The Elverson Walmart is the favorite Walmart of mine and my caregiver. I get all of my groceries there. They always have a motorized cart available for me. I can no longer walk, and so this is necessary. The workers there are friendly and helpful when needed. I can get all of my grocery shopping done in 15 minutes. It is not overly crowded. There are a lot of bad reviews on here, but I have not had a bad experience there. read more

They need to screen the new delivery people better before hiring them. I have a disability and use a walker and a cane to get around, so I pick leave it at my door delivery. I got an E-mail telling it was delivered but there was nothing outside my Third-floor apt. door. When I called the store they showed me a pic of my delivery, sitting just inside the door to the building. They should have offered to have someone come and bring it up for me, but they didn't. Went in to find swim diapers. Asked a young woman where I could find them as I had looked a few different places and couldn't find them. She just said I don't speak English. Ok no problem, I try to find someone else. They were running away! As soon as I said excuse me just gone. Multiple employees! I asked one young man and he said sorry I just clocked out. Really! You can't take 2 seconds. if I did these kinds of things at my job I would feel bad and my job would not be happy! The service is definitely terrible! Common decency is just gone! Fruit is always moldy and rotten. Walking through the produce section I have to hold my breath because the pungent smell of rotting melons, apples, tomatoes, and mangoes is horrible. Also found moldy ham hocks in the frozen meat section. How do you get mold on frozen stuff? The seafood "section" is tiny and frightening. I would never trust their thawed- salmon that looks like it's been dyed red to hide the age. Fresh goods are a health hazard. There are no checkout lanes open and they have further restricted the self-checkout lines by reserving one for their app causing 45 minute long lines. Customer service is closed often making it impossible to get any assistance with returns or lottery redeems. Management needs an overhaul. read more

The auto center needs a definite improvement, I purchased tires here, in order to keep you warranty, you have to rotate the tires by them, twice now, I call the day before, they tell me, after 10:30am, no appointments, when I arrive I get a attitude from Charlie and tells me it will be 2 hours, one car inside, 3 workers, 2 of them talking to each other, eventually the manager Ben gets involved, absolutely no customer service or manners, he insists that I drive to Ephrata pa, that they have a tire shop there, I arrive in Ephrata, no tire shop, I call him obviously upset, he brushed it off by saying sorry I guess I was wrong, a real manager would of picked up the phone and called them, especially because I have been there and never saw a tire shop, but he was convincing by telling me it was way in the back, I figured he knew what he was talking about, guess not, I will never give that store another dollar! read more

I purchased a tv for myself for my living room from Wal Mart in Morgantown, the tv is on sale and had chosen for it to be delivered to my residence yesterday. A delivery van delivers a package in my name and the contents inside the package is two boxes of oatmeal. I got a text that my package ( tv) arrived so i went to Wal Mart immediately with the package of oatmeal and asked for the manager, the manager proceeds to tell me that as soon as any package leaves their store they are not responsible for any loss property due to the delivery company that is a third party contractor. The manager said the labels must have been switched and they were talking to the delivery co. And they told their driver to bring the tv back to the store and the driver told them he delivered it to the home that was supposed to get the oatmeal. At this point the Morgantown manager says there is nothing they can do to rectify this due to corporate policy. So now I'm without my money and a tv. FYI BEWARE read more

I cannot tell you how this company, as a whole, makes ONE HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS each year. When WalMart first came on the map, it was "we are trying to find American-produced items to sell" and the Smiley Faced mascot and friendly greeters that would put smiley stickers on your children's cheeks. Now? I could not find frozen pie crusts, and asked the closest employee where I should look for them. His answer to the WalMart customer? "They're right in front of your face" It took EVERYTHING that I had to not tell him where to stick his pie crust. read more

Awful service. I asked an associate if she could help me open a case, she said she couldn't but that she'd get someone with a key. I waited for half an hour. The rest of the employees I saw were teens just walking in circles on their phones. I gave up looking for help and left. As far as food goes, most of their vegetables are past their shelf life and their meat/dairy is sketchy. Anything prepackaged should be safe. Good luck! read more

I shop at Walmart for price and location. That's it. The shelves are horribly stocked. The produce department is attrocious and much should be thrown out. The meat selection is limited, choice of fresh fish is practically nill. Often there are only one or two cashiers so that the lines go down the isles and frequently the cashiers available range from indifferent to surly. One has been outright rude to my wife and I on two occassions. I have found one cashier who is nice and her name is Savanah. I would also like to complement Michael in electronics who has been extremely helpful on several occassions. I have spoken to customers who have been to Walmart on Route 100 North who have said that one is FAR superior in every way. The Elverson Walmart needs a new general manager. Tom read more

