I needed 4 new tires for my automobile and after price shopping online Walmart in Crestview, FL had the best prices so I went there, after waiting in line for a customer service rep to talk to I was told that it would take about 2 hours because they were busy so I said that would be alright and I would just sit and wait. Well after five and one-half hours of waiting, I was told that the job was completed. While waiting I noticed that each customer who came in after me was told the same thing, it would take about two hours, this seemed to me to be a line that was either made up by the customer rep., or was provided to them by a supervisor. Needless to say, I was not happy by the time I left the store. If a large company wants repeat, happy customers the truth would be foremost at all times. read more

Where can you go for a one stop shop. The produce was fresh, layout of the store was a bit funky making you have to back track to get what you need. The nail salon was so packed with what appeared to be some sort of special going on- all local seniors getting ready for the weekend. The prices are a bit high here compared to the Walmarts up north- bizarre you really need to know your prices to find a deal. I'm here on vacation from Nevada for 2 weeks. I went to this Walmart and I want to tell Management about 3 special employees. I was looking for something in the electronics department, Madison approached me and asked if I needed help. She was polite and helped with the biggest smile! Her co-worker Jaye also was helpful and had the biggest smile as well! I was looking for cheese and your associate Jim was extremely helpful in directing me to where the cheese was located. The store is not easy to navigate because the reorganization, so I was happy Jim helped me out, again with a big smile. I felt the need to let you know how great these 3 people are and the customer service they provided was outstanding!! I was looking at a firearm I was curious what caliber it was so I asked the assistant that was at the desk of the time named Tootie if he could please find out what caliber the firearm was. He then told me he can't open the glass because the sheriff department will arrest him. It seemed to me a little outrageous that he would tell a customer that so then I asked him okay if you can't open the glass then you can surely check on the computer and tell me. He then acts like if he's gonna check on the computer then tells me that he doesn't have his phone on him because he left it in the locker and he can't log in and then he processed to tell me that I would have to come back tomorrow.. Like are you serious? This guy does not want to work, is super disrespectful , and has absolutely the worst costumer service I have ever seen ! If your looking for assistance ask for anyone other than tootie he does not want to do his job and will just tell you to come back tomorrow to not have to work save your time and get assistance from another employee that actually wants to do their job and wants to help unlike Tootie. read more

We went thru self checkout yesterday with several small items and some large heavy items like dog food and cat food. The small items were removed from the cart and scanned on the machine, the dog and cat food and cokes remained in the buggy to be scanned with the handheld scanner with the wire. We scanned everything remaining in the buggy, the scanner even beeped to say I got the code.. I turned around and noticed my total was incorrect, also only 4 items were on the ticket, I looked for the cokes I scanned with the handheld device and they weren't there along with the dog & cat food. I lifted everything up and scanned it and paid. We pointed out to the self checkout lay that the scanner is broke and advised her to wrap it in a plastic bag or put an out of order sign or something. But she said the manager doesn't like that idea due to it not being pretty. We stopped to talk to the Team Lead on duty and told her about this and she too was already aware of the situation. We were nearly going to walk out of the door without paying for some items due to a self checkout error. I'm thankful I realized the problem before it was too late. Everyone be careful in self checkout! They fail to properly mark out of order equipment in self checkout, potentially making your Walmart trip turn into a trip to jail! It's a Walmart. So, what's there to review for the Crestview location? First off, the COVID precautions are beyond ridiculous. Either you social distance, or you don't. If masks are now optional, then stop asking me if I want one, every time I enter. Infuriating. The lack of certain products in store, when their website states they have them, is also annoying. This store used to be one of the best Walmart's I've visited. Not anymore. Before, there was excellent leadership and knowledgable associates. Many of these older associates are now gone. Sad. I bought a printer yesterday, when we took it out of the box it had food and glitter all over it.. We tried to take it back today and get our money back since it had already looked like it had been used. Walmart said they couldn't give us our money back and the serial numbers didn't match. FURIOUS that management will not take my return for NON-PERISHABLE food items. I'm an evacuee from Miami that brought canned goods with me just in case while I made a 15 hour commute to Crestview to weather out Hurricane Irma. I also purchased produce last night, well AFTER the "hurricane" (aka fog and rain mist) passed under the assumption I would be driving home to Miami Wednesday due to blocked roads. NOT ONCE did any associate inform me that ANY food items could not be returned due to the hurricane. There was no signs informing customers about this decision. I just received news I could return home today (Tuesday), so I wanted to return the items purchased (which were refrigerated as soon as I reached the place I've been staying at) before going home - because duh, I don't have a cooler with me for the trip. Management advised me that they aren't taking returns and that the policy is listed on their site. That's complete bullshit and theft, especially for canned goods that can be resold. That's taking advantage of people during a state emergency, not to mention this area was barely impacted by the hurricane. Full return policies are listed on the back of receipts, which in this case, there is no mention that returns are at the discretion of store managers. Unless I make an online purchase on Walmart's website, that's very misleading and a cop out to tell customers that "the policy is on the website". It's not my problem is this store location is underperforming and they can't afford the influx of returns. Under any normal circumstances, this return would have been accepted. I think it's a terrible way to treat people that actually had to flee for their life. If I could give zero stars, I would. Drove in for the grocery pickup, got my order, and came home only for my husband to take a big drink of the milk they gave us and it was spoiled rotten. It hadn't been opened and it wasn't past it's expiration date. It's like someone left it sitting out for too long. I tried to call customer service three different times, waiting on the phone more than 5 minutes each time, and not a single answer. Very disappointing service. Just walked in there earlier today for the first time. I just moved down here from upstate NY. All my old town had was a Walmart, which was decent, but this Walmart here in Crestview is by far the nicest I've ever been in. It's huge and there's just so much. Everything is really organized and clean and you know where to find things right away. I live close by so I will definitely be frequenting this location plenty. read more

