I live in Las Vegas, NV, but was traveling. Now the Walmarts where I'm from can be hectic and crazy especially close to closing time. Also in Las Vegas the employees can be rude when asked for help. Im in a wheelchair and sometimes I require a decent amount of help while shopping. Now with that said I came in to this Walmart in Hartwell about 10:15pm less than an hour before they closed. The store was clean and winding down. I was having a hard time finding things as it's a bit of a different layout from my Vegas stores. I ran into an employee named Edward. He was friendly and greeted me with a smile. He helped me find the last few items I needed in grocery. I must say all the staff seemed very friendly and welcoming. I was even impressed that none of them had earbuds in like the employees that work at Walmart in Las Vegas. If i travel back through Hartwell again I will definitely be stopping there again. Coach Brandon, Auto Center manager Dustin, and Team Lead Leonna came away from their tasks at hand to focus on our needs The problem was entirely my mistake in ordering the wrong sized tires for the rear of my wife's car but through their assistance was able to resolve the situation for an upcoming long drive. Even in today's very competitive environment it is no longer typical to find this level of customer service. It is obvious why their all have leadership positions and others would surely benefit from their training. We highly recommend this location for auto service and any other needs. read more

Monday Aug 16 at 725 I stood in line at the only open register that takes cash (since they turned all their self check outs debit or credit only) for 17 min. The line only moved one person thru it. At customer service there was 9 employees standing around doing nothing. Shelves not stocked. This Walmart is going down hill faster than any store I've ever seen. Every time I do pay in cash they want me to round up to next dollar... sorry but it's time Walmart rounds down to us considering they want us to get, scan and bag our own groceries or stand in line for 20 min because they only put one register open that takes cash or sell tobacco products. Needless to say tonight my groceries were left in the cart at customer service and I'll never step foot back in this Walmart If any. read more

Walmart in Hartwell is a joke at best! The way that the management and customer service talk to each other employees is absurd much less how they talk to customers!(they even think it is cute for employees to lay in the floor at the entrances)! I understand that these are trying times that we are in! But do not work in customer service or the public if do not have a very good attitude 99% of the time! People have moments where they get frustrated! However, these ladies have been this way on several occasions! Also, We bought a television last night that wasn't cheap at all! We got at home 10 minutes after we got home opened it the screen was broken! Things like that happen! We understand! So get back tonight oh, I already knew the way the girl was acting she couldn't be bothered! Real snippy attitude! Rolling the eyes! She literally had 45 minutes before customer service closed was it like became 5 minutes till close! I went and got what I needed! Then met Kris back at Electronics! He checked his account the money was not in there. They said it would go right in! Then we get back up there to find out why it did not go back into his account! They said their policies has changed when they updated the system. Which wasn't said to begin with. That it would be 24 hours, then they said it would be five days then they change their story again and said 14 days! The entire time they're rolling their eyes getting snippy the Nancy lady wanted be hateful towards us then joke around with an employee. Things would've went a whole lot different had the employees not acted with incompetence, and oh well rude attitude. With largee purchases and supposed changes have meetings and get on the same page! Which Anderson management just confirmed wasn't true! And remember there are cameras everywhere so when I call corporate they will be able to see just how many times you lied and was rude! Yes Kris was asked to leave! But can you blame him for going off when you've been lied to and it's in reference to hundreds of your dollars! Not to mention the unnecessary disrespect after they were the ones who didn't do their job! And the customer service employee should have probably not said I meant to hit gift card because you were just swapping it out! I mean this whole heartedly if the employers at Walmart are treating you poorly and you feel like you cannot speak up for fear of losing your job! Let me know because the last couple of months how management has spoken to employees is absolutely disgraceful and I will let corporate know for you! It is really sad that teenagers are great with customers and have more respect than 20-60+ year olds! I'm very stubborn and several places I will drive out of my way to go to. I shopped at Walmart today. They have removed the requirement for masks. There are no more directional signs on the aisles, and there is no one monitoring the front door. Apparently, Walmart thinks COVID is over (and today we just topped 200K deaths!). While I'm not sure the people counting customers at the door were critical, masks are, and so now I will shop elsewhere. Even if masks are not required in other stores, there are generally fewer shoppers, so it is safer. Very disappointed in Walmart. read more

When we arrived there was around 10 employees out front standing around doing nothing. This was the same all throughout the store along with unstocked shelves and dirty aisles. When we were leaving, there were two young men collecting shopping carts in the parking lot. They watched us pack our groceries in the car and get in the car to leave. As we turned the car on to leave and put it in reverse, they parked their shopping cart stack right behind our car and refused to move it as we began backing out. I got out to speak with them and they refused to move the cart so I moved them myself. They insisted it would only be a minute after we had sat there waiting on them for 5 minutes already. They literally watched us prepare to leave and parked their carts behind our car right as we started backing out. I literally have no words for the laziness and rudeness shown by the staff of this location. read more

In July I had my oil changed at Walmart in Hartwell. Last night driving home this terrible sounds and vibration started. Something fell out from under the car. It was the skid plate. I called Walmart and spoke with Beth. Beth right from the start is saying that I hit something and that over the next couple of days she will review the video to show that the skid plate had been put on properly. Being I needed to get it fixed I took it over to ford and the mechanic there confirmed that it was not installed properly. I can say I will never use Walmart again being they can't seem to take responsibility for their mistakes. All I can say is be sure to check all your parts before leaving! read more

They removed 5 cashiers and added a lot of self scanners. Only 2 cashiers open and this worker recommended that I do self scan. If I had a zero option I would use it. Going to ingles from now on and to Anderson for other things that Ingles doesn't have. read more

7/25/16 I had my oil changed here. Left to head to work and made it maybe 4 or 5 miles before my skid plate fell off. I called and Beth said she had the remaining screws and the skid plate in her office. My first thought is why is it in you office and not on my car? She sent Doug out to confirm that it was the skid plate being she told me it had to be something else other than what I was telling her. Doug on his day off came out and confirmed that my car has multiple pieces to the skid plate and she came out with the screws so he could fix it enough for me to get back to Walmart. After having to stop a few times due to things falling I finally made it and Doug fixed it completely. Beth gave me a $50 gift card for the trouble and that covered the cost of the oil change. I guess it didn't matter that I had missed hours of work but it seems to me they are not organized and rush to complete the job and miss important things. Doug was great and have no complaints about how he saved the day! read more