I was told today at the Elverson Store that because of thefts is why the store is unorganized. Many employees have been left go and the company has been putting more duties on the employees left. What a shame. Management here is unstructured and it shows throughout the store. Customer Service closes at 5pm, really? Lines of people waiting to check out with only 2 checkouts with employees. Pharmacy side self checkouts always closed. Other side has only 3 working self checkouts. Employees through out the store have no name tags or vests, why is that? Also I would like to add there are expired foods on the shelves, salads, meats, fruits and vegetables. Shameful place to shop. Please fix this store Walmart. read more

if I could rate this store a 0/5, I would. Management for this store is just pure laziness. I've gone to Walmart about 3 TIMES to get some perfumes I've been wanting for a very long time. The perfumes are locked in a case due to how expensive they are, which is understandable. But whenever I go to ask for customer service to unlock the case, they tell me that there would be someone to help very soon. Wrong. Literally have to wait 20-30 minutes after asking 2 times for someone to finally help. Once it even took 45 minutes. It wastes my time, while I'm on a time crunch due to the break time I have for my job. I gave my boyfriend money to buy ONE SINGLE perfume. He asked customer service TWICE and no one decided to show up after almost 15 to 20 minutes, while they reassured him that there would be someone to help. There's not even a lot of people who go to Walmart AT NIGHT. Just do your job and actually help people instead of lazying around and ignoring others. read more

Ordered motor oil online, and without the option of delivery I had it sent to this store for pick-up. I ordered (2) mutipack quantity: 5 of the Valvoline Full Synthetic High Mileage with MaxLife Technology SAE 5W-30 Motor Oil 5 QT. I received my email that my order was ready for pickup, but when arriving to the store, they only gave me (2) 5QT containers of the oil, rather than the mulitpack quantity that was described when I ordered. I proceeded to talk with multiple representatives at Customer Service, and was finally told that I needed to contact Walmart.com (even though the product showed in-store) and that I could receive a return, and try a different store because they didn't sell that product at this store, but that's all that could be done. I have screen shots of all the transactions, and believe I was a part of false advertising. Typically stores will honor mistakes (if this was even one) but in this instance that didn't happen. I was beyond frustrated after talking to multiple employees, spending hours of my time and receiving the run around. This year, Walmart has frustrated me on multiple occasions, this being the final straw. read more

The only reason I rated one star was because I could not select ZERO !!!! Worst Walmart ever I walked around looking for any customer associate couldn't find a single one once I found the one he said he didn't know where a product was and kept on walking. Found a second and third associate and both responded with "I don't know " no offer of any help until I asked if anyone knew what they were doing apparently somebody higher up was coming over but he never did. I've popped in here at different hours of the day, depending on my work schedule, and I have noticed a severe lack of customer service equipped with the unhappiest, disgruntled, snarky, and sassiest employees of all. I recently moved up here to PA and I am disappointed in the lack of etiquette of the people here. I don't expect a "hi how ya doin" or "you have a great day" in their skill set, but I am going through the trouble to locate an employee to find an item and find out that they are unwilling to help. Although it may be a 24hr establishment, the employees inside verbally make it known to you that they can't wait until their shift is over with just as disdainful body language and as soon as you go in those doors past 11pm, they pass off dirty looks that make your visit uncomfortable. I had a young guy sarcastically wail good night to me as I quickly ran in to grab something. A cashier took my money, handed a receipt, never bagged my groceries, and just left the register and a confused customer. I had a cashier accuse me of taking a stupid sale sticker and putting it on the wrong meat item. I had the manger tell me someone made a mistake or someone was trying to use a sale sticker for this item, and that he won't honor the price that was marked on the item. That was so dumb. Y'all need to get your shit together and stop placing blame on your customers and making us feel like we don't belong here. It's a shift; we all work one or something similar. Why complain about something petty when there are worse things seen and done? You know I don't really care if the darn groceries weren't on sale or not bagged, but please at least do us right. Not all employees inside are petty, but what really annoys me are the rudeness and attitude! Like some, I don't like being here late at night, and I just like to get what I need and leave. This Walmart isn't even fully stocked on some items and it takes as long as the soonest truck shipment. Some produce items are not available for days, so you have to aim for the organic ones, if they aren't sold out either. Bakery items look old. Meat packages are leaking juices, and they don't provide any sanitizer unlike some Walmart stores. Why are half the self checkout lanes inoperable? I usually keep positive and have good things to mention, but I have nothing short of bad things to say of this walmart in town. Don't shop here if you want to get what you came for, Within the last 8 months this store has gotten worse in so many ways. Two check outs open and even with the new corral self check outs (only one out of two of those were open). Lines were out of control and I nearly witnessed a fist fight over who was in line first. Never again! The store manager finally opened a checkout (about time! I called 1-800-walmart while I was waiting in line. They told me they contacted the store manager.) The shelves are not being restocked. It's obvious that Wal-Mart is barely holding on. I think what they need is for Wegman's to buy that land next to them and open up a store asap! read more

