I visited Harbor Freight today and picked up an item from the discount table. Because of that, I brought it to the cashier and asked if someone could check the correct price for me. The cashier called for assistance over the radio, and an older male employee came over to help. Unfortunately, the interaction was very unpleasant. He was short and dismissive from the start, and his tone made it feel like I was inconveniencing him just for asking a simple pricing question. I understand that employees get busy, but basic courtesy goes a long way. Customers shouldn't feel like they're bothering staff when they're just trying to make a purchase and clarify a price discrepancy. I've generally had outstanding experiences at Harbor Freight, but this interaction left a bad impression. Customer service like this reflects poorly on the store. A basic pricing check should not turn into an unpleasant interaction with an employee who treats customers like they're a nuisance. Mumbling comments under his breath and trying to hurry me away. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reminds staff that customers asking reasonable questions should be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism.

Fuel pumps out front, couple seats on the porch, but then you walk in and it's a whirlwind of tiny town cliché! A small grocery store in the center with literally 4 package of each item, coolers for drinks, and a fountain for soda. To the very rear an extremely small flea market, and to you immediate left the "diner." There was also some seating inside if you wanted to dine in. The food menu sign reminded me of a 1950's restaurant. Stained back lit plastic with black lettering for items. They weren't exactly cheap but I'd say a typical price for a burger. It does not come with fries or drinks. The wife and I both got burgers, but I got tots and the wife got onion rings. The kid chose the chicken tender meal. The burger was a bit disappointing; I'd say maybe a hair better than Sonic, and the tots were soggy. The onion rings were okay, and my kids fries were soggy and limp... Her chicken tenders were pretty amazing though! The older lady working the store register was extremely sweet. You actually pay up front after you pick up your order. I always have high hopes for these hole in the wall places because you never know when you might hit a gold mine. All in all chicken was good but burgers were okay. Not lots of flavor and on the more pricy side. Glad I tried it at least once.

Needless to say we went to Hank's across the street and bought a recliner there. Rude, racist and employees and management and then lied to my face when they said they didn't say, hear or laugh at the nasty comments made about my family and I. YOU CANNOT BUILD A COFFEE SHOP ON INCONSISTENCY…read more I was able to stop in this coffee shop on two different occasions on back to back days. Sunday, was my first time and I was pretty impressed with the shop, given the fact that it was in a small town and it didn't have many reviews at all. I ordered a Cortado and was really surprised by how well done it was made. It had the perfect consistency, texture, and flavor, with the perfect ratio of a well pulled shot of espresso and properly steamed milk. Whoever made that drink needs to train the whole staff, because based on my second visit, it is very clear to me that the owner is not doing their job properly in hiring/training baristas. The very next day I walked in very exited for my Cortado again! Being from Seattle, I find it very hard to find a properly made Cortado, and so I was excited for another good one here! But to my disappointment, this time, it was just beyond a let down. It was borderline disrespectful and just absurd. I walked the coffee back up and explained to the barista, this was 100% not a Cortado. It was more of a latte because it had lots of milk. It looked really bad. So then she nicely took it back and said she will remake it. Surely enough, it was very clear these workers had no idea how to make coffee. The lack of training and knowledge of coffee became very clear. I got my new "Cortado" and this time it looked more of an espresso shot with no milk. Unbelievable. I hope the owner reads this and does a better job of training its workers to understand their jobs. Just because 99% of the customers here probably order vanilla iced lattes, or other sweet drinks does not mean every worker should not know how to make EVERY coffee drink the proper way. It wasn't even close. Seems like by the merchandise, they care to take their coffee serious but the "baristas" don't know how to make drinks... Disappointing. You are a "specialty" coffee shop, not a Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks.
