over. When it comes to stores it is your typical Wal-mart. There are three same items you would expect to find at any Wal-Mart location. The employees are not especially kind and are usually dealing with a lot of customer issues and the problems of the day. The store is disorganized in it's layout compared to some other Wal-Mart's. There is a lot of parking but, be extremely careful because people speed through the parking lot like it is a race course. I have rarely seen people kind to one another while driving in this lot. There are usually carts all around the lot as well. It is most busy on the weekends and on Thursday night. The beginning of the month is also usually very busy near the money center. There is a subway, a bank, eyelash and eyebrow place and they do auto maintenance at this location. read more

I typically hate to go to Walmart. It's typically crowded, busy, and only have a few registers open. Please purpose, was to return a small appliance that I had purchased and did not need. I was able to find a parking spot nearby that can really have a shopping cart left between the parking spot. We loaded it into the cart and headed inside. We were greeted at the door by two employees and then headed to the customer service center. Surprisingly, there was no line. The cashier completed the transaction in about two minutes and we were on the way back out the door. Yes, by far, was probably one of my best experiences at a Walmart ever! read more

Going to Walmart is not my favorite thing, but it's where I do most of my bulk grocery shopping. I shop at this Supercenter due to its convenient location, low prices, it fills grocery and other family and home shopping needs, and it has a pharmacy (which I use). This particular Walmart also has a Subway, a money center, a little game room with a couple of claw-games and candy machines (for the kiddos and nerds like me), and a Vision Center. I'm going to give an extra star simply for the pharmacy, because although they are usually busy, they remember me and try to be fast and friendly. I encountered one pharmacist that I ran into a problem with, but I haven't had an issue since. Other than being everything that everybody has said, sadly, (worn down staff that are especially not so helpful in the customer service area, lack of cleanliness and order, and terrible lines much of the time), it's pretty much what I have come to expect from Walmarts (especially the big ones). So, I try to smile and be kind (for my sake) and realize I know what I'm getting into (watch where you park, for carts that might just be loose and blow into your car), and I leave extra time and patience in my pocket. read more

This location is just meh, nothing special about the service or atmosphere. The store is usually clean and has what I need. The customer service is subpar but that's inline with the majority of Walmart's. On one or more occasion I've had to return items that were expired but this has also happened at Meijer and Kroger. There is definitely a sprinkle of employees that don't hate their job which is why I rated this location 3 stars. I've had my fare share of encounters with rude staff but I've also been assisted by kind employees. read more

I have three separate issues/complaints from June21-August 9, 2021 with Walmart store #3529 on Pendleton Pike in Indianapolis. On June 21, 2021 I went to the money center to pick up some cash that had been sent to me. The lights were out so I went to find a manager and asked f anyone was working in the money center today. She said that the employee called in sick or just didn't show up or they quit. She didn't know for sure. I then asked if anyone else could help me with getting my money and she said no. Apparently there was no one else trained to work in the money center besides this particular employee. (even the manager said she couldn't assist me)! I was dumbfounded when I found out that there was no back-up trained to work at the money center. The next time I went there to pick up my money that was sent to me I went to the money center again but this time the lights were on but there was nobody back there working so I find a manager and he said that employee is at lunch right now could I come back at 4 PM and I could get my money then. I waited till about 4:05 PM and head back into the store and go to the money center again and still nobody is there working so I find the same manager and let him know that there is nobody at the money center still he told me he was sorry but that person decided not come back to work and I would have to try tomorrow if I wanted to I told him why can't I just go to customer service the return area because that's where all the customers would go before the money center was ever there he said not there job to do that anymore I said oh well that's nice because the Walmart over by Beech Grove Indiana will do it at the money center or customer service he didn't have really anything to say to that and said sorry sir hope you have a nice day. I even told one of the managers there before I left if you can't find people that can't work or don't want to work that I would love to work there and would start tomorrow but she and the guy manager just smiled and went on there way like I was a nobody. 08/09/2021 I went to Walmart to just run inside and get just a few things like soda pop coffee creamer and salad dressing I wanted to grab a basket but there wasn't any available and neither were the shopping carts so I didn't really worry about it I went and got my stuff I went there for and saw that there was not one single cash register open only thing that was open was self checkout and it only had 4 of them working at the time there was like 25 people standing in line to check out and I mean this there had to be at least 10 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing well it was finally my turn to cash out well after standing there for so long my arms started to get tired I was slowly sitting my things down to get ready to Scan then when my hand went numb and I dropped salad dressing on the floor and it went all over the floor my shoes my pants so I went to one of the employees working close by and told her I had a accident and she looked at me and said absolutely nothing so took it that she didn't give two craps about anything so I picked it up sat the leaking dressing on the counter and payed for the rest of my stuff and just left. I couldn't believe they could not help me with like some paper towel or anything or run and get me a different salad dressing this has to be probably the most laziest store I've ever been to I hope I get a email or a phone call from corporate or someone high up I have been in management for a long time and that stuff would never ever happy on my watch if someone can't do a job well let's get them trained they don't want to get trained well we can replace that person or wants to work and move up a little bit and do different things at work time to time. sincerely. There's one thing I have noticed about some grocery stores since moving to Indianapolis: the produce section is disgusting. This is the third Wal-Mart I have been to that has fungusfied (yes I made that word up), produce! The green apples, lemons, and tomatoes were so disgusting. We just went through checkout lane 10. Cashier named Brenda was very rude. She didnt understand why I perfered not to put my childrens clothing items on her conveyer belt as it was wet and filthy from food products. I tried to hand the items to her and she copped an attitude. Then, didn't even give me my change back. This is why we will not be coming back to this location. Everytime a cashier either has a bad attitude or has no clue as to what they're doing. Maybe more efficient training in need, at least on common sense. read more

