Has to be one of the worst run Walmarts in NC. 1 full service register open on Sunday at approximately 11:30 am, several employees on their cell phones. At least 100 people in line half of the automated check out stations not working. This is a Thug store and the manager needs to be fired. This is not an isolated incident been in there before with the same results, will not go in there again. Customer service is non existent. Walmart use to be a good place to shop not any more. Not very well stocked, at least for the few things I was looking to purchase. Housewares, drinks, bakery all looked like they needed some work. That said, it was easy to purchase the few things I did find and the self-checkout machine worked well. The restroom was in good shape. This Walmart seems to tolerate RVers and I was able to park here overnight without trouble. The parking lot is level and there are no signs prohibiting overnight parking. It seems to be quite the hangout for locals so there was noise until the store closed. I was parked on the far north side of the parking lot. I prefer the Wal-Mart on Hwy 70 & 581 over this store because the merchandise is often out of order - (items abandoned in the wrong departments), missing price tags, and it can be difficult to find help when it is needed. Tonight I asked an associate where the nearest price checker was. He said they got rid of them and not only did he not offer to price-check it for me, he added, "you need to download the wal-mart app to your phone so you can use it to scan in the price." After the remodel the store is in worst shape! The check-outlines are longer with very few self-checkouts open (four out of twelve maybe open). Inventory is also very poor. Is it possible to remodel the management? Rosewood Walmart is in way better shape! read more

I got a root canal on Wednesday and had to drive down to NC on Thursday night. By the time I was 5 hours into the drive I was on the phone with my dentist pleading for help. After a 15 minute discussion about not having a dentist in NC to give me an immediate exam, the office offered to call me in a prescription for a stronger antibiotic and T3 for the pain. I googled the Walmart nearest my hotel and provided the number. I pulled into the Walmart before I even checked into the hotel. I reached the pharmacy and asked about my Rx. I gave my name and birthday and was told that my doc had only called in one Rx. I called the dentist backed and got conflicting info, but was provided the name of the person my doc had spoken to. All of a sudden the pharmacy had the second prescription but that "it had just come in" They told me to wait another 5 minutes to "put it in the bag".... 15 minutes later (I'm now sitting in my car holding my face and jaw) and i recieve a call - not telling me that it's ready but that they need a physical address to fill the T3! When I was standing in the Walmart they told me that my PO Box on file was sufficient. Another 15 minutes.... I walked back inside and find a mother/daughter checking out their entire cart full of sodas and sweatpants at the pharmacy counter... are you f($&@ng kidding me? There are three people behind me, including two seniors, and the clerk is allowing these people to check out none pharmacy items. For clarity, this pharmacy counter is steps away from the self checkout. When i pick up my items, instead of handing me my meds, the clerk puts the bag in the "consultation" window, says "consultation" out loud and walks away. For f(&&@ng real? I stood there waiting as people behind the half door looked at me and kept talking. Eventually someone walks up to the window, asked me if I had ever taken the meds before. I said "yes." She handed me my bag and walked away. No thank you, no have a nice day. This place, at least the pharmacy, is run poorly and it's unfortunate. Walmart has a leg up on the competition but I would surely overpay at a CVS to avoid the frustration. I will not recommend the Walmart Pharmacy at this location. Oh, wait! Two stars! Later that evening I returned to pick up a Neti Pot and sleep aids (since T3 does NOTHING). I was hungry/bored and in need of the fresh air so I asked the young lady at customer service where I could eat. She gave me a bunch of options and even looked up the directions of her smartphone (I totally could have done it on mine but her willingness to help was sweet) she definitely saved this entire store from the "one star of death." read more

I used Wal-mart pick up service for the first time, but I really should have known better. After all, I do shop at Wal-mart.I could not get an answer on the pick up line. Busy with a customer. tries several more times. No luck. So, I moved my car from the pickup zone and went in. First, I had the never to interrupt an "employee, lounging at the first pick up point. Shame on me. He sent me down to an orange door. Surprise! Surprise! there was no one there. Kadiyah, one of the "customer service" people told me that no one came in today. Neither she nor another clerk could do anything. Evidently, no one realizes that keys unlock doors. I pointed out that they could update the message - the one that says they are busy helping other customers. That message If I ever get my order, I will never shop at the Spence Wal-mart again. read more

This is by far the WORST Wal-Mart I have EVER been unfortunate enough to live by. Not only is it a hazard and pain in the butt to park here but they hardly ever have anyone working the cash registers. They used to have self-service but took them out and replaced them with regular registers because so many people steal from there (which is another example of why it is bad). So now even if I only need to get a toothbrush or a few items I have to wait for about 20-30 minutes in line because there are only around 5 people on registers. The store is also very packed most of the day; the only exception is after 11pm when it is somewhat empty. Yet, even at that time it still amazes me how many people go to Wal-Mart to grab items that could last for months that make the wait in line even longer. Do yourself a favor, go to the Wal-Mart in Rosewood off of Highway 70! Not only is it cleaner, the people are more friendly and parking is much better! Unlike this Wally World where people are ungrateful they have a job and seem like it is wrong for me to say thank you or something. Ugh! read more

