After the weekend, the market is empty and they restock toward the middle or the end of the week before the tourist come. Their produce is disgusting, nothing is fresh. Try to find anything in the store and it's a challenge even for the people who shop there all the time. And let me just say this about the choices, seems like whoever is ordering is only getting a brand they like and then only what they would choose. For instance they carry Brigham's ice cream, the only flavor, peppermint stick. I happen to like that type but why buy only one flavor. I've tried finding large cans on albacore solid white tuna and so many other things, that were always there before this group bought the store and can never find them. They really need to take into consideration the people who live here and maybe cater to the people who keep them in business year round!

It may not have quite as much as a bigger market, but has some good and bad. The butcher was super friendly and if they don't have the bread that you might be looking for, ask the butcher, he may have some in the back. I've noticed that they have a decent selection of iced tea (unsweetened too!!). Rao's pasta sauce is an added bonus. They've got a pretty decent selection of beer & wine. I wish they had more Pilsners and lagers, but IPA's are more popular so that's probably a better use of space. Sometimes their veggies have issues, so look before you buy.

There was plenty of produce, meats, snacks, and more to choose from. They even have an entire aisle full of beer, seltzers, and other canned beverages plus, an aisle worth of wine. I also spotted aperol here (not sure of the price) which was surprising since many of the nearby liquor stores or convenience stores didn't seem to have any. One thing to note, and this is especially important for those of us traveling from out of state who don't have grocery stores that sell booze (looking at you, Marylanders), everyone who is with you will need to show valid ID. The three of us all helped shop and load the groceries into check out and we weren't aware that we all needed to show ID even though only one of us was making the purchase. I made the silly mistake of leaving my wallet behind but showed a picture of my ID to the staff who reluctantly told me it was fine but to just not handle any of the booze myself. Oops! Lesson learned for next time.

I explained that there were two medications on the prescription and she needed to transfer one of them from another pharmacy. She was not listening and told me it was too late in the day and they were about to close. I asked her to give it to the pharmacist in case he had any questions and I would be in the store for a few minutes. She said, "it's too late, he won't do it until tomorrow." I knew she never heard a word I said. The next day I went back to get the prescription, this time 30 minutes before they closed. I opened the sack to find they filled the wrong one. I told the nice lady that waited on me and the pharmacist heard me and blew a head gasket and came charging around to the counter and moved the little lady out of the way and took money out of the register and gave it to me. He told us he could not transfer a prescription because of New Hampshire state law. It would have to be a new prescription from the Dr. They already had the doctor info because of the information we had just given them the night before. He called a different doctor rather than the specialist. the other doctor's records were from several months prior so he prescribed the medication for one a day while the specialist had prescribed two per day for several months. When the medication had run out we went in to get a refill and found they used the prescription from the wrong doctor. We call the doctor and asked to send in a prescription. We checked later that day and the pharmacy said they never received it. The following day we called again, still no prescription. We called the third day and they still never had a prescription. At that point we called the doctor and they said they sent the prescription in the day i called them. I called Walmart Pharmacy again. They said "We don't have it." I told them the doctor sent it in the day I called. They checked again and found they had it. Then they told me they could not fill it because the first prescription was only for one a day. So now there is no medication for the remainder of the month because of their mess-up. This is very dangerous for a diabetic to be without a prescription because of the failures of the pharmacy. We will never go back to Walmart Pharmacy in Gorham. Our health is too important to have someone that doesn't care.