I shop at this Walmart regularly, more out of convenience with it being close to the house. While I know not to expect too much from my shopping experience, today just pushed me to my limit. I realize Monday's are usually restock days from the busy weekend. However- it is no excuse to be an A-hole to the customers. I went in to buy milk for my 1 year old (who was with me)- and the shelves were completely empty. No big deal.. I politely asked an associate if/when they'd restock. I saw tons of crates behind the shelves. She very rudely told me that they won't have milk for A WEEK. The biggest load of bs I've ever heard. Again, I politely again said, well I noticed some behind the glass. She then told me it was "locked" up and her manager told her not to touch it. She was so incredibly rude and dismissive- like my asking was the biggest inconvenience. So I made my way to the front to ask the only kind and helpful associates that work at this establishment- the cashiers. Penny was gracious enough to speak to customer service on my behalf and ask them to restock. I made my way back to the case where two other ladies were waiting. Another associate walked by and one of the ladies inquired about the milk- where again he rudely responded "I don't know, I work in the meat dept." After a few minutes they started to replenish the shelves. I want to make it clear I NEVER write bad reviews. Ive worked in customer service/food industry for 10+ years. I get it, some days people are just off. Some days customers can be real A-holes. Maybe they have some job dissatisfaction. But this was honestly unreal. MILK. I would venture to say 95% of people grocery shopping are out for milk. I certainly hope you properly compensate the workers that ACTUALLY give a damn about the customers- because what a stark difference. My first interaction today with the young blonde woman was shameful. A lesson in empathy and work ethic is a must. read more

We will no longer be shopping at the Elverson Walmart. On Wednesday, June 17, my husband and I visited that store for a few items, and we were dismayed to see that most but not all employees and customers were wearing masks and safe distancing. On the Walmart website I found, "On April 20, Walmart began requiring that associates wear masks or other face coverings at work," and a note posted at all Walmart entrances says that all Walmart associates are required to wear masks. Customers are only "encouraged" to wear face coverings. We went to the deli department for some sliced meat, but the deli worker was not wearing a mask, a Walmart requirement. We went to customer service and were told that the "associate might have a health condition preventing her from wearing a mask." Really. This associate was working in a department serving fresh, unwrapped, unprotected, food. We find that appalling. Walmart's own regulation states that all Walmart associates are required to wear masks. Any and all associates working with fresh foods must wear masks. We feel we can no longer shop at this store, and that to do so could endanger my family or others because Walmart is not enforcing its own required precautions. I gave it one star because Yelp would not allow zero stars. read more

Unfortunately have shopped here for a couple of years but no more. I can only imagine (having worked retail) what a nightmare it is to be employed here given the most unhappy and exhausted group of workers you will ever meet. Things have really gone down hill since the Covid virus came into the picture. There is NO ONE cleaning carts or anything else. They do not enforce common sense precautions, there is never any hand sanitizer (always empty) no cart wipes. They must be loosing workers in large numbers and not hiring anyone to take their place. Have fun checking out your $200 order in one of the tiny self serve check outs because there isnt anyone at a regular one. Pallets of stock just sitting in the aisles with no one to put the stock away. Whole random shelves empty (bed sheets for example). I don't like shopping in the store and mostly do curbside pick up. I usually have to pick up my order and then follow up by going inside to find the things that weren't included in my order because they were 'out of stock' and no subsitution could be found. I go in and magically find all the missing items from my order. I don't really blame the workers. Given the way Walmart operates I wouldn't go out of my way or give a sh@# either to fulfill orders if I worked here. The final straw was yesterdays pickup where I drove by a newly designated special parking place...reserved for.... was it expectant mothers? no, was it people shopping with young children? no. They just created a special parking spot right near the front of the store for the POLICE! Not great timing Walmart and don't know why the police need to a special parking spot like they are a person with a disability of some kind. I guess we know where you stand as a corporation in this time of turmoil in our country. Disgusted by this corporation as a whole and no longer wasting money here. read more

It has it's up and downs. Most people working there are nice. Produce is terrible most of the time and rots about the time you get it home. Much of it is over watered and rotting in their bags. They seem slow to restock after weekends, so I have learned not to go on Sundays or Mondays, as many items are out of stock. Not much else in the area unless you drive far, so you learn to deal with it. Don't go there around five in the afternoon when everyone gets off work. Lines are huge, and very few open. If you have frozen food, it is melted by the time you get checked out. Seriously, it gets ridiculous, with very long disgruntled lines. Electronics department is a joke, if you are computer shopping.Not much selection, disorganized, hard to find someone to see anything. There are items in the locked cabinets that aren't on display!
