I'm not much of a shopper, particularly an outlet shopper, but I've been here a few times over the…read moreyears. Huge, handy off the highway. This time it was a pitstop on the way back from Ren Fest. A place to eat and get off the road. And for Kid K to shop. I told her it would probably be busy since it was an outlet mall on a Saturday. It was not. Hardly anyone there. Half the stores were gone, empty, and a fair number of those still there were not open. We went to Carter's, TJ Maxx, BBW, and Pottery Barn. All huge, all with lots of interesting items. Most not at great prices, but a few real deals. Service at each was friendly. Not super easy to find each store, though there are signs at the end of each row. Easiest way to get around was to look at Yelp and see where each store was. No food to speak of in the mall. Fast food and a few other places out at the road. Restrooms were clean. And amusing (see pic.) The outlet down 71 slowly withered and died. This doesn't look that bad. Yet. It'll probably be years before I'm back, and I am not betting on it being open then...

But with hibachi in the name I figured that was their specialty, and it was pretty darn good. I got steak and chicken, and there was plenty of each, tender and flavorful, cooked to order (I got the steak medium; a carryout customer got hers "well well well well done.") Comes with a salad that was surprisingly good, though I think that's the first time I've had Bac-os in decades. Also miso soup, and a "side" of veggies on top of the entree. Lots of pretty good fried rice, good portions of meat and veggies. The chicken was cooked in sauce, and a bowl of yum yum came out for the steak. Not enough for leftovers, but plenty to fill me all the way up for supper. Reasonably priced for what it is. If I lived in town I'd come once in awhile. They also have ramen. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and efficient. Parking is in a busy strip; looked like bigger lots at either end.

Last night was Fiesta Flight Night and they had a Mexican food truck on location as well. It's a great time with all hands on deck preparing the curated, themed flights. The employees are all friendly and all smiles. In addition to the food truck, they have a market set up with local vendors which is fun to peruse. The coffees were delicious last night and full of flavor! My favorite coffee was the Horchata Chai, but the Mango Fresca was also refreshing! Check them out; they're a wonderful coffee shop!

The toast toppings didn't cover the bread fully, and the bread was incredibly crumbly and dry. My latte and my husband's mocha were okay, but nothing special and did not leave a lasting impression. When back in the area I'll probably try another spot, before I return. However, the helpful and friendly service and atmosphere was definitely worth it to give this small business a try.
