Since leaving Ohio on Tuesday, one unexpected mission has followed us across the road miles: finding a proper outside car window squeegee scrubber. We checked multiple Walmarts, several gas stations, and even an AutoZone along the way, and every stop came up empty. What should have been a simple pickup turned into a full-blown road trip side quest. It finally took until Thursday afternoon in Fort Smith, Arkansas for the search to end. The funny part is how we got here. Thanks to the iExit app, we made an outstanding stop at the UFO burger mothership nearby, and that unplanned detour led us to this particular Walmart, where the mission was finally accomplished. I had a great conversation with Preston and Logan while talking about the whole squeegee scrubber search, and they were amazed that it took coming all the way from Ohio to Fort Smith to finally find one. That's one of the best parts of driving across the country instead of flying. The little stories become part of the trip. Untidy, starting from trash in the parking lot to carts in the cart corrals. Inside, the store was not as good as many others with a rest room that needed attention. Merchandise was in good shape, however. I found the "bottled water" department and the "lunch meats" sections to be stocked properly at 1pm. Men's wear was also good though the display of socks needed attention. Most of the front-end has been converted to self checkout. Not as speedy as I would have liked but my machine worked properly. Besides the total dumpster fire that the parking lot is with homeless stung about at every corner. The store its self is filled with some of the most disturbing, disrespectful people in fort smith. no one understands spatial boundaries. The auto center is ridiculous. Kids running the auto Center will argue with a 35 year mechanic that they are wrong. Don't waste your time here drive right down 71 south to the neighborhood market where normal people shop and have general respect for other human beings. as far as the auto center, definitely go to the Rogers Avenue store where the mechanics understand and know what they're doing. read more

Absolutely horrible service ‍ sat on the phone just waiting for the Pharmacy to answer for about 3 minutes just heard ringing so i recalled 2 more times. Thinking maybe it was connection or something but no.. The service is terrible. They had meat out that was a day old when I bought it,. Did not give a receipt,. I tried to call a manager to let them know about it,. No answer for 2 hours until closing time,. Then after I FINNALY got someone to answer the phone and buying another package, and it was too late to take it back then the manger wanted a receipt to even refund the meat. I ordered a grocery delivery from this Wal-Mart around 2 PM to be delivered between 6 PM and 7PM. By 9 PM, my groceries still had not arrived so I called the store. I was informed that everyone in grocery delivery had gone home for the night without ever bothering to deliver my order. They simply had not gotten around to it. I asked what compensation I would receive for this blatant disregard for my grocery order and I was told there would be no compensation. I actually met Sam Walton back in the 1990s and I can assure you that he would be absolutely mortified by the very existence of this Wal-Mart location. read more

The nice thing about this Walmart is the fact that their iPhones are live and they're connected to WiFi. For some reason the Android phones are fakes. Why is this cool? Because you can load up your favorite Youtube playlist and get a few extra views. That's great if you've monetized your account or you have put together a list of 80's hair metal band that is FIRE! Plus it's funny to see the same video of that time you got drunk and fell into your grandma's fish take on multiple phones at the same time. If you've got the time, set up a little table by the phone display and sign autographs for anyone who stops to watch your videos. I'm pretty sure that's how the Kardashians got famous. Seriously, who reads Yelp for Walmart reviews. Unless that particular Walmart has hookers hanging out by the front door then there isn't a lot to say. Just for the record, if you're looking for a Walmart with hookers by the entrance, you might want to try store #576 on S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The service that my daughter and I received at this particular Wal-Mart was terrible. It seems like no one wanted to be at work that day. I work in the customer service industry and realize the importance of at least greeting and acknowledging customers even if you're having a bad day. To begin with, my daughter had a few items that she wanted to try on. The associate looked at her and turned around without speaking or saying she would be with her in a moment. After standing there with the awkward silence, my daughter spoke up and told her she had items she would like to try on. Again, with a dry attitude, the customer showed her to a dressing room. As we were checking out, the cashier did not greet us, simply provided me with the total, handed me the receipt, without a smile or thank you. I will not be back to this Wal-Mart again.They definitely need Customer Service 101. read more

No Stars. I have been treated horribly by employees at this Walmart. They lied about the return policy. One employee during my return turned into 3, with all 3 trying to bully me. I asked for their names, and they refused. I asked for the manager, and he wouldn't give me any names. He would give me only the store number! He treated me as if I had mistreated the employees. I went to wal mart off Zero St. in Fort Smith, Ar earlier and I had went to pay in self checkout. I had 4 items. A mouthwash and 3 dish soaps. I was checking out but doing 2 separate transactions because one thing was for me and the others was for my restaurant my parents own. She randomly comes up and says "can I help you check out?" I was standing there confused and she repeated herself then I came to realize her pathetic self thought I was stealing. I was very mad and felt harassed. I told her I was paying two separate transactions. She obviously seen the credit card in my hand. Also when I walked in the self checkout area I obviously made eye contact with her so why would I steal when the worker is there? I wanna know why there were other people around but she chose to stalk and watch me then accused me of stealing when I literally didn't do nothing wrong. I just wanna know how do I tell the manager? Or should I sue her? She was a red headed older women. She had no reason what so ever to even think I would steal or to literally lock her eyes on me. On September 16th 2014 I went to Walmart on south zero st. on Fort Smith Ar with a battery . I spoke to the attendant on duty at that time and she was able to help me to some degree but needed futher assistance from her manager. He was called to assist us with the issue at hand . (Battery ) the battery tested good with the hand held tester so they put it on a load test and it still tested good . He told me it might be my connections so he told me it would be $3.54 for their technician to clean the battery post and put the battery back in (so the tech did) . The manager told me that if the problem still existed the it might be my alternator which I told him it had already been replaced . I returned today 10-5-2014 around 2:15 or so with the same problem my vehicle not starting in the mornings and if you have the door open without the vehicle running . The battery tested good again and again I was unable to get my problem resolved because the battery tested good with the hand held machine . They tested it again with the hand held for a load test and again it tested good . Now keep in mind this battery was purchased in march of this year so everyone kept telling me that it had to be something wrong with my 2008 Avalanche and that I needed to take it to the dealer . After feeling very frustrated I went to O'Reilly automotive store not four blocks from walmart and they tested the battety the same exact way and the battery tested good with the hand held three time then was put on the load machine and tested bad three times . Keep I mind the battery light on my trucks dashboard was lit up and the on board computer said check charging system this whole time . So I purchased a battety from O'Reilly on Townsend ave and Lance installed it for me because I am on crutches . The truck starts right up as well as all lights on the dashboard regarding the battery and charging system goes out . I returned to Walmart and took the paperwork with me and was told because the machine told them it was good there was nothing they could do and sorry . Was out $168.00 for a new battery from O'Reilly when I had a five year free replacement on the one I purchased from walmart in March of 2014 . NOT pleased at all . read more
