We went to the Graham Texas store, and checked out with 5 items in the Self Checkout lane. We were watched over the entire time, with the woman who's name I would ask for later peeking over my mothers shoulder every second of the transaction (although there were OTHER people checking out that she didn't seem to care to pay the slightest attention too) she even double checked the empty bags when we went to walk off keeping her eye on us the whole time, and then stopped us and told us rudely she had to SEE the receipt with all of the items the plain as day watched be scanned and bagged the entire time we were there. She said it was her "job to do random checks" although I have NEVER heard of this (I have used the Self Checkout basically every time I've gone to this store, unless I have a over full basket), nor had this happen in the entire time the Self Checkout has been out our store. We may have been checked at the DOOR of the store for the random checks (but always someone who was polite about it and not eyeballing us the entire time), during busy holidays or of course checked if something was not desensitized for the alarm. At the time she was giving us very loud and rude attitude, her department manager walked up, and did not once offer a word to us or for the cashier to not be rude when we were done dealing with them. They both just instead walked off, pretty much laughing and shaking their heads, which at this point I turned back around and asked for the unknown cashiers name because her tag was turned around and not visible for any customer to see, to which she said "My name is ----- and if you have a problem, this is my manager -----" who was standing right beside her. All I asked for was her name, I was not rude, and she kept spouting off more rude/unnecessary comments back to us among multiple people in the checkouts able to hear her.
After getting her name, we went to leave and I could just not leave without peace of mind as for being treated this way by a OVERLY rude cashier is not what ANY customer goes to a store for. So I went to the front desk and politely stopped a lady to ask if there was a manager over -----, so I could report my complaint about -----. Lucky she was the one who could help me, and I told her my experience and she said she would take care of it. I still left the store in a very unhappy mood and quite possibly the WORST experience from Walmart I have EVER had and I more than likely was one to shop at that store 7+ times in a week every week (somtimes multiple times in a day if I have forgotten something). I know I have met cashiers with their share of unpleasantness like a previous poster has mentioned, but they have never been RUDE or DISRESPECTFUL no matter how bad their day, until we had to deal with this girl.
I did not post names out of respect. read more