Paid $600+ for a vizio tv, and the remote died. Called pendleton pike store and the associate went to check stock; I waited for 30 minutes... she abandoned my call. A second call was dismissed by another associate saying "there are no managers in the store." I was polite and respectful, but be ready to deal with the worst people in society when you deal with walmart. read more

This store is lacking in cleanliness, staff, open registers, stock, and carts (both motorized for handicap and regular carts that are not broken down). I have more than once left my items at the front of the store and walked out because of standing in checkout line for over 20 minutes without an end in sight (not even Christmas time! ). Usually out of stock on distilled water, drinking water and filtered water, egg whites, cheese, butter, saltine crackers, baking soda - BASIC NECESSITIES! Occasionally you get a friendly cashier, but usually not. There is located inside a Subway, eye clinic and a hair salon. read more

Two stars is being generous. Worst Walmart ever. Employees are almost always rude, walk past you on cell phones in hand, hard to tell who's on the clock or off (by the looks of it 95% of the employees take a break at the same time), if you have to ask for help heaven forbid you bother one of them and if you do they don't really check to see if there is more stock in the back etc. There are a lot of empty holes on shelves that need to be stocked. I ended up at the Walmart in Fishers because I went for a particular item, the shelf was empty, online said it was fully in stock at this location but after asking one employee for help in checking in the back and being passed to 3 other employees first, after 30 seconds I was told no they couldn't find any on the back. read more

NO CASHERS ON SUNDAY AT 9;00AM! ONLY 2 SELF SERVE WITH BELT! THIS STORE NEEEDS A NEW MANAGER! This Walmart is always one of the worst in existence. The shelves are empty, the store is filthy and the employees don't ever acknowledge customers, instead choosing to visit among themselves and then act annoyed and upset if you interrupt them to ask for help. It never changes. But today was a new low. I arrived at 5:30 PM to get a few groceries, against my better judgement, only to find there wasn't a single shopping cart in the store. They were all out in the parking lot in the collection rails. Everyone entering the store had to turn around and go back out to the parking lot to get a cart and bring it in. What's worse, I shopped for 45 minutes and when I left, the carts still hadn't been brought in by store workers and customers were still having to go back out to the parking lot and bring in their own cart. Worst walmart ever!!!!! I ordered a toy kitchen online for my daughter. They sent me an email saying it was ready. I called just to make sure before I came that it was there and the girl answering the phone was so rude. She was breathing in the phone as well as eating something and it sounded like she was chewing cud. She asked me for an account number(which I didn't have because it's walmart and I don't have an account). I asked if she could look it up by name and she put me on a 10 minute hold and got back on to say she couldn't find it by name. I said well, how about an order number? She says that's what she asked for. SHE ASKED FOR AN ACCOUNT NUMBER!!!! She continued to argue with me(while chewing) and I told her I am not going to argue about it can you just look it up? She put me on a 10 minute hold again to find a pen?! Really????? Customer service is non-existent!!!! Needless to say, I want my money back! read more

This is the most heartless, insensitive, arrogant customer service I have ever experienced. My tire is almost flat. I stopped in walmart for repair. To make my day more intense my husband was just rushed to the hospital for a heart procedure. I explained to the service rep my situation and she says she is hard hearing and I have anxiety. W T H. I wasnt raising my voice I o ly adked if they could accelerate my request to fix the flat. She said I should just leave the car. I am really old and wouldnt be able to walk and cant reach anyone. One hour later my car is still sitting where it was when I brought it in. I was chastised for parking in the lane that said "tires". Made sense to me to pull on there. They will give me no clue when the car will be ready. A plug in the tire. That's it. Normally I wouldn't mind the wait but under the circumstances I would hope that the service department would have been a little understanding. At this point I would have to say that this is just simply put " mean". Shame on this service department. read more