Unfortunately, this is the only Walmart that is super close to my house. It's by far the worst Walmart I have been too. There isn't a great selection of anything especially in the baby area. I went in needing baby food and they didn't have the stage I needed. Come on really, the baby food is one of the biggest areas that I see need to stay stocked. I have never been to a Walmart this bad. The Niceville Walmart on the other hand is a lot better! I wish they could fix this Walmart up. read more

Wal Marts sure have changed since I was a kid. I grew up in a small southern. When I was around twelve they expanded the wal mart into a supercenter, and it was the place everyone went to when they were bored. Military service sent us to Delaware for a while. The wal mart there was so terrible we stopped going. After seven years, military service sent us to Crestview, where we hope to put down roots and stay. The Wal Mart here is much better compared to the one in Delaware. It's less crowded, people are nicer (thought there are some that are quite rude) and don't stand too close to you, but the customer service is still quite bad. If you need help in a particular department, you have to journey around the store in order to find an associate to help you. We have to inspect everything we buy there for tampering, because it seems stealing is rampant there, despite the security cameras. The produce is pretty good. We usually get a some of our produce here instead of our regular grocery store. But the store in general would need to improve quite a lot before we started shopping there regularly again, particularly the customer service. I doubt that will happen anytime soon, because the store is so big it doesn't make much difference if you take your business elsewhere if you aren't happy with the service. The auto repair counter is overworked and understaffed. Simply writing up the ticket can take 4-5 minutes and is frequently interrupted by the telephone and other distractions. A recent visit at opening time (8 AM on Sunday) resulted in a 22 minute wait to write up the ticket followed by an an estimated repair time of an hour as there were three people signing in ahead of me. It has now been 2 hrs and 37 minutes wait time to get a flat tire repaired and it is not yet finished! Its interesting to note that the counter was staffed (one person) well in advance of opening but no action was begun until the clock ticked past 8 AM. Wal-Mart is the only store around this area, that I can get all my stuff in one go. But it would be nice if they had more than 3-4 registers open. Stay away from the automotive department. They are truly incompetent. Oil change take forever. They forgot to tighten the drain plug on my wife's SUV. I took my car in earlier for a balance on the wheels and they forgot a lug nut. This is so dangerous. If I didn't realize it, I could have lost a wheel driving down the road or my wife's engine could have seized up and needed to be replaced. There are some serious safety issues they need to address. read more

It's tough to rate this store. In one aspect they are a decent store and in others they aren't very good at all. I shopped at this store before so I have had many interactions with there staff. For the most part this is a decent store. The bathrooms usually smell bad though. The water in the bathrooms are too hot for some children. One child screamed as though it burned her. My child complained it was to hot for her. I have seen an employee get pissed at throw money at a man who is dying. Yeah actually hit him with the change. I dealt with their high risk department do to an injury they caused. Now I am concerned that they won't keep their word about paying the bills when the man that promised me that they would pay for it no longer watching over my case. A woman called me but left me no contact number and never sent me any paperwork she said she would. When I was hurt no one would listen or get me help. I am poor and cannot afford much so the deductibles that I am forced to pay before I can even see a doctor are unaffordable on my income. I have to rate this store poorly since they left me to figure out how to get help for my injuries all on my own and would not call an ambulance for me. read more