I've visited this place a few times while in the area. The merchandise is normally stocked though not all the time, nor always neatly in comparison to Walmart's other locations. It's lighting is ok. I personally haven't had any overwhelming problem with the customer service here, though my few encounters have showed me that they'll speak when spoken to. The parking is pretty congested no matter what time of the day so I take it that it's in a convenient spot for the inhabitants of the surrounding area. If you need to grab something from here and don't care much else for the above things, this location will get the job done. read more

Anytime I go to this Walmart, NO MATTER WHAT TIME, the bathrooms are horrendous! Normally I just wait until I'm back home so I don't even have to go in there, but being pregnant you can't just hold it when your having a whole shopping trip. I just went to this location last night, saw people standing around and talking like they had nothing to do and the bathroom was disgusting! Toilet paper and paper towels all over the floors, from as soon as you walk in and into EVERY stall! Then I even had to clean a toilet seat because every single toilet had piss on them. I work in an establishment that we check the bathrooms regularly to make sure our customers don't have to deal with something like that. Get your act together Walmart employees. Went to Walmart early morning shopping. I had forgotten my phone when rushing from home. There was a dude on the aisle's I went down. Kinda creepy. When I got home, someone had hacked my credit card and spent over $600 on my card. Tried to call Walmart to check their recorded tapes in case this person was using a reader to scan people's cards. I am inclined to agree, completely, with the previous review: I've been to this Wal*mart several times within the past ten years and, due to experience, I only go here if I absolutely HAVE to. And I feel like I need a happy pill before I do. Why? 1. It's always crowded and there are never enough registers open. The ones that are open are operated by cashiers that seem utterly exhausted and foul-tempered. I don't blame them. The check-out lines are the kind you'd expect to see on Black Friday or after an apocalyptic event, so you're extremely lucky if you only wait fifteen minutes. I've waited 45 minutes or longer almost every time I've been. 2. The bathrooms are filthy and almost ALWAYS out of order, so grab a pair of adult diapers as soon as you walk in the door unless you want to do a pee-dance throughout the duration of your long, long, long, looooooooooooooooong wait in the check-out lane. 3. Parking. Where to start? It is ALWAYS packed and people are flat-out aggressive when getting the ever elusive "close" parking space. Not to mention the oblivious pedestrians who don't seem to comprehend the dangers of stepping out in front of a 1-2 ton piece of machinery without looking "both ways", and then taking their SWEET time in getting out of your way in bumper-to-bumper traffic. This Walmart may actually be the worst I've ever been to. I was able to order an Xbox Series X on launch day for pick up at this store and was told it would be ready for pick up that same day by 8 PM. 8 PM came and went with no confirmation that my order was ready for pick up. I called the store 3 times that night with no answer. I went to the store to find out what was going on with my order and was told that no one could help me. I then waited till morning to call and still no one answered. I still haven't received my order. The staff doesn't appear to have any interest in helping costumers with problems but more interest in just getting them to leave. And they definitely don't answer their phones. read more

It smelled like they've been in there for a week now. Throw the WHOLE cooler away. No one was in the hunting department, and the lady I told.. didn't really care. This review is concerning the area where customers pick up online orders. ABSOLUTELY INCOMPETENT customer service. I placed an order online and received notification that my order was ready for pick-up. Although the man(didn't get his name) seemed pleasant, it took almost an hour to pick up my order. Part of my order was missing. I told him to just refund me the items that were missing because I had to leave. He was unable to do a refund. He paged for a manager, no manager ever came. I told him to page a manager again. While he was doing that, a manager walked by. I stopped her and told her she needed to help me because I was in this store far too long and I was extremely frustrated. NO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I would avoid this particular Walmart at all cost. It is work the time and drive to go to another Walmart. The horrible service starts from the top. Tried something new... Print photos from online. Could only pick the 1-hour option and they still weren't ready until 16 hours later (next day)!!! Then, they super cropped one of the photos (3, actually as I got copies) and refused to let me have one because it "looked professional quality" and needed a release form ON letterhead... So that one got shredded. Thanks for nothing!! I will NEVER use Walmart photo again. Not only was it not convenient as expected, but even the "manager" Shannon (male), was very unhelpful. read more

I do not quite understand the low rating. This is a huge Walmart with plenty of parking out front. There are nice wide aisles, a nice food section and I found the sales associates very friendly. From the outside it looks a bit dated but this is a nice store and Manager Leah Brantley apparently does a great job! read more

So we went to this Walmart about two days ago and was trying to figure out why there was only one lane open and the self checkouts were closed. As I looked around there was a man walking by with a cart. I looked at his tag and saw he was the assistant manager I didn't quite can't his name I said to him I don't understand why there is only one checkout lane open and the line was down the aisle. He then said to me well I don't know what you want me to do I had three cashiers call out as if it was my fault or I could have done something about it. Smh poor business and management skills. There were plenty of people walking in that store that worked there. One in which actually took items out of my cart and went to go out then back and as I called her she couldn't hear anything because she had earbuds in. And other workers walking through aisles on there phone's. I would rather travel the the extra few miles to go to a better Walmart than this one. read more
